Worst hostel I've been to so far. Part of why I booked this hostel is because they offer bike parking on their listing (they still do!) But when I asked about it, I was told they don't do that. I asked about other places to store a bike and they seemed annoyed about it as if it was a rude question. Not enough characters to write it all but hostel was just quite disprganised, staff seem annoyed when you ask for anything (they didn't give me bedding and my card stopped working? Just not good!

No space at all in the room, pictures were extremely deceiving. No natural light, no door into each individual room only a mere curtain. Super disappointed.

common room was out of use when we visited, toilets and rooms were dirty. Lots of noise from the streets

Hotel staff was friendly, good location, great kitchen to cook meals and areas to hang out with friends. the GREATEST downsize is: the hostel has a bar, and the music is SO LOUD during friday and saturday it's impossible to sleep. they offer some ear plugs for free but they don't do much. also, before me and my group of friends arrived, we saw a message on the hostelworld group saying one guest had BED BUGS all over them in their room, we were really scared but then nothing happened to us

Strange hostel. It doubles as a café/bar which is open to locals and this is where 90% of the staff's attention is dedicated, the actual hostel element of the hostel almost seems like an afterthought. Situated on a very busy and loud street which makes it difficult to sleep, but having so much nightlife on your doorstep is convenient. However, this hostel is one of the least social I've ever stayed in, I don't think I even witnessed a conversation take place between guests in the common areas.

King Kong Hostel tries to emulate the tropical vibes the King Kong movie takes place in, meaning the hostel rooms are 32° at midnight without an a/c to be found. The staff and atmosphere was great, but with rooms you can only barely sleep in between 02.00 - 07.00, without any curtains in front of the windows to create a sense of privacy between you and the street packed with nightlife, the hostel fails in its core task of offering people a comfortable place to sleep.

Positive points: - cleanliness - friendly staff - storage room for luggage - nice atmosphere - coffee/tea included Bad points: - cold shower - no towel for the first night - really expensive for what we get (no breakfast, basic room with inconvenient storage space under the bed, ...) - toilet paper not always present - no Wifi in the dormitory - lighter not always present to use the stove (gas) - dorms really hot during summer period

It was really bad experience for me. Room was too hot and logically people opened windows. There were lots of mosquitos. But it wasnt the main Problem. There is a bar under rooms and there is live LOUD music until 4 pm, and people continue making noise until 4:30. I paid 30+ € to sleep there but i didnt have any change. Even personal was nice, place was cool, i will never come back again.

Very friendly younger gentleman helped me check in. I stayed in the deluxe female dorm and loved the wood structures! However the bed was two mattresses in one slot and it was a little uncomfortable. The coffee and bar is well equipped. I would stay here again!

Th hostel was properly furnished and nice. The bathroom was on suite but it wasn’t the cleanest. The area is loud but they offer free ear plugs for the noise. Definitely recommended.

Hostel in the heart of Rotterdam, near lots of bars. Some of the facilities weren’t great, some uncleanliness in the bathrooms, and the towels were 3.99 to rent.

Falling apart. Same room as a year ago but the bathroom applicances were all hanging loose off the wall, my plug didn't work and the staff had no solutions and just told us to use someone else's bed until they showed up. Communal areas were taken over for carnival use without any notice/apologies/signage. Zero forks in the kitchen. Oven falling apart. Staff weren't friendly and seemed suspicious of everyone. €4 for towel hire is very high.

Très bel hostel! J’ai apprécié la cuisine commune et les employés étaient sympathiques. Très sécuritaire puisqu’il faut scanner la carte magnétique pour accéder aux étages et à la chambre.

Nice hostel if you're into parties, but if you wanna sleep you may be disappointed. It's in a nice location within plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs, which is why it may get loud at night, especially on the weekends. Room was unbearably warm during the night and made it hard to sleep. But generally a decent hostel with a good kitchen and nice common area

23-25/4 2025: Bedbugs!!! The staff was friendly, and took good care of us and the problem with the bedbugs. The kitchen was very nice, it had everything that’s you would need.

got in really early and one of the workers let me in and i just sat in the common area and it was really nice and fun vibes. stored my bags and went explored. everything was pretty close to the hostel, being in the busy part of town but didnt feel loud. the kitchen was nice and clean. lots of stairs up to the rooms, and needed a key card to access, but the rooms are curtained off so anyone can go in your room/bed if they are on the same floor. the bathrooms were big, and clean. the staff was rea...

This is one of my favorite hostels I stayed in. We were in a private room and it was just like a hotel! Only downside was no elevator to bring suitcases upstairs.

Très joli hostel dans un quartier animé. Pour le ménage c'était moyennement satisfaisant, j'ai trouvé un vieux caleçon sous mon lit ainsi que des bouchons d'oreilles... Pour la sécurité je trouve qu'io aurait été rassurant de trouver des casiers mais ce n'était pas le cas.

everything was perfect

The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spotless and had everything you could need. The whole vibe was just great—really loved the experience!
