AdHoc Hostel

Decent hostel. Nice and helpful staff. Spacious room and a big locker that works with your access card. The small communal space wasn't very cosy/fun. Overall, it just doesn't justify charging €50 a night. Way to expensive for a hostel in Slovenia.

Bad experience. After a five-hour bus ride, tired and hungry, when I arrived at the Hostel they didn't have the two beds I booked. They reserved the beds when the Hostel was full. I lost practically a day of the trip looking for another place to stay, in addition to all the stress. I do not recommend.

Unclean and bed bugs: Stayed 2 days and discovered bed bugs the morning I was to check out, was informed by a girl in my room (not staff) the room had been exterminated the day I arrived so clearly had not done a thorough job and had not disclosed this to me. Upon telling staff I was given no apology and a cold reception, when I told the manager I was dissatisfied with the response (as I had to pay for all my things to be cleaned and was not given the decency of some empathy) I was yelled at by ...

Good location, but first time I experienced bed bugs, everyone in dorm did not sleep and experienced several bedbugs on the wall. Bathroom next to entrance stairs with huge windows. Management handled bedbugs situation terribly. We provided photos and more. First time I’ve written a bad review and sadly won’t recommend this place to others.

Hated Ad Hoc. No kitchen. A microwave and a waffle iron. Common area around “kitchen” had no bathroom or sink. Nor did the first floor lobby. I had to walk 76 stairs up and back to pee. Due to construction, not advised. Do not go here without confirming their construction is complete. Hated it.

Staff member came into our room in the middle of the night, and scared me and my friends. Didnt feel safe for the rest of my stay

When we went to check in we were told our room wasn’t ready because it was being sprayed for bed bugs, obviously not ideal but at least they were taking precautions. Then we were told less than five minutes after it had been sprayed that it was safe to go in, when we questioned it (cause you’re meant to wait 4-6 hours usually) we were told by a very evasive receptionist that we knew nothing and Slovenian bed bugs were different. Bed bugs everywhere in our 6 man dorm and had to leave the hostel in the night due to the amount of them. Hostel knows of bed bugs but room is still full of them. Location is nice with lots of restaurants around. Nearest place to wash clothes is a 30 minute walk away.

Absolutely zero vibe

No kitchen (just a microwave), cold atmosphere, my bed was made while I was staying 2 more days and the few stuff I let next to my bed just disappeared (ear plugs, sleep mask) and I pretty sure my roommates didn't take it. I didn't feel well in this place. The only asset is the location.

Great location on the river and v central. Nice lounge with big windows onto the river walkway. Simple kitchenette. Large lockers in rooms activated by your room key. Very friendly and helpful staff who helped me with planning my time in Ljubljana and they have maps and information. Clean & relatively quiet hostel. I'd highly recommend the public bike hire scheme. You can join for one euro for a week and all bike rides are free (upto an hour). Great way to explore a bit further. Thanks for tip!

The hostel itself is just "ok": spacious rooms, great lockers, clean. But: no hostel vibes, no real common area except an empty hall with six chairs. The "kitchen" is a kettle and microwave, at least with bowls & cuttlery. The place used to be an appartment building and was converted by a greedy landlord to short term rentals (hostel and appartments), and it shows. David in the afternoon and his morning shift "always enthusiastic and happy"-colleague are what makes the hostel deserve some stars!

A most fantastic hostel without a doubt. Ideally located on the banks of River Ljubljanica, close to 'The Three Bridges' and Prešeren Square. The Old Town / City is vibrant and caters for all tastes, young and older. The AdHoc Hostel is wonderfully in the heart of this beating and very friendly City...a special place to visit and return, over and over. AdHoc Hostel is extremely clean and super-just right. A big thank you to Ben on Reception, very nice chap and so-so helpful. I will return....

Great hostel, the staff were absolutely amazing, there were three different people in the reception during our stay, and all of them were so helpful and nice! Have never experienced such service anywhere else before. Really nice that you can use the room key to lock the lockers and that you get a free towel and free luggage storage if needed. Only thing i didnt prefer, there are no curtains on the beds:/ but everything else was amazing

Hostel is in a great location and the facilities were really good. Not a very social place though.

Just fine if u neeed to rest. People in the hostel were very loud. Wish they had gendered restrooms doors were very very noisey.

A great place to stay! Centrally located, staff was so nice and let me check in early with no extra fee, great activity recommendations and all the people were really friendly. The perfect place to stay in Ljubljana!!

Good location in Ljubljana center!The bathrooms and showers were clean,it was overall quite nice and safe!You can use the card room for the locker.Only downside for me was that there was no common area where people chill,so if you’re travelling solo maybe its kinda soulless.+the staff was super nice and polite!

The reception staff were wonderful and the rooms were spacious. I tried a couple of different showers and they all had fairly severe issues with drainage and started to flood almost immediately. Everything was good aside from this.

Super bien ubicado! Lo recomiendo mucho. El personal es lo más amable que hay en comparación a como te tratan los eslovenos en restaurantes o ticketeras…

The property itself is great, perfect location, clean facilities and comfortable and spacious bedrooms. It’s just a little hard to socialize because there’s no real common area.

The friendliest staff that I have ever seen in a hostel. The man that checked me in, just made my day with his big smile. But not only him, all the people were like this. Perfectly clean everywhere. Nice bathrooms. Big rooms with not so many beds. Each bed has a lamp for reading a book. The lockers are huge with a vertical space to put your shirt on a hanger. There is a common space where you can eat or socialize. They even gave me a towel for free. One of the best hostels I have visited.

Buen hostel. Excelente ubicación y limpieza perfecta. Las duchas son un poco chicas y sin lugar para apoyar mas coaas. El resto bien. Recomendable.
