Nômades Beach House - Adventure Hostels

+ O atendimento das voluntárias e da gerente é mto bom, te deixam realmente a vontade

- Cama não era confortável, limpeza deixa bastante a desejar, a cozinha é péssima, panelas velhas, copos de plástico

+ Supermarkt dichtbij. Helaas geen ander goed woord voor dit hostel. Ik begrijp ook niet waar de goede reviews vandaan komen.

- Kakkerlakken in de keuken, badkamer en slaapkamer. Schimmel in het matras. Bijna 40 euro per nacht en 1 handdoek per persoon voor 10 dagen. Je handdoek verschonen kost je geld. Toilet/douche bijna altijd bezet. Naar buiten lopen om te douchen.. Heel veel drugs gebruik in het hostel, word niet op gehandhaafd. Heel veel vrijwilligers/werknemers die zelf gebruik maken van de faciliteiten daardoor keuken vaak vol is.

+ Friendly staff members who were sympathetic and supportive of my wish to leave.

- The pictures make it look much nicer than it is. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're expected to be professional on video calls and need to focus. The coworking space is just the balcony upstairs. When I was there, guests downstairs were playing a keyboard and singing. And someone on the balcony was joining in. The dorm was extremely small and hot. There was Aircon but it was pretty ineffective. There was no lock on the bathroom door. The pillow was terrible. Stayed one night and left the next day. It's suitable accomodation if you're looking for a backpackers experience, or you're working a job which is easygoing and you're employer is forgiving of internet that keeps dropping. My mistake was my expectation that it was going to be suitable working and lodging for professionals.

- Nos llevaron a un lugar engañadas gente del hostel que nos mostraron que era una fiesta gigante y era un bar chiquito dentro del morro. La gente del hostel sabia y no le importaba. Se nota q tenían un arreglo para llevar gentr a ese bar pero mostraban fotos que no eran realesNo habia linda energía

- Muy caro para lo que es. Las habitaciones son chicas y hay muchas camas. Si te toca la última cama te asfixias, ya que no hay buena ventilación. La encagarda (Marcela) no te soluciona nada, directamente te boludea, muy mala la organización y predisposición hacia sus huéspedes.

+ Absolutamente nada, não pude me hospedar pois não haviam quartos disponíveis e mesmo assim realizaram uma cobrança indevida com o meu cartão, não recomendo o hostel, tem muitos outros melhores na barra da lagoa.

- Todos os atendentes estavam bêbados e chapados na recepção, não sabiam resolver os problemas e nem falar português, realizaram uma cobrança indevida com os dados do meu cartão, me gerou estresse pois tive que cancelar o cartão e contestar a compra.

+ - Location is good, about 5 minutes walk to the beach - good Wi-Fi - communal space - good place for digital nomads (which I’m not)

- - there was a cat which was laying on all of the beds around (see picture), this is the reason for the low rate. You could see that the cat is very used to it and that nobody’s bothering him. If the cat doesn’t bother you - it might just be a good place for you. - the water in the shower are not freezing, but not hot either. - the three flight dorm bed is really uncomfortable.

- The hostel is extremely dirty - They have no idea about hygiene - The workers are unprofessional they add dirt's to the existing dirt - The rooms are stinky & the mattress has bugs - I found a pack of old food between the bed & the wall in addition to a stinky fungy t shirt too - I could not sleep from the smell - I had to wear a nylon bag in my hands to remove them - the staff did not do anything about it despite my complaint - The kitchen utility are poisonous I will not feed my animals with them in my farm - The employees kept the window open I came back & my bag was all wet from the rain & all my clean clothes were wet the couches are stinky & they have holls they cover it with dirty rugs - I took some photos & showed them to the employees - They said they are ok & they use them normally - I will attach some photos too - The drinking water filter was not changed I think since they bought it - The drinking water color is like coca cola - The staff said it is ok to drink it - The kitchen utility are poisonous - I am glad that I run away to a better hygiene place with a better view & very clean - The Manager stopped replying to my complaints & did not take any corrective action - She offered me a free use of washing machine but I refused it because everything is stinky there - I will not put my clothes in there washing machine -They have no idea how to run the business - I am a world traveller I have been in 106 countries & I stayed in all type of hostels - I never saw something as dirty as this place.

+ The location was great and all the staff were amazing! Super friendly and kind.

- The air conditioning didn’t work well and I was two days without AC because it was in another guests room. The cooling system was a mess and needed updating

+ If you intend to book a private room, you can read my review, otherwise you can ignore :) I had booked a private room for 6 nights there. Before coming, I had asked if I could get a room far away from the common area, because I'm sensitive to noise. At that time the hostel only wrote me they respect quite hours (which was actually true, between 22h30ish and 8h, where they close the kitchen), though I wasn't explicitly told that the room was actually next to the common area. I was given a room which you directly access from the main kitchen, and whose window gives on the laundry area, so it had no privacy. I asked if it's possible to get a refund for half of the days I stayed there, but they didn't accept it. Even with this unfortunate experience, I must tell that I really liked my stay there. For the people I met, which were super nice, and the nice social vibe of the hostel. Also they respected quiet hours and it was not a party place at night, which I really valued. The location is amazing, in Barra da Lagoa, not far from the beach where you can surf. The kitchen had all amnesties, so it was easy to cook a meal. In general, I would still recommend the place!

- For the private room, the lack of privacy. They don't have the most amazing outdoor space I've ever seen in hostels, but for few days it was ok.

+ Experiência excepcional! Nunca havia ficado em hostel. O ambiente é muito agradável, confortável e silencioso durante a noite. As camas com cortinas garantem uma privacidade excelente, e tanto os hóspedes quanto os funcionários respeitam muito os horários de silêncio. ​A flexibilidade no check-in e check-out facilitou muito a minha logística. Toda a equipe da recepção é extremamente gentil, com destaque para o Jamil e, especialmente, o Gabriel. O Gabriel é o ponto fora da curva: um exemplo de profissionalismo, atento a cada detalhe no hostel para garantir o bem-estar de todos. Mais do que um excelente profissional, o cara vira seu amigo de verdade. Recomendo demais!
