L’emplacement de l’hostel est idéal, son prix attractif et les lits sont agréables. Mais accueil peu chaleureux du staff qui est incapable de nous dire le prix d’une nuit, et qu’on a du mal à voir dans la journée. Il faut attendre le soir et sa chicha quotidienne pour espérer le croiser. Le ménage n’est pas fait, le lit de la personne partie 2 jours avant nous, n’a pas été défait, les poubelles de toilettes sont pleines et des déchets traînent. Un peu l’impression que c�...
The location of the hostel is ideal, its price is attractive and the beds are nice. but the unwarm welcome of the staff who are unable to tell us the price of a night, and who we can hardly see in the day. we have to wait until evening and his daily chicha to hope for the cruiser. the cleaning is not done, the bed of the person who left 2 days before us, has not been unmade, the toilet bins are full and garbage is dragging. a little the impression that it is abandoned.
The hostel offers activities every day, which we really enjoyed. It was also easy to connect with others. Unfortunately, we experienced an uncomfortable situation in the dorm at night due to a visitor who was not staying at the hostel but was sneaked into the room. So FYI, there is no one at the reception during the night.
Nice place to stay during your trip. The hostel organizes activities. The community feeling wasn't that great tho.
Overall a good hostel. It is very small with just 2 dorms and they are cramped and not much space to put your stuff. A/C was always on which is good and the vibes in the evening were great. I stayed at a few hostels whilst in Arugam and I’d rate this in the middle :)
+ close to the beach + AC - no windows in the dorm, dark all the time -dorm is super small - you can close the doors of the dorm only with a key. Every time you go out you have to use a key at the inside and outside of the dorm. This is annoying, loud and you risk to lock so. out accidentally. There must be an easier way! - chill area is just in front of the dorm, so you can hear everything when there is someone -you have to leave the room for toilet and showers I don’t recommend this place
Lovely little hostel but with some drawbacks. Pros: very comfy and well-equipped bed bunks, lovely staff, basic kitchen can be used, very clean. Cons: small hangout area which was cramped at times, garden in the back spacious but under construction and not really inviting, upper beds have no curtains.
This hostel isn’t good value for money. The dorm was extremely cramped and the power went off multiple times so there was no AC. Also it’s next to a mosque so if you are a light sleeper you will wake up because of that. Also there was only a very small hangout area. It was very social and friendly but the facilities just weren’t up to standard for the price

I think it could be a nice hostel when it is season time.

Great hostel with a good location! The rooms were clean and the atmosphere felt very welcoming and familiar. I especially enjoyed the shared activities like family dinners, movie nights and parties - perfect for meeting new people! :)

Happy Hammocks was amazing! The hostel was clean and comfortable. The social scene they curate is amazing. It’s perfect for making friends and having a great time. The staff is wonderful and accommodating.
Really nice staff, super good vibes. Bed was comfy, just there are only 2 showers and 3 toilets.
Would definitely recommend this hostel. The dorms are a bit small and dark but the common area is pretty and perfect to chill. If you want to socialise, this is the place to go

Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt in dem Hostel und haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen! Das Personal vorallem Tara ist sehr freundlich und hilft bei allen Fragen weiter. Das Hostel ist sehr familiär und sehr sozial Also eine große Empfehlung !
We had a great stay in the hostel and really enjoyed our time there! the staff especially Tara is very friendly and helps with all questions further. the hostel is very familiar and very social Also a great recommendation !

Really great hostel with a super welcoming vibe. Big thanks to Tara, the manager, Stella, the social rep, and the lovely owner, who all made the stay so easy and fun. The beds were super comfy with privacy curtains, and the hostel was always very clean. There were lots of social events going on and a really homely vibe throughout. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The hostel was really nice, clean and super social. Best and most handsome hosts in sri lanka. The stay was great and also good party in the off seasion.
Although season was already ending, they made our stay so nice and enjoyable. Everyday you were able to join activities (sunset,family dinner, ice bathing, partying), so it was always easy to meet people. The outside area was also really nice! Thanks for the stay!
Amazing hostel! The vibe is super chill and welcoming, and the owner is great! Even though it was the off-season, he made my stay really enjoyable and made me feel very welcome.
