- I stayed here on December 15-16. It was a nightmare. I was originally staying in Room 104, but the heaters were not working. The staff moved me to another room, but the heating in the new room was broken as well! Edinburgh is freezing in December, and sleeping in a room without heating is unacceptable. I was shivering all night and couldn't sleep at all.
+ The location is great
- The rooms are boiling hot, with lots of condensation and mold on the windows that won't open. The pods get steaming hot at night and the individual fans in it don't work. The showers are dirty and the water was either boiling hot (actually hurts) or freezing cold.
+ It has a great location, close to Edinburgh castle.
- The capsule I stayed in was very hot and humid, and the water in the shower was scalding hot with no way to adjust it.
+ Arrivata verso l una di notte non mi hanno fatto check in perche dicono che a Edinburgo non c è internet di notte e non si puo fare check in. Mi hanno per pietà permesso di dormire dentro al lounge ! Una vergogna per una città perfetta. Aspetto spiegazioni e per ora chiedono anche la penale per non aver fatto il check in. Una beffa!

- I was unable to sit in the lounge owing to intrusive excessively loud muzak. Why impose this on your customers? Why assume that customers want this intrusive noise? How many customers have requested to have this loud muzak? If you were to ask people whether they would prefer loud muzak or no muzak what do you think they would respond - probably the latter!
+ We immediately checked out.
- The showers had mould, and the majority of the building smelled musty. Wouldn't recommend. We tried getting a refund immediately after check in, after seeing and smelling these things but we were told "no refunds". Paid for 3 days stayed for 0.

I saw three air vents similar to fans at the head of the bed, but there was no switch to control them. The USB charging port at the head of the bed doesn't work. The water temperature in the bathroom can't be adjusted, and it's a bit too hot for me. There are no advantages except for the location. Not recommended.

Très bien placé au niveau de la place Grassmarket. Tout peut se faire à pied depuis l’hostel. J’ai dormi dans un dortoir de 12 lits réservé aux femmes, chambre correcte avec suffisamment d’espace, casier (emmener votre cadenas), lumière et prise au chevet de chaque lit. Cuisine plutôt bien équipée, espace commun agréable avec vue sur le château. sanitaires bien entretenus, petit dej nickel. On peut laisser ses bagages après le check out dans des casiers sécurisés en attendan...
overall, very nice location, right in front of the castle. the vibes were great, but the shower was dirty, the water was cold and the wifi did not work at all (i had to use my data the whole time). there are no elevators so if you’re on the third floor be prepared climb a lot of stairs with your luggage.
Great location. The pods were super nice, cozy, and made me feel secure. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only thing is the doors can be very loud and the shower I used the water wasn’t hot. Overall a very good experience!
The power went out overnight during my stay. I woke up to a completely dead phone. The lights and outlets no longer worked in my pod even if they worked. I had to get up, pack my belongings in a dark pod, then sit downstairs to charge my phone for the day.

J’ai trouvé cette auberge sale, les couloirs et chambres sans fenêtres sont anxiogènes. Ça sentait mauvais dans les couloirs, les douches ne fonctionnaient pas toutes, le sèche cheveux ne fonctionnait que pdt 30 secondes puis ne marchait plus pdt 2 minutes. Ambiance hyper glauque. Le sol des toilettes était noir dans les coins. Les draps étaient sales, n’avaient pas été lavés juste remis en place après la nuit d’un inconnu. Ça me dégoûte. Froid et laid, et excessivement cher.
I found this hostel to be a bitch, the hallways and rooms without windows are anxiety-producing. It smelled bad in the hallways, the showers didn't all work, the hair dryer only worked for 30 seconds and then stopped for 2 minutes. Ambience hyper glaucoma. The toilet floor was black in the corners. The sheets were dirty, hadn't been washed just put back in place after a stranger's night. It makes me sick. Cold and laid, and excessively expensive.

It was my first time at a hostel ever - and I quite enjoyed it. Usually staying at friends or hotels on travels, one has to adjust their expectations coming to a hostel. Overall it's been a great stay. I booked on of those capsules, hoping it'd provide at least some privacy. It did, yet I had to leave the curtain open a bit as there was no air conditioning inside. Sleeping with ear plugs and sleeping mask made the sleep worthwhile, mattress was okay. Only most shower cabins floors were not dry.

This was the perfect place for a quick Edinburgh weekend trip! The location was a walkable distance from everything and everything was very clean. I recommend the sleep pods!
Nice hostel with perfect location right in the center, close to attractions. The general security at hostels is quite good, but my locker wouldn't lock. It wasn't super clean, and the doors slam really loudly, so you wake up at night when people come home. Overall though, I had a nice stay.
Nice stay, amazing location. It was a little hard to find at first, Apple Maps struggles with it. I stayed in one of the larger dorms, the door slammed, the bathrooms were a little rough, showers not much better. The pod was comfortable but got pretty stuffy and I had to leave the “door” open for ventilation. With all of that said, I’d stay there again for sure!
I stayed in one of the pods, which are a decent size and give you the sense of having your own private space which is nice. Everything was clean and the shower's hot water worked, and it felt safe. Only potential complaint is the pod got really hot at night if you closed it up all the way, but all in all it was a good experience and I'd definitely stay there again.

Really fun pub crawl. Wish there were curtains on the beds. The doors close REALLY loud. Great location. Be prepared for stairs if you’re coming from the train station
