Hostel pod Voglom

Struttura vecchia e fatiscente. Bagno orribile. In camera cattivo odore permanente (come di cane bagnato!), igiene non sufficiente. Nel sito c’era scritto che gli asciugamani erano compresi invece c’era solo un piccolo asciugamano a testa. Colazione triste. Non fatevi ingannare dalle foto oresenyi sul sito soprattutto delle camere!!! Mai soggiornato in un posto simile. Da evitare.

Not great. Location on lake bohinj with facilities for water rentals etc is great, on the main road to Vogel ski centre, but a little far for bars and restaurants in the main village. The property wasn’t very clean, toilet area with filthy floor, shower not attached to wall so difficult to shower. do not book this, especially if you are a solo traveller. i found the staff rude and the rooms are tiny and falling apart. its just not worth the money. the location is good though

Incredible location and really helpful reception staff. It felt more like school trip accommodation rather than a hostel. The rooms are incredibly basic with mould on the walls and the bedding is really bad quality. The showers also weren’t the cleanest. I think it’s more than fine for a couple of nights of v basic accommodation but would be great if all the rooms got a fresh lick of paint and they updated the pillows. One bathroom / shower on a floor with about 30+ rooms with up to 4 people in each room. We asked to move to a private room. This was in the ground floor right next to the stairs. We could hear every single noise from everyone coming into the building. The shower head wasn’t attached to the wall and the shower curtain was too small so flooded the bathroom. The only saving grace for us was the open mic night on Friday. Signers were great and atmosphere was lovely. Breakfast=slice of bread. 1/10

We had a fantastic time at this hostel. The location isn't in any way central, but there is a bus right in front of the hostel. And it is right next to the lake. Amazing. People working there are super nice and helpful. The vibe is right - the rooms aren't typical empty cells, they have wooden floors and decorations. The only suggestion I have is: please make it more vegetarian friendly. Especially the dinner, sometimes there was no protein at all. Lentils and beans aren't that expen...

The view is beautiful, the included breakfast is okay. Unfortunately all activities are overpriced & much of the hostel needs revision. WC; 1 floor with 16 rooms, 2-8 beds per room and 1 bathroom for men 1 for women. The initial door does not lock, shower head is not mounted you, and it does not drain well so standing in 4 inches of dirty water. Lastly, the hostel often hosts schools of kids. 60+ students arrived after us, cleared the dinner we had paid for none was left & all activities booked

I liked the position close to the lake and the breakfast! Dislike: narrow room for 4 people; 1 toilette and 1 shower for each sex , for floor (16 rooms on our floor).. it means dirty and always busy . NO KITCHEN IN HIGH SEASON. Further to the Gorgeries shops and city center but there is a bus stop in front of the hostel (1 bus every 45/1h ) . Max for 2 night!

The hostel has a beautiful location and is just across the street from the lake which is amazing. Of course it's to be expected that in a tourist area in the high season that usually functions as a skiing place, prices will be higher. However for the amount of money you really get the bare bones of a hostel. Both showers were broken, the communal space feels like an afterthought and there are no lockers in the room. Still I would come back! If only for the location and helpful staff

Great traditional style mountain youth hostel. Floorboards a bit creaky, could do with another shower and toilet per floor, but that's all part of being in an older building. Warm showers, basic breakfast included, very helpful staff, pretty clean, pretty good location. Dinner is a bit expensive, but it was always pretty good and includes buffet and 3 courses (soup/salad + main + desert). Could get quite busy in peak season, but felt very comfortable in mid-May.

A new entry to my top 5 hostels in the World. It has all I look for in a Hostel. I had a deep sleep. The breakfast was great, except IMO the Coffee was TERRIBLE. I still hope to come again (with my own coffee though, but the rest was perfect).

the hostel is well located, right beside the lake and walking distance from coffees and restaurants. it offers free breakfast, the staff is super friendly and the place is clean. There are nice spots to chill outside too.

I loved it here, it’s in a great location right on the lake! The staff are super nice and the free breakfast is great! There is also a small kitchen which is really handy, would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The hostel is right on the lake, and right beside the bus stop. The free breakfast was lovely and the views from the meals/common area were amazing. Everything was clean, I just wish there were more facilities like a kitchen. Not a super social hostel, but it was nice to relax!

Volgom has an awesome log cabin kind of feel. Staff were so helpful and patient with us clueless tourists 😁.

The facilities here aren't the best, but you're coming to Bohinj for the views and scenery. This hostel is in as good of a location as you can get, and there is plenty to do. The only thing that I felt was missing was not being able to lock stuff in my room as the storage isn't setup for any locks.

Génial, juste ce serait bien s'il y avait davantage de douches et une cuisine.

A hidden gem!

I absolutely loved the stay at Hostel Pod Voglom! The staffs were so nice and helpful and gave us loads of information on where we could go visit. The free breakfast was decent as well. Overall, great service and atmosphere for the price. If you’re planning on going to Lake Bohinj and trying to save money but still enjoy the nature, I would highly recommend.

I LOVED!!!! The staff were so incredibly kind and accommodating and the location is unbeatable with great access to hiking biking etc. I felt like I was at camp in the best way possible- such a charming accommodation. Good breakfast and dinner too. I can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic place to stay in the middle of one of the most beautiful lakes. Really helpful staff and the friendliest cat! I will definitely be coming back.

Nice hostel with good atmosphere. Great big old style youth hostel dining room with view of the lake. Breakfast included. Could be more vegetarian stuff, that isn't sweet. No kitchen. I had a room with a shared bathroom, this worked perfectly for me. Best thing is the lake, so maybe ask for lakeside room. I was there in October, misty, and atmospheric.

Pros - great breakfast, which starts at 7 - right on the lake - staff could give advice about walks, and provided me a paper map to borrow - small number of beds in rooms - sink in the room - drying racks in the hallway Cons - bit of a walk to get to the town/any food - I was there kind of in the off season but it wasn’t social at all and had some big school groups - not many showers
