Hanoi Central Pod

The Hostel was okay for the price but the mattresses were really hard and you couldn’t change the temperature of the air con so it was way too cold during the night. Also you don’t get a towel, the staff was really unfriendly and the blankets of the bed were not washed. You couldn’t lock the door of the shared rooms and the showers sometimes had no water or were cold. The common areas smelled like smoke and the atmosphere in general wasn’t nice. Wouldn’t recommend this place!!

I was put on the 2nd floor, right next to stairs. the elevator pings very loudly everytime doors open, so at night time this made sleeping very difficult even with earphones in! the stair case was right there and the sound really travels in this hostel. avoid the second floor

The hostel is clean and has big lockers with locks, which is good. But the room doors don’t lock, so anyone can come in. The atmosphere is quite flat — not really social, and most of the staff seemed a bit cold. Check-in info wasn’t explained properly either, like the hot water has an extra setting that no one mentioned. Other than the bed, there’s really nothing provided. It feels more like a cheap hotel with shared dorms than a real hostel. Even the drinks they sell are way more expens...

Good location, very walkable to most places. The hostel did not have much of a social vibe to it, but it was very cozy and calm. The rooms and toilets were clean. There's laundry services available, you could book tours and transfers with them too. But if you're looking to meet a lot of people and have a social time, this place might not be it.

It's a normal, yet non-social hostel. There were not so many people, yet they put everyone in one or two rooms. It would have been better to distribute the guests, but I think they wanted to save electricity costs for the AC. The AC, btw, can't be regulated and even upon request (twice) it stayed at 25°C, which was too hot. The breakfast was great, but there's no free drinking water. There was also a huge cockroach in the room, but I guess that's normal in Hanoi. I changed after 2 nights.

Decent and clean, it can be quite noisy though, especially since the bathroom was right next to the room. Also, if you're in the top bunk bed, when the one under you moves, the whole bed shakes. Didn't bother me personally, but the beds are hard as usual in Vietnam. Otherwise, good location, nice free breakfast and value for money.

Really nice hostel in the middle of the old quarter. Jackson, the manager has been so helpful to book tours in the north of Vietnam.

Great place to stay! Great location! Friendly staff. Very clean. Very comfortable. Lots of storage space. Cute location. Right next to shops, mart, atm, and touristy area. Great breakfast! Nice rooftop.

This place had all that we looked for in a hostel: great price (10 USD for a 6-bed dorm that otherwise would cost more in another hostel), spacious rooms where we could unpack our bags, clean bathrooms, buffet breakfast, and close proximity to local restaurants and shops. Rem was also very helpful with check in/out. Highly recommend this place!

The bathroom wasn’t very clean. There was hair in the sink and water all over it. I thought there might be bed bugs, though I’m not sure what it was, but there were bugs on the wall and the walls looked dirty. I couldn’t sleep very well because it felt like something was crawling on me. It was okay for one night. The room had good space, with large lockers for luggage and shelves by the bed to put your things.

Good place to stay. Good base for getting round Hanoi. The breakfast was good and rooftop bar was nice. Not loads going on but pretty chilled. Bathrooms were good

Good hostel, lovely reception staff and very friendly. Mattresses are thin but still slept well, beds have curtains and massive lockers. Overall definitely recommend.

Hostel is clean and tidy and located in a great spot for exploring the Old Quarter.

It was a nice hostel. The beds are really uncomfortable. It‘s hard like a rock! My back was really hurting after 3 nights. Also the curtains don‘t close all the way. The rooftop was cute. The location was ok, it‘s just a bit hidden in alleys, so a bit scary to go to the hostel at night. Staff was nice.

definitiv kein soziales hostel. aber um drin zu schlafen ist es okay, die lage ist perfekt, das personal sehr hilfsbereit und die zimmer groß. das ist sehr angenehm. Früstück ist auch lecker. jedoch sund die betten nucht für geoße menschen, da sie nur 1,9m lang sind
