Edinburgh House Hotel

- Muy mala comunicación con el personal... Lo que iba a ser un parón de luz de 40 min se extendió a más de 2 horas, sin la ventanilla de recepción abierta para poder preguntar e informarnos de cuanto tiempo más iba a trancurrir, ya que despues de estas 2 horas aun no habia nadie arreglando nada. Nos fuimos a otro lugar para poder descansar, ya que el check out es a las 10 y era imposible cargar los moviles, hacia frío en la habitación, era imposible ducharse y no ibamos a poder descansar. Hemos estado en varias ocasiones en la ciudad y, sin duda, hay muchas mejores opciones de alojamiento.

+ The only thing I liked was the location, as it is close to the main attractions. The room was very small for three people, and the staff were not helpful. There was no heating during the daytime. The website showed the latest check-in time as 12 PM, and I had already confirmed this with a staff member. However, upon arrival, I was asked to pay £10, as they claimed the latest check-in time was 10 PM. In the end, they apologized and did not charge us. On the first day, when we returned to the room around 3:30 PM, there was no heating and the room was very cold. When we asked, we were told the heating would be turned on at 4:30 PM, but it was not. After asking again, they said it was a miscommunication and that the heating would only be turned on at 6:30 PM. Eventually, after further discussion, they switched it on. There was also no water provided in the room. And a very bad room service. Overall, this stay was a waste of money, and I would not recommend this place.

- It was freezing, dirty and cramped with black mould in the bathroom, staff rude so tried to get a refund through Booking.com and they wanted us to pay additional charges prior to trying to get this money back, had to pay to stay in another hotel... Would not recommend this hotel

+ When we arrived, we could see from the state of the windows that cleanliness was not high on the agneda. Before we entered we were already dubious about staying. When we approached the check-in desk the staff asked us for a further £100 despite the room already being paid for in full. They stated that is is because they have an issue with problem guests. I refused to pay an extra £100 for what was already an expensive room (£225 for 1 night). I therefore asked for a refund, which was refused. They said that this extra £100 was mentioned on the Booking.com page but I searched the page in front of them and could not find it. They refused to show me where it said this. I did eventually find it buried in the site but no other reputable hotel I have ever stayed in has requested this. Despite a considerable discussion they were clearly intent on keeping my money and so we left for another hotel. I wrote immediately to the hotel manager and have waited for a full month now without any reply whatsoever and therefore I am leaving this review to warn other guests. The place was rundown and not worth £225 per night - and definitely not worth £325! The extra £100 apparently being a deposit that they may or may not return to you, at their discretion.

+ Perfect accommodation located within just a 30-minute walk of the town centre, making it very convenient whether you prefer walking or using public transport. The lighting in the room was excellent — we had four lamps as well as one large main light, which made the space feel bright and comfortable at all times of the day. A nice bonus was the free space provided, which added extra convenience during our stay. The toilets were fairly clean, and we were pleased to find plenty of toilet rolls available along with fresh towels provided every day, which really made a difference. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They even allowed us to store our luggage before check-in, which was very appreciated and made our arrival much smoother. Overall, this place offers great value for money, especially considering its good transport links and easy access to the city. We would definitely consider staying here again.

+ Difícil acesso, fiquei no segundo piso e tenho a mobilidade relativamente reduzida. Este foi o ponto negativo.. Precisei ir a pé 👣 porque os ônibus coletivos que vão pra lá são demorados. Não tem na portaria do hotel panfletos com mapinhas localização dos principais pontos turísticos. O funcionário que fez o meu chekin foi muito prestativo e procurou me orientar pelo Google tradutor. Já no ckekout não havia ninguém. Entreguei a chave para uma funcionária da limpeza. Um ponto positivo é que tem kettle e sachês de chá e de café ☕ no quarto.

+ Хотела като локация е на много добро място, има спирки на пешеходно разстояние от няколко минути и директни връзки до центъра и летището. Има много хранителни магазини и места за хранене. Локацията и цената бяха главната причина да изберем него, тъй като знаехме че ще го използваме само за нощуване. Излизахме много рано и се прибирахме много късно, за нашите нужди и за тази цена хотела е добър избор. Има самостоятелна баня и прозорец, което доста от по-бюджетните хотели в Единбург нямаха. Всеки ден влизат да оправят леглото и да сменят кърпите. Персонала е дружелюбен. Не се изисква депозит при пристигане, само проверяват името и ти дават ключа. Няма туристически такси.

- Хотела е стар, въпреки това с влизането мирише много приятно и е чисто. Леглото е ужасно тясно, за мен и мъжа ми беше много неудобно, но за 3 нощувки го преживяхме. Изключително шумно или поне нашата стая беше такава. Сякаш бяхме на тротоара на пътя. Щорите не покриват целия прозорец и следователно беше светло и пътната лампа светеше точно на възглавницата ми. Задължително си носете тапи за уши и маска за сън ако такива неща ви пречат. От съседните стаи се чува всичко. Ако ще използвате хотела за пренощуване е добър избор за тази цена не сме и очаквали повече.

+ Boa localização, passa ônibus bem próximo. Quarto pequeno mas aconchegante. Troca de toalha diariamente e arrumação da cama e tirava o lixo. Tinha chaleira, café, leite e chá no quarto.
