Hostal Puerto Alegre Copacabana

The guy at the reception tried to use an outrageous rate from us dollars to bolivianos. We asked him to show us even one other site that gave that rate, obviously he didn’t. We ended up paying in US dollars to not get scammed.

It was alright for one night, but the showers was cold, the room as well.

The staff were friendly despite my very basic grasp of Spanish, particularly the lady who always met me with a smile. Location was reasonable, the room was clean but tired. The low water pressure and temperature meant I couldn't wash my hair, and was cold getting out of the shower. Lacking in communal space, if that's what you are looking for. Also not sure there was a kitchen available.

Decent location (6 min walk to center), lovely older couple running things and a full yum breakfast! They’re there to help book things and exchange money for you. Having a private room is amazing and the rooftop has a stunning view of the lake and town. It’s not a very social hostel for this reason though.

Hostal un peu éloigné des endroits touristiques, un peu plus calme. Chambre double avec une bonne literie avec salle de bain et douche chaude. Petit déjeuner de qualité , terrasse pour se prélasser. Attention le propriétaire privilégie le paiement en dollars et on a du négocier pour payer en soles. En dehors de ça la famille est adorable !

Sehr nette Gastgeber, die ein wirklich süßes Frühstück vorbereiten. Für den Preis wirklich super nett alles.

The people who run this hostel were so welcoming and helpful! They made our stay for us, were super attentive and let us leave our luggage for a night on Isla del Sol.

One of the only hostel in Copacabana. Great location, rooms and very nice staff.

Had a lovely 2 night stay (extended a night) in a private room. Hosts are very helpful. Kitchen/Fridge availability was also handy. Great views from my room and the breakfast was on point. Thanks!

very lovely hostel - nice rooms, hot showers, good breakfast, wifi works well, nice view on the balcony of the lake, and very friendly and helpful lady who works there. would recommend!!!!

i had a very nice stay here! The owner was very kind and she was able to help me book and give advice about just about everything there is to do in Copacabana. Very quiet and chill hotel!

We LOVED our stay at this hostel - everything about it was wonderful! We were upgraded to a private room at no extra cost, and we had a magnificent view over Copacabana and out to Lake Titikaka. The room was great; comfy beds, a private bathroom with hot showers! The free breakfast in the morning is fantastic with bread and jam, a fried egg, a bowl of yoghurt and fruit, and a hot drink. The kitchen is small but workable (although no fridge). Overall, we highly, highly recommend staying!
