I didn’t like it. It was not welcoming, they did not have a bed for me when I arrived. They gave me another room that wasn’t that good either. The facilities weren’t clean and they did not wanted to give me full refund when i wanted to leave because of the disappointed service. Better go to ani & haakien, much nicer, staff is great, clean and awesome location
My bathing towel was thrown into waste basket by the housekeeping staff and my two textbooks were missing. They just assumed I checked out a day earlier, and cleaned my bed and threw all my things without my permission. I was lucky enough that some new person did not occupy my bed. And none of the hostel staff gave any apology and was very rude. Also, they don't have lockers for all beds, as mentioned in their facilities. There are few lockers, which you can avail in a first come basis.
The washroom should be looked into. It is crowded and should be cleaned daily with so many people using it everyday multiple times. Breakfast option is very limited and that is a big negative for the location of the hostel. There are no eating options nearby. Rooms rules should be strictly folowed. The visitors enter the room late in the night and make noices so as to disturb the otber residents.
This hostel is a good option. The staff was quite helpful. Luggage can be stored in provided lockers for very cheap (3 EUR / 24 hrs) before or after check out. Bathrooms are very clean, rooms are spacious.
Lack of common areas, as the kitchen is the only one and barely 4 square meters. The bar and that space close very early at night, so there’s no other place to hang out apart from the tiny kitchen. The staff seemed somewhat indifferent. Not much of a real hostel atmosphere.
I booked the hostel because I read online it was great for digital nomads. I was highly disappointed. The common area for work is the "cozy" room on the pictures. The room was very cold, musty and no plug was working. They served breakfast there and the coffee bar was very noisy, also people from outside were coming in. On top of all, there was a school class checking in and gathered in the room. Very bad experience, cant recommend.
Beds were comfortable, curtains added nice privacy. Staff were helpful and friendly. Hostel has more of a party vibe with a bar downstairs.
Das Haus ist schon recht alt und daher sehr hellhörig und kalt. Mit Ohropax wars in Ordnung aber grundsätzlich wars sehr laut, vielleicht lags auch an der Schulklasse oder unseren Nachbarn die zur selben Zeit da waren. Lage war in Ordnung. Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Unterkunft an sich war gut, wir haben jedoch im obersten Stock gewohnt und mussten erst mal vier Stockwerke zu Fuß nach oben gehen, da es kein Aufzug gibt. Außerdem waren sehr viele Familien zur gleichen Zeit wie wir im Hostel (zwischen Weihnachten und Silvester) wodurch die Atmosphäre oft sehr laut war, vor allem im Flur vor unserem Zimmer. Wir konnten also nie ein Mittagsschlaf machen. Das war an sich sonst gut bis sehr gut wen man sich das Personal angeguckt, sehr sehr nette Mitarbeiter.
The accommodation itself was good, however we lived in the upper floor and had to first walk up four floors, as there is no elevator. besides, there were very many families at the same time as we were in the hostel (between Christmas and New Year's Eve) so the atmosphere was often very loud, especially in the hall in front of our room. we also could not make a lunch. that was in itself otherwise good bis very good if you look at the staff, very very neat staff.
They are running out the shower gel... That's annoying... other than that, I think it's good.

Already written the full advice on Maps, but this hostel is very great for backpackers, you should try it! Employees are young and friendly, they have a bar, you can cook on your own... It's near a big park and Witte de Withstraat, so being far from the train station doesn't matter.
I really enjoyed my experience here. The staff was kind and friendly, my room was clean, cozy, and cute, the common room was a cool vibe, I enjoyed the location, and I found the breakfast a good deal. A lovely hostel experience.

Great stay! The location was perfect, making it easy to get around and explore Rotterdam. The room and facilities were very clean and exactly as described. The reception staff were also extremely friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

I truly enjoyed my stay at Hostel ROOM. The rooms and common spaces are very nice and cozy, the staff is super friendly and available, and the overall vibe is great and safe. Highly recommended for a solo traveller!
Great place stay!!! I would highly recommend this Hostel! Very clean and great beds with curtains. The staff was very friendly. I have make make a Reservation for a bed down by call. Naomi was very friendly and make a notice . The breakfast was good and cheap. I love this Area from the Hostel. Very close to the Erasmusbridge. I have watched the Sunrise in the Morning. Next year I would be there again for the A State of Trance . :)
Mate, what can I say? From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Alina, she was so friendly! Showed me around the hostel and made me feel right at home! I had a great time, the staff were amazing! Id like to thank everyone for making me feel welcome Francesca, Rosie, Thiago, Tobias, Catalin, Jeff, Jess and Jazz! Hope to see you all again one day!

Great place, just one thing, put some bumper on the door of the bathroom on the second floor, the make a huge « boom » when closing. Except this, all is super cool.
Had a lovely one night stay in this hostel. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to communicate with me, welcome me and generally be helpful. The hostel is very clean and well kept by a team of international staff and volunteers. The mixed dorm room I stayed in and bathroom was more of a hotel standard than hostel. The breakfast was also great and I was given extra before they stopped serving! In all I would certainly stay here again if I am ever in Rotterdam. Thank you!
Everyone who worked there was absolutely amazing and welcoming. Everyone who worked there was extremely friendly and helpful in seeing the beauty of Rotterdam and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they did. Anytime I walked in and out the hostel I felt welcome and safe which is beyond what you can ask for nowadays. Absolutely loved it and I hope to return soon!
The hostel has a very warm vibe. They welcome you and everything is well organized. I also want to emphasize the good location and, above all, the cleanliness of the areas and bathrooms. But what really elevated my experience was the wonderful staff, whom I now carry in my heart, starting with: Guys, you are the best; thank you for creating such a beautiful atmosphere. Wat een fijne sfeer. Wij sliepen in de clockroom. Heel bijzonder. Een pand vol historie.

Auberge ancienne, très sympathique, dans un cadre typique et très bien située. Attention, le petit déjeuner qui apparaît comme inclus ne l'ait finalement pas. Cependant, les gérants ont fait un geste commercial. Les employés sont très avenants et attentifs à leurs clients. Nous avons pu garer nos vélos en sécurité dans le bâtiment. C'est une auberge à recommander, sans aucune hésitation. Nous reviendrons sûrement !
Old hostel, very nice, in a typical setting and very well located. beware, the breakfast that appears to be included did not have it in the end. however, the managers made a commercial gesture. the employees are very attentive and attentive to their customers. we were able to park our bikes safely in the building. this is an hostel to recommend, without any hesitation. we will definitely come back !
I LOVED this place. The staff were so friendly immediately when I walked in and other hostel visitors immediately began chatting with me. There is not much privacy in the dorm style rooms, but it did not take away from my experience. Would book again.
