Dirty. Bad vibes. Go elsewhere.
Every single wall is dirty. Tons of mold everywhere. Everyone (including myself) got sick while there.Bed bugs. Saw roaches. Staff is cool and do what they can. Owner doesn’t care about the place. Facilities are mediocre at best. Bad area of Osaka that even the locals avoid. Near a homeless camp, saw homeless not far off from the hostel. People pissing in the street all the time. Very dirty area. Been to Osaka three times now and this was the worst accommodation and area. Pay a bit more to avo...
It was gross. Beds were really thin, rooms walls were stained, not hygenic, couldn’t stay there couldn’t get refund.
weird and gross!
Not the best not the worst, nice staff and a good location for getting back to if out late. The place is very dated though and felt a bit dingy because of it, small social area and not much of an atmosphere. Seemed more to be people using it for a cheap private room, or long term guests rather than typical backpackers. For the price I’d recommend looking at other hostels in the city as i do think you can get better facilities and atmosphere elsewhere.
Distinct smells upon entry. It rained a lot and the whole place smelt… damp. Got a private room and the vibes were eerie. I stayed in other places in Japan that were far superior for the same price. Duvet had a stain on it, generally a bit dusty too. Walls had dirt marks. Area wasn’t great but very close to the train station. Quite a bit of mould in laundry and showers. Kitchen was fine but couldn’t get hot water in the sink, definitely needed a vacuum and the couch was pretty gross.
Individual rooms, nice staff and a common room are the only pros of this place. Room smelled bad, pillows and bedding smelled bad, bathrooms smell bad, showers smelled like mold, common room was pretty gross. Felt gross being anywhere in this place and it wasn't much cheaper than other hostels in the area that were far cleaner. Additionally, they changed the entrance door code one day after I arrived and didn't warn me of this so I was locked out for most of one night. Avoid.
The staff were very friendly. However, it was so dirty I would not recommend to anyone that they come here. We got a twin room and there were stains on the wall, dust everywhere and our bedsheets did not look clean. The women's shower had mold. They need to hire people to clean that place.
I really hate to leave a bad review, but felt that I needed to share, because I was truly uncomfortable while staying here. We stayed in a private room and the room had the most repulsive smell, I can’t describe what it was, but it never went away over the 4 nights we stayed there. The common areas are very dated and very dirty from too many years of use. We were barely able to sleep during our 4 nights here because of other people playing loud music or talking loudly until 5am. The staff were...
Bon emplacement, pas très loin de resto et bars et sur la ligne de métro. Pas très safe, et 3 douches femmes pour 3 étages de chambres
Not very safe, and 3 ladies showers for 3 floors of bedrooms

I stayed there for 6 days and everything was perfect! The room, bathroom and showers were clean. The kitchen was super useful, even just to clean your water bottle, and in the entrance there was a vital water dispenser. They even have a laundry room that washes and dries clothes in a hour for 200 yen.
We had a good time at Toyo! After checking in we realized our room hadn't been cleaned properly, or at least, the sheets weren't. A quick walk towards the reception and the staff quickly put us in a different room that was nice and clean. Otherwise the location is nice, close to the subway and the staff helpful with any question we might have had. The building itself is somewhat old, but if you don't mind that kind of charm, a fine place for the value in Osaka!
superbe auberge avec un très bon rapport qualité prix. et le personnel est très sympa et disponible. à recommander
Superb hostel with a very good value for money. and the staff is very friendly and helpful. to recommend
Location 10/10. Dautenbasi-mae station is 3 minutes away, shin-imamaya station is 5 min and tennoji station is 10-15 minutes away. Cozy environment. The staffs know English. Good toilets and bathrooms. I have no complain at this price range.
really fun with new and long term stay. the photos dont do the rooms justice. you have natural light. blackout curtains. a mini fridge. wardrobe. storage and a tv all to yourselves. cheap laundry. great location to shinsekai and namba
Perfect hostel. So affordable, a nice private room with plenty of space, a really good common area and dedicated staff. Excellent stay 😊
Very good hostel with private rooms!
Great location, private room, super kind, helpful and friendly staff!!
Very good for the price, especially for private rooms. Staff were also very welcoming.
Si prefieres un espacio individual en vez de una litera, está es la opción correcta
If you prefer a single space instead of a bunk bed, this is the right choice
Dirty. Bad vibes. Go elsewhere.
Great and affordable place very well connected and located, with a chill alternative vibe and everything that you could need for the trip!
I was very disappointed with the attitude of the staff during my stay. Their approach was extremely rude and quite shocking. I had intended to extend my stay and even attempted to make the payment the night before, but I was unable to do so due to a change of staff. The next morning, I came downstairs shortly after 11:00 a.m. to settle the payment. However, while I was still in bed, staff members began banging on my door and threatening to remove me from the room. This situation was very frus
Great place to stay, only issues were. 1) people couldn’t use the security handle in the dorm and would wake everyone up trying to put in the code/the wrong code had been given out 2)my bed, although it was the only one with this issue, squeaked at every minute moment, quiet annoying for everyone. Apart from that, lovely hostel, great staff, great bar and lounge, I would 100% stay there again when back in Tokyo if it’s available!
Awesome hostel. Interesting location.
Excelente hostal para mi estadía en Osaka no puede haber escogido un mejor lugar, sin duda regresaría el plus que las habitaciones son solas
Excellent hostel for my stay in Osaka couldn't have chosen a better place, I would definitely return the more that the rooms are lonely
God value for money. The toilets very really clean. The facilities are also clean, but it's a runned down place. Anyway, you get a single room for a price you don't get a dorm elsewhere. Staff is really friendly.
It's very nice to have your own room! Like a mix between a motel room/traditional Japanese style. Honestly, I really liked it. Just having your own space is lovely and there's a decent common area to chat in downstairs. What I didn't like was how cold it was, mainly in the room but all over actually. There was also a weird and incessant banging, continued from about 7am-820am. Like a hammer in the distance... weird. Overall good!
An excellent place to get a good night's sleep if you want a cheap private room. Very close to subway 1 minute walk and about 6 or 7 minutes walk to the airport line. The Ebisucho Station near the tower is only a 10 minute walk where there is a bit more activity regarding bars, food and nightlife. Bring earplugs though because even with a private room, sounds from outside still carry easily.
Great hostel. Super affordable, nice private room, amazing staff, location is very central. I will definitely come back 🤗
