The Hosteller Ooty

The dorms and bathroom are really small. Like very small.

Positives: Brand new hostel, therefore I found everything very clean and in good order. Excellent conveniences in the dorms, with curtained beds for privacy, personal light and power points for charging devices. I arrived early in the morning by night bus and the manager kindly allowed me to rest in a private room while the dorm was getting ready. Very basic place just to crash if you have your own transport as it's up the hill and not strictly walking distance from basic needs.

Located far from grocery and restaurants, no in house kitchen. The rooms are not insulated and freezing at night. Electric heating blanket could be provided but for a fee (weird as it is needed for being comfortable). But the staff is helpful and really nice! Clean overall.

This is a very nice hostel! The staff is very sweet and helpful they help creating a very good atmosphere! The atmosphere here is the best we’ve experience after one month in India. They make bonfire in the evening which is very nice! The only bad thing is that the rooms are very cold during the night and there’s no hot water or good water pressure in the shower. We would definitely recommend but make sure you have warm clothes you can sleep in for a comfortable night.

The place is good and comfortable but the rooms are too cold, not enough sunlight. There's no kitchen, so you have to manage the food part.

Nice place to stay when in ooty! staff is chill. Nice common area and if you want you can sit at the campfire!

Just 1km from the city market makes te hostel an oasis of peace while a walk to the market though somewhat steep is perfectlt doable. Clean dormitories, clean showers, bon fires. A pretty good place in my opinion for a reasonable price

I stayed 2 days here. Overall It's good. It's situated in the city centre & easily can access all the tourist attractions.

A great place to stay when solo travelling in ooty! Viewpoint of the location is just amazing and it’s really calm! Staff is also very helpfull and outstanding was mister Akhil 🫶🏼

The place is beautiful and well maintained. However, on the day of checking out there was no running water early morning. That caused a bit of inconvenience. Otherwise, good option for a stay in Ooty.
