The hostal is hella small, basically no common areas to read, relax, exercise, etc. The receptionist was kind of rude, he kept saying to read the policies but if something was out hand from their side he would say “idk call the owner” kind of rude but I noticed they’re all friends and that’s why they give you attitude, they also sprayed some stuff on the beds that made the air very hard to breathe, ahh and be careful this hostel has hidden taxes that’s why it shows cheaper in compare w...

There is no common area besides a kitchen table and a TV in the corner with very limited seating. Hostels are typically designed for solo travelers who want to socialize, meet others, and spend time together, but at this hostel the options are quite limited. There is no activity schedule or organized events. I was not given a receipt for my payment upon arrival, and some staff interactions felt dismissive. However, the location is excellent.

Bed bugs and blood on sheets. No activities in the hostel.

The hostal is close to the beach and close to lot of places in downtown, nevertheless, the place is very small, and rooms required more ventilation as they keep bad smells.

I stayed at this hostal 7 nights (February 2-8). On February 7th and 8th, the hostal did not have hot water. After hot and sweaty days of beach activities/hiking, there was no hot water to wash the dirt, sweat, and sunscreen off my body. I did not shampoo my hair for 2 days.

Location and cleanness are excellent,but the room was unbearably cold at night as they turned on the air conditioner. They finally helped me out to turn it down and gave me a blanket so I survived the rest of my stay,thank God!

If you enjoy being in the middle of a busy party area then it’s a great hostel for you. The street it’s on is loud until about 2am so if you are a light sleeper I wouldn’t recommend this hostel, lol. Price was right tho so I can’t complain too much. Staff were nice.

The location is the best! Staff are very accommodating, and helpful. My only real gripe is that the bin by the toilet wasn't emptied regularly, and the fridge was a disaster. The hostel is on the smaller size, so there is not a lot of room for socializing, or even just a quiet spot to take a meeting or call. Having filtered water on tap was a huge bonus. There doors to the dorm rooms are not locked, which isnt a deal breaker, but it would add to a feeling of security.

proche de la Playa de Los Muertoset l'embarcadère. En plein quartier gay et proche des bars/clubs, pratique pour sortir ! Par contre, 0 ambiance sur place (car vide ?). Pour la reception, il n'y a pas tjs quelqu'un.. Quand on veut faire le checkout a 8h10 et qu'on attend 30 min a appeler, sonner, etc.. pour récupérer une carte d'identité, avec un avion derrière, pas genial (sachant que c'est écrit qu'il faut le faire la veille si on part entre 23h et 7h, mais ils n'étaient pas levés à 8...

Buena ubicación. Limpio. Seguro. El único pero es que no hay ventiladores en el cuarto y el Aire Acondicionado lo encienden de 10pm a 9 am. Durante el día hacía mucho calor y no entraba nada de aire por las ventanas. Muy incómodo estar en el cuarto durante el día.

Great location. My only criticism is that the AC is too strong and I got a cold.

Great location and value, more privacy and improved facilities would be nice. No real common area either other than a small kitchenette.

Lovely hostel! Like most reviews mentioned, not a big common area but if you hangout by the kitchen and chat with people you’ll meet people no problem. The location is great, close to the beach, markets, food, and places to go out. No internet in the back room, but I just went to the common areas if I needed to connect which gave me more opportunities to chat with people. Volunteers are all great

I always enjoy my stay at Los Muertos Hostal.

V very very nice place very convenient to the beach and to all the great restaurants in the area and to all the tourist outlets around the area too and nice people that work there that understanding people who work there the girl who works there she is very cute it was always nice to speak to her every morning or if she worked in the evening to speak to her help her with her English 😊😊

Todo bien sobretodo el personal que atiende te ayudan en todo te hacen sentir muy a gusto y te orientan en todo claro que volvería sobretodo la chica que es la que pone el ambiente y la música 🎵

Fue muy buena la estadía. Abi, Amanda, José María, Abel todos muy atentos. Muy recomendable.

Liked the price, wasn’t very social. It was a okay cheap stay the major thing that I hated was they have no ac on during the day and it get really hot. And at night it’s blasting and way to cold compared to the tiny sheet they give you.

Very nice hostel. Simple with everything you need. Everyone is friendly and the location is perfect. The beach is no more than 20 meters from the front door. Can’t be beat for the price

I’ve stayed here twice so far. My only negatives are that more fans are needed because they don’t run the air conditioning during the day, only overnight. Not enough fans to keep people more comfortable. I spent most of my time outdoors for this reason. Also, I wouldn’t recommend this hostel as a place to work, due to outside noise and heat inside the building. But it is a great place to stay for a vacation and the best thing is that it is only one block away from the beach :)

Great place to stay, Perfect location half block from the beach, restaurants and commerces. The staff is top and I met some great périple during my stay.

My friend and I stayed here for eight days and had an absolute blast. Staff is so lovely and considerate, hostel is clean and in an amazing location right by the beach with a taco stand out front. This hostel provided a very safe and secure environment for two young travellers and the chance to make some amazing friends. If you are a light sleeper remember to bring ear plugs as the hostels great location does bring some nightly tunes. Thank you Los Muertos Hostel! 💗

What a great experience in los Muertos hostel. Is my second time to stayed in the hostels and definitely this hostel made really fun, safety and friendly atmosphere. I had an amazing stay at Los Muertos Hostal! The hostel was exceptionally clean, and the beds were not only large and comfortable. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the main beach and perfectly situated in Puerto Vallarta’s Zona Romántica. A special shoutout to Felipe, who truly made my stay exceptional. He was incredibly kind, friendly, helpful, and respectful. While the whole team was nice, Felipe was a standout!!!
