Sherpas Hostel High Tatras

J'ai été très surprise de voir la très mauvaise accessibilité de l'appartement. Le système pour rentrer est trop complexe/vieux, l'appartement se trouve au 5e étage sans ascenseur pas précisé). Étant avec une valise + plusieurs sacs cela était très compliqué de monter avec la lumières qui s'éteint toutes les 30 secondes dans les escaliers. De plus il n'y avait personne pour m'accueillir tout au long de mon séjour et donc personne pour nettoyer (les toilettes étaient sales).

Location of the hostel is perfect! 5 minutes walk from the electric railway station. The rest left a bit to be desired…it was dirty, the floors had hair and dirt in all the rooms. The whole hostel ran out of toilet paper and none had been brought in by the time I checked out. My first night I was the only guest and about 1030pm the front door started ringing from another person unable to get in but I didn’t feel safe letting someone in when I was staying there alone. They could use staff.

It is a great hostel with a nice view. The facilities are great, with comfortable beds and a clean kitchen. It was easy to get to and from the hostel wirh public transportation. The ovners of the hostel are very helpfull. We had som issues, and the came up fast with a great solution. We would really recomend this hostel if you to go for a long or short hike or just want to escape the city.

We had a great time at Sherpas, the hostel manager lisa was so helpful and accommodating, recommending hikes and things to do nearby. All the volunteers were great fun and made us feel at home. Would recommend to anyone who loves snow and the outdoors :)

Solid hostel! It's a big apartment converted into a hostel, which made it feel like coming home after a day of hiking. There were some nice volunteers around as well. Cleanliness could be a bit better. Location is fine, it's well connected to Bratislava and Kosice while also having food connections to the mountains. The town itself doesn't have a lot to offer though.

Amazing hostel! Such a cozy and friendly atmosphere, volunteers and everyone there super welcoming. Just had the best vibes. Beautiful hikes nearby and lovely scenery. Everything very clean, beds super comfy and private, and cooking facilities were great! Loved it!

Lugar incrível, ambiente confortável e muito limpo. As cortinas nas beliches são ótimas e dão muito mais privacidade. Avista da varanda era de tirar o fôlego! Super recomendo.

Excellent location - make sure you download an offline map in advance as for some reason I had no reception on my mobile at all for the first day and I had to ask for directions which were tricky to follow in the snow when I couldn’t see the footpaths, it’s just a 20 minute walk normally but longer in snow and ice. The hostel is high up so you have the most amazing views. I was there on my own and it’s self checkin so be aware of that ! I loved it for that reason & the snow made it beauti...

the most unreal sunsets, mountainous views, and stargazing right from the hostels balcony. Exceptionally clean, friendly and helpful volunteers, and kind and present hostel owners. The hostel is cozy with about 15 beds and 2 bathrooms. laundry on sight for 3.50 euros each for washing and drying. Full kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, oven) with ample food storage. Stocked "mini bar" with beer, snacks, etc to buy on sight. The town the hostel is in has a grocery store, restaurant/bar, park in wa...

We had a great stay at the hostel, good common area with a well equipped kitchen! The train station is close by so you can go hiking very easily. We also enjoyed that the beds have curtains and every bed has a socket. Can recommend this hostel very much, friendly staff, good location, had an amazing time!!
