Ich habe den reine Damen Vierbett Zimmer und es war viel zu laut nachts. Neben der Unterkunft war jeden Abend bis spät nachts eine Party und man hat die Straße laut gehört. Der Empfang war eher sehr kurz und man hat viele Infos erst auf Nachfrage bekommen. Die Lage war auch nicht so gut
I have the queen Damen Vierbett Zimmer and it was much too loud at night. besides the accommodation there was a party every night until late at night and you could hear the street loudly. the reception was rather very short and you got a lot of information only on demand. the situation was not so good either
Comfortable beds, good communal space and good breakfast. However the 4 bed mixed dorm was located next to a busy road so the traffic was loud. Also it was very warm in the room, the window is small and with just 2 fans for 4 beds it was hard to catch a good sleep.
Okay place to stay if you are looking for close to kloof. The building is a bit confusing and could use more signage. In my experience, they stick to the official check in time. A bit of flexibility would have been appreciated as I knew the bed was flipped.
Not a very friendly place, smoking allowed right outside of rooms so not good for those who do not like smoke or have asthma. Doors are locked at night so egress is a possible safety risk as this info was not shared. Staff helpful when asked but do not initiate interaction or assistance.
Very clean and staff are friendly. I would say unless you are in a dorm then there is better value for money in Cape Town for private rooms etc. A couple of times it was quite noisy at night.
Établissement très joli, et bien situé. Le petit déjeuner était super bon. Par contre j’ai pris une chambre individuelle et c’est une « fenêtre » qui m’a servi de porte, le vent la faisait claquer la nuit donc difficile de dormir. Il y a simplement des rideaux pour avoir de l’intimité, mais si on n’est pas dans la chambre on ne peut pas tirer le rideau et et on voit tout à l’intérieur. This place doesn’t have the classic hostel vibe. It’s huge and dispersive. Tons of people coming and going. The staff isn’t the friendliest, and some seem to almost be annoyed when asking for help. The place is cleaned daily, which is nice. You get a buffet breakfast every morning which isn’t too bad. Location is really great, despite the road on both sides of the villa’s perimeter which can be noisy. Overall I’d recommend it for a short stay.

the location is nice, Capetown is easy to walk, otherwise you can always get a taxi. the personal is mostly friendly with some exceptions. if you travel alone it's a good option as you can meet many people there, although it would be nice if the hostel also coordinates more stuff/activities :)
Gostei do ambiente, do pessoal, do café da manhã, da limpeza, mas achei distante de um local pra comer, de um supermercado, pra quem está a pé. O que não gostei foi das indicações de Tours pois foi enrolada por dois. O da visita a vinícola me cobraram quase 2000 rands, quando eu poderia ter ido por menos de 700. O da visita ao Cabo da Boa Esperança paguei pra incluir todas as entradas e o guia me fez pagar a entrada para o teleférico. A indicação de vocês. O da visita às vinícolas...
I liked the atmosphere, the staff, the breakfast, the cleanliness, but I found it far from a place to eat, a supermarket, for those who are walking. What I didn't like was the directions to Tours because it was wrapped in two. Or the tour of the winery charged me almost 2000 rands, when I could have gone for less than 700. Or the visit to the Cape of Good Hope I paid to include all tickets and the guide made me pay for the cable car ticket. The indication of you. Or the tour of the wineries was ...

This hostel is 10/10, bunk bed rooms are lovely. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Every room has a seperate safe to store your valuables and towels are included. Free breakfast is ace! Feels like a home, lots of places to chill and hang out whether you want to do that with people or on your own. Will stay here again whenever I come back :))
It’s such a good place to spend in Cape Town for a long time and the vibe here is amazing!
Villa viva is a really nice place! Super clean and the garden & the pool makes it to a really relaxing place in the center. Unfortunately they do not host activities. So if you‘re solo travelling and want to meet people, you need to be active in the group chat.
Great breakfast and bar for a beer or coffee. For downsides, I was in a 4 person room with 4 beds (not bunks), so there was no privacy or separation from each other. Was a bit weird, bunks with a curtain would have been much better. There was a whatssap group but there weren’t activities organized by the hostel which I think is a shame as that’s such a good way to get everyone together. It was overall a positive experience though and would recommend!
Amazing hostel would definitely stay here again when I next visit - staff were very friendly - shoutout to Bianca she is so lovely and made you feel welcome! Look forward to coming back to stay here again :)
Super easy-going atmosphere. Lots of room changes, but continued seeing familiar faces, making it feel like a mini community. Location is really convenient/central for Ubers, plus super walkable to restaurants on Kloof St and supermarket like Woolworths. Large kitchen, with labeling. Excellent seating both indoors and outdoors, couches, long tables, small tables - everything. Had many mini workspaces too (all open though). The pool wasn't used much when I was there, but people sunbathed!
I can see why they have such a high rating, this is a wonderful hostel that pays so close attention to comfort, style, detail, and a great place to meet fellow travelers and mingle. Comfy beds with power plugs and spacious rooms, nice bathrooms, bar, kitchen, and large common space and a pool! Great location, cool staff and such a fun place to just hang out. Def my go to spot!
I don't normally write reviews. this is the exception. An amazing hostel. amazing staff, people, volunteers, bar, social vibe. dorms are comfortable. I loved it. do yourself a favour. book here!

Excellente situation dans la ville : restaurants proches et sécurisés. Petit déjeuner complet. Bon rapport qualité prix. Des améliorations à apporter au niveau de l accueil-réception. Pour le reste , personnel aimable et serviable. A recommander absolument.

Absolutely loved this hostel! Amazing price for what you get. The beds were comfortable and there was a great selection for breakfast. The bathrooms were super clean (I saw employees cleaning them every day) and spacious. Would definitely stay here again!!
