Ich bin 21 Uhr angekommen und nur ein Security Typ war da. Niemand wusste von meiner Zimmer Reservierung. Ich musste 1,5 Dollar zusätzlich zum Hostelworld Preis zahlen. Ich hatte ein 6 Bett Zimmer für mich alleine, was gut war da ein paar bereits kleinen schwarzen Dreck hatten… Der Security Typ war aber sehr hilfsbereit mit dem Chickenbus
I arrived at 9pm and only one Security Guy was there. No one knew about my room reservation. I had to pay $1.5 extra to the Hostelworld price. I had an 6 Bett Zimmer für mich allein, which was gut war as some already had little black Dirt... The Security Guy was very helpful with the Chickenbus
- Ontvangst was ontzettend onvriendelijk. De dame van de receptie had geen emotie en geloofde niet dat we al hadden betaald dus moesten bijna nogmaals betalen. Kamers waren vies en de klamboes zaten vol met openingen waardoor er overal insecten waren en dat in combinatie met een matras op de grond is niet heel prettig.
Wenn es euch nichts ausmacht ab Abends und auch im Bett die ganze Nacht von Mücken gestochen zu werden und dass schwarzer Dreck vom Dach aufs Bett rieselt, dann seid ihr hier gut aufgehoben und bezahlt wenig Geld für eine Unterkunft in einem sehr schönen Garten mit Ruhe und schöner Aussicht auf den Vulkan Conception.
If you don't mind being bitten by mosquitoes all night long in the evenings and in bed and having black dirt dripping from the roof onto the bed, then you're well off here and paying little money for accommodation in a very nice garden with tranquility and a beautiful view of the Conception Volcano.
+ Goede plek
- Het matras was erg slecht, zat tussen een waterbed en luchtmatras in. Daarnaast snacht veel ongewenst bezoek van beesten (geen idee wat voor)
+ The view
- It is very far from anything, it will cost $30 for a taxi from the port and to town. There’s only one restaurant nearby which you have to walk to in the complete darkness at night and a very small minimart. The room has no A/C or fan so it’s unbearable to sleep in with the heat, the room is v basic it’s just a bed in a hut. The rooms aren’t sealed very well we had a lot of bugs and lizards/ gekkos inside the pod. The bathroom is outside and wasn’t cleaned from the previous occupiers. No wifi at all and they make you pay with PayPal only or cash, which is tricky when there’s no wifi or cash point near by…
+ Nature immersion
- Its pretty unconfortable, the room is way smaller that what it looks on pics. Very hot and full of bugs at night. Is like camping but way more expensive. Dry toilette. Far from restaurants and there’s no kitchen to cook or leave food.
+ Unique
- Barely any lights around but at night very dark
+ The location is great. The staff, local women, are so nice and friendly. The accommodation is really close to a pretty viewpoint.
- I'm honestly mad with this place. My birthday was on January 1st, and I booked this place one month in advance, requesting a very specific spot. The person in charge of the booking system was not attentive enough, and I had to spend my birthday/New Year's, sleeping in a bed harder than any stone, with a dry toilet full of shit, and a broken mosquito net. I had to sleep under those conditions for 2 nights, until the nice ladies from the staff changed my "room". I mean, come on, I booked a month in advance, and you can't even manage to have the toilet cleaned? Oh, a big downside is that you don't have kitchen access, so think carefully before booking here.
+ La posizione ottima a pochi kilometri da playa mango e personale molto gentile.
- Purtroppo la nostra mosquitera era bucata in alto infatti entravano le zanzare la mattina mi sono svegliata ero piena di punture!!! Non ti dico quando vai a fare la doccia! E poi non sapevi dove appoggiare le cose dentro nn c e neanche un comodino solo il letto!
+ We really like the idea of eco tourism with minimal wastage etc. The staff members are extremely helpful. It also appears that they were really taking suggestions into account by adding things that were suggested by previous guests eg curtain etc. Strong free wifi. Close to Playa Mangos - nice sunset, close to el Caiman kayak hire and tour w exceptional service (around 3-5mins walk)
- The mosquitoes. Unfortunately, the location and the rainy season really brings the mosquitoes out despite insect repellants we were still getting bitten. The mosquito nets help but does not eliminate the problem. May be better in the other time of the year.

- Only one chair outside and no table, which makes it a bit useless. Inside not really any place to put our bags/clothes. Some hanging hook could be a nice touch.

+ The place is lovely, the location is great, near a lot of interesting things in Ometepe. It was peaceful, quiet and a beautiful view on the garden and the volcano.
- Mosquitoes infiltrate despite the screen, the fan was not powerful enough to keep the room cool, so the sleep was not optimal. I did not ask for a better fan.
+ Personal muy amable y sitio precioso. Recomendado si quieres hospedarte en un lugar en el que formar parte de la naturaleza. Repetiría mi estancia aquí
Prachtige plek, is nog niet lang open. Fijne buiten douche en lavabo. Er zijn helaas gigantisch veel muggen omdat het zo dicht bij het water is. Ook is er geen keuken maar eten was super lekker en goeie locatie!
Beautiful place, is not open for long yet. nice outside shower and sink. there are unfortunately a lot of huge mugs because it is so close to the water. also there is no kitchen but the food was super delicious and good location!

- Mosquitos
The place is beautiful, not easy to get in but worth the travel. The beds are comfortable and the houses are cute. The staff is professional but not very nice. The outside shower is beautiful but the ground is full of little rocks that hurt the feet so much ! it's walkable to playa mango. It was a pleasant place.

Beautiful area, mostly private didn't have any issues with bugs until our last night. Definitely primitive, just a step up from tenting but comfortable with electricity and wifi. Food was a very limited menu, but we found other places very easily close by.
