Mold. That’s the first and most memorable impression of Rebel Roosters and it only gets worse. I stayed one night, and that was already too much. The hostel is dirty, poorly maintained, and completely lacking in basic standards. One toilet for more than ten women is simply unacceptable, and the air conditioning didn’t work. The worst part was the 10-bed female dorm “Sapa,” which was full of mold. The smell was overwhelming, the air felt unhealthy, and I could barely breathe or sleep.

Ho contattato il numero di cellulare tramite whatsapp e mi è stato detto che non avevano posti disponibili . Non ho risposto ai successivi messaggi. Io ho dormito su una panca in un ostello accanto. Indecente

the staff was friendly and helpful but hands down the dirtiest hostel i’ve ever been in. Bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned and it was kept in very poor conditions. The room was constantly dirty as well, floors were minging. The breakfast is free but miserable. On a positive note, i think you can rent the best bikes there; they were new, in excellent conditions and very cheap to rent for the day

For three days the receptionist refused to book my bus to Hoi An, saying the company would “forget” if it was booked too early. When I asked again at 8am the day I needed it, it was sold out. I spent my last day in Tam Coc stressed and scrambling. No staff after 5pm led to noisy evenings and upset neighbors. Breakfast didn’t match the “western selection” description, and the advertised happy hour didn’t exist.

We stayed in two rooms. The 6-bed dorm was okay, but the 8-bed dorm was extremely dirty. There was mold and heavy condensation on the walls, door, and window due to humidity. There were also stains on the walls, and the floor was not clean. The sheets had stains and the room smelled bad. There was no lock on the door, which opens to a semi-outdoor common area. We had to keep it open because of the smell and humidity. It’s cheap and includes a simple breakfast. Good location. Room 102 was bad t...

Staff is very kind but unfortunately it’s not a very clean hostel and the common space kinda sucks. Tam Coc is such a gorgeous place and the common area is small, dark, and does not take advantage of the location.

Idk why it has such a high rating, it’s very mid. The ladders to the bunks are painful and awkward to climb up and they rattle a lot as u go up. The bathroom was cramped and filthy. Shower doesn’t drain so it floods, the dirt stays on the floor. The guy checking me in in the early morning was very late which was annoying as I was tired and had arranged to check in prior but he was actually the only noticeably friendly, polite staff member. The lady was rude, unorganised, snappy and grumpy.

Abbiamo dormito 3 notti qui e ci siamo trovati molto bene. La ragazza alla reception è gentile e parla bene inglese e la signora che fa le colazioni è fantastica. L’atmosfera è molto tranquilla, posizione ottima per spostarsi e visitare le varie attrazioni. Unica cosa attenzione al noleggio bici , a me ne è capitata una che stava morendo,faceva un rumore assurdo quando frenavo , le bici migliori erano già state noleggiate quindi è andata così.

war eine günstige und gute Unterkunft. Das einzige was wirklich genervt hat war das bei mir das Warm Wasser bei der Dusche nicht funktioniert hat.

I was only there for one night so I might not have gotten the full effect but you get what you pay for.

Decent little homestay for a quiet detox from the hustles of the bigger cities. Host was brilliant and bikes where cheap to rent

Accueil chaleureux. Le personnel est très sympathique. On a loué des scooters pour 3 jours pour pas cher. L'hostel est bien situé. Le quartier est vivant et à proximité de la majorité des attractions touristiques. Il y a de la bière en libre service gratuitement, une Playstation et Netflix au RDC. On a pris des billets de bus pour Hué sur place pour pas trop cher.

Such a lovely hostel in a great location, especially if you have a scooter with you! Breakfast was basic but such good value for money and a short walk to nearby restaurants. All in all a lovely stay :)

great backpackers hostel with free beer and playstation. you get a bike to rent and explore the nearby places and can see the sunset from nearby as well.

Such a fun hostel! Pretty chill but still social atmosphere in the main area. The host was very friendly and brought her guitar out to play with us.

Great cheap place to stay in Ninh Binh. Iris is a great host :-)

Very comfortable hostel, friendly and helpful host. She organized a motorbike very quickly for us at arrival. And she booked the bus to Ha Giang for a good price. The free beer was finished, but that was no problem at all for us. Good breakfast!
