Collection O Le Grand Hanoi hotel – The Tryst

+ The hotel overall was great and comfortable. Note that the cheapest rooms do not have a window and it’s not very easy to tell from the pictures.

- The multiple jack hammers that woke me up at 7:30 and kept going all morning even though I wanted to sleep in definitely ruined the entire stay :( And it wasn’t just that the noise was annoying, the floor was vibrating and the noise was so loud I left the room because it was hurting my ears. At least a little heads up would have been nice

+ Zentrale Lage. Frühstück in Ordnung, nicht überragend.

- Ich habe ein Zimmer gebucht. Bekommen habe ich eines ohne Fenster. Es gab bei der Buchung keinen Hinweis, dass es sich um ein fensterloses Zimmer handelt.

+ the room decor, the bed it was like sleeping on a cloud and the pillow were super comfortable. The reception staff was very nice.

- It was the noisiest hotel ever. It was very good insulated from the outside but unfortunately the cleaning staff kept screaming on their walkie talkie or just to each other all day long. They start screaming and cleaning the room next to us at 6am. Unfortunately the people that were staying there woke us up at 3.30 with loud music and chatting from one room to the other. We cannot do anything about neighbours from hell but at least the staff of the hotel should behave in a manner that doesn't disturb the guests.

+ The location is great and the personnel is very nice. The room was spacious and the breakfast offered of very large choice.

- It wasn’t as clean as I would have expected from this type of hotels. There was dust and hair in the room, and a lot of mold in the bathroom… not pleasant at all.

- Shower tub combination let's water get everywhere. Construction at or near hotel during the day was too loud and hotel didn't notify of this until after check-in.

+ La sympathie du personnel d’accueil. Le petit déjeuner avec plusieurs choix.

- Nous avons réservé une chambre avec fenêtre (comme précisé sur booking) et avons eu une chambre avec fenêtre mais avec un vis-à-vis d’1 mètre avec le bâtiment d’à côté, on pouvait voir ce qui se passait dans leur chambre et cuisine. La chambre manque de luminosité. Nous demandions à ce que la chambre soit faite le matin, mais, seules les serviettes étaient pliées. Le lit n’est pas fait, la salle de bain n’est pas du tout nettoyée. Après le ménage, la porte de la chambre est restée ouverte toute une journée… Pour finir, le téléphone de la chambre a sonné à 9h pour nous demander si on allait au petit-déjeuner… heureusement nous étions réveillés depuis 5minutes.

+ La qualité de la chambre Premium

- Bruit des travaux de l’immeuble voisin après minuit et très tôt la matin 6:00. Sommeil léger, s’abstenir. De plus, les personnels de chambre parlent fort et à distance entre les chambres à 7:00 du matin. De plus, les haut-parleurs des talkie walkies sont mis au niveau maximal. Quelque soit le nombre d’étoiles de l’hotel, la discrétion doit être la règle. L’hotel vous offre des boules Quies. Journée gâchée. Nota: pour le petit déjeuner, le personnel de cuisine parle aussi à distance. On entend toutes les conversations dans le restaurant.

+ Ein sehr schönes Hotel an Rande der Altstadt. Die Zimmer waren recht geräumig und die Betten sehr angenehm. Trotz der Lage am Rande des Getümmels (Altstadt) war im Zimmer nicht viel vom Straßenlärm zu hören, da das Fenster schallisoliert war. Alle Bereiche des Hotels sind sauber und gepflegt. Das Hotel wirkt nobel und dennoch modern. Das Frühstück war umfangreich und vielseitig. Aus meiner Sicht ein klarer Geheimtipp für Reisende mit kleinerem Budget, die es auch mal etwas vornehmer haben möchten.

- Der junge Mann an der Rezeption machte gelegentlich den Eindruck, nicht ganz bei der Sache (oder dem Gast als Gesprächspartner) zu sein. Missverständnisse sind dadurch vorprogrammiert. Das ist schade, weil das Personal durchweg sehr freundlich und kompetent auftrat.

- Very noisy in morning with construction next door, but I’m saying that for our one night stay it was fine.

+ local 4 stars hotel that exceeded my expectation. Breakfast is supper delicious. Special impression is that hotel is decorated by fresh flower and smells so nice. Highly recommended!
