A Boathouse

+ The house was very beautiful, but we didn't stay as the room did not have an enclosed bathroom with a door!

- A toilet in the room with just a curtain in front of it, is absolutely terrible! Surely they can build a wall (to the ceiling!) and a door for the bathroom!!!!

+ nice view, we had been before and enjoyed it

- we found stains on the sheet. seemed like blood that had been washed in. managers were very confrontational and accusatory when we brought it up.

- keine klima anlage, toilette macht geräusche , 5 verschiedene schlüssel zum ständig ausprobieren , tv mit netflix/ youtube/ keine normalen sender , alles sehr hellhörig . kaffeevariationen beim frühstück: maschine ist kaputt nur dünner filter kaffee alles etwas angesammelt und aus der zeit. indoor pool ca 3x3meter, blick auf das meer ist super, weg nach simonstown zu fuss für etwas ältere menschen unzumutbar.

+ Fabulous location. Stunning views. The publicity photos & views are accurate. Hosts Amanda & Walter were simply superb, making our stay in Simon’s Town and surrounding area one we will return to. Responsive, helpful, knowledgable and delightful. They also make the best breakfasts and run a good team, keeping this property tip top. All doors & windows have security bars locked on to prevent local Baboons from entering. We visited all the places we wanted to very easily. Special area. Wonderful memories.

- Property is adjacent to a huge construction with 20 builders on site from 7:30am until 5pm. Est completion late ‘27! We should have been notified before or on booking. No Aircons in the bedrooms. They would really help esp with minimising construction noise & dust. Pointless to open the 2 small windows for a cross breeze as building site is 1 meter away, with workers & noise from the cement mixer & red brick dust. Our rental car was parked overnight in guest parking bay subsequently covered in dust and splashes of cement!

- Baustelle direkt neben dem Zimmer. Baustelle nicht gesichert und der Zugang zur Treppe ist zusammengebrochen - mit Personenschaden!!! Zimmer nur über umwege erreichbar. Grundstück nicht mit Zaun gesichert und die Kamera ist fake! Fairer weise bekommen wir eine Teilerstattung.

+ La vue depuis le salon est magnifique. Déjeuner très bon et copieux. Piscine intérieur très sympa, mais n'en a pas profité. Belle décoration

- La chambre était petite et non climatisée. Lit très petit 140cm pour deux, quand il fait trop chaud ca devient vite inconfortable. D'autres chambres plus grande sont disponible dans cet établissement.

+ Het uitzicht van uit ons terras was prachtig

- De managers. De echtgenoot had een zeer luide stem en van ons balkon konden wij woordelijk zijn conversatie een etage hoger verstaan. De laatste dag kreeg ik bij mijn ontbijt de rekening gepresenteerd..open op tafel met de mededeling in case I forget.

- Room too small, noise from adjoining rooms, other guests smoking

- The information supplied by on booking.com did not include a building site next door and definitely should have. This was misleading. Potential customers should be given all the facts regarding a property to enable them to make an informed judgement.

- The beds were too small and the room really needs air conditioning it was very hot

+ The welcoming and friendly atmosphere the view super room very comfortable and very nice hot shower really tasty breakfast I have stayed a couple of times and hope to stay again

+ Die Lage in den Bergen war sehr ruhig, wir hatten einen schönen Blick aufs Meer. Alles sehr gepflegt, sehr nette Gastgeber, die einen mit Tipps für den Ort und Ausflüge versorgen.

- Direkt neben der Unterkunft ist eine große Baustelle, was leider bei der Buchung nicht erwähnt wurde. Wir waren ziemlich entsetzt, als wir ankamen. Letztendlich war davon aber glücklicherweise im Zimmer nichts zu hören. Sollte aber erwähnt werden.

- Travaux de construction à côté de la villa pendant notre séjour : nuisance sonore. Non précisé lors de la reservation

+ The Boat House is a lovely small hotel with wonderful hosts - Walter and Amanda who were very helpful and had lots of knowledge about the area and South Africa in general. We couldn’t fault their hospitality and that of the staff.

- The downside to this hotel is that the owners have decided to build another property slap bang next door so it was a building site from 8am to 6pm and therefore impossible to have any peace and quiet on our balcony. At no point did we have any prior knowledge of this building work taking place - such a shame as it’s likely to continue for quite some time.

+ The staff were extremely friendly, the room was large, clean, and very pleasant

+ It’s very lovely boutique hotel with amazing views. The stuff super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very nice, I would say 9/10. I highly recommend it.

+ The location, the view and the staff were absolutely fantastic, very made our stay to be special and memorable.

- There is a construction site happening right next to the place. The noise and also the site is quite dangerous for guests unaware of the unstable soil. The manager was hurt by falling on the construction site during our stay but still did her best to make us feel safe and comfortable.

+ Everything I travel all the time and this is one of the best places I’ve stayed the owners and staff are amazing people the breakfast is super with lots of choices I would recommend going there and if I am in Cape Town again I will definitely stay there.

+ A great location for seeing the penguins and visiting the Cape of Good Hope. A very comfortable guesthouse with lovely views. Parking outside the door, and indoor pool, and a great choice of breakfast options.

+ Vue extraordinaire et calme olympien sur cette Coline proche du centre ville à cinq minutes de voiture ou à pied par de petits sentiers accessibles pour les personnes en forme ( descente et remontée pouvant paraître raide aux personnes pas en top forme). Hôtes adorables et très attentionnés.

+ Wir haben ein kostenloses Upgrade bekommen und waren in einem tollen Zimmer mit super Ausblick untergebracht. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und das Frühstück sehr lecker. In das Städtchen runter zu den Cafés und Restaurants sind es circa 15min zu Fuß, zu den Pinguinen circa 20min.

- Evtl wäre ein Moskitonetz ganz praktisch gewesen da wir nachts ein kleines Mückenproblem hatten.

+ Tolle Aussicht aufs Meer, über den Dächer von Simon Town. die Unterkunft hat eine kleine Küche mit Spülbecken ein großes Tageslicht Bad sehr bequeme Bitten. Wir waren für eine Nacht dort tolle Ausgangspunkt zur Besichtigung der Pinguine und um ans cape zu fahren.

- Wenn man zum Strand will, muss man ein Auto nehmen oder ein Taxi. Dafür hat man eben aber auch eine tolle Aussicht aufs Meer..
