A l’arrivée dans l’établissement la dame nous a demandé quasiment 200TBH de plus du montant que nous devions payé sans pour autant s’excuser. De plus j’avais laissé 100€ dans le cabanon dans mon porte monnaie à mon retour il n’y avait plus que 50€. Mon copain avait croisé en repassant plus tôt dans l’après midi le monsieur ressortant de notre bungalow de manière un peu étrange … Bref je recommande fortement, l’hostel ne bénéficie pas d’une bonne ambiance

Petite maisonnette tenue par un couple très aimable, il nous a appris à faire du scooter. C’était relativement propre et nous avons pu laver notre linge.

Really good value for money, you must be comfortable with creepy crawlies (cockroaches and frogs and millipedes) and using a mosquito net (we had to tape up a lot of holes), but can’t expect much else in the midst of nature and it was still a really cute little stay, very cheap.

Stayed for four nights, the huts are well put together, hot shower, clean bathrooms, good bed. The location is in the middle of everything on the island - you need a scooter for everything on KL anyway so this is good. Overall good stay!

The bungalow was very clean and well kept! For the area it is best to rent a bike to get around.

A must stay in Koh Lanta! Fantastic hosts were welcoming and super helpful renting a moped (even gave a brief lesson to get us started!) Also, helped us get a taxi straight back to the port leaving the island. Fairly well located on the island to be able to visit the majority of the best places on the island too without too much driving!

We really loved our stay here! It felt like a resort, but for a hostel price! You have your own bathroom and fridge and can use the pool of the actual resort a little up the road!! The owners were super kind and helpful! We rented scooters from them and they booked tours for us. You can also ask them to wash your clothes for a good price and they'll dry and fold it as well. There were some insects in the bathroom as it's humid and warm. It's not a social hostel, it's more quiet and serene.

Wij hebben hier een fijn verblijf gehad! Je mag gebruik maken van het zwembad en de eigenaren zijn super vriendelijk. Ook konden we hier een scooter huren. Ongeveer een kwartiertje lopen richting restaurantjes en supermarkt.

Super hôtel, nous nous y sommes senties bien ! Plage très proche et en plus il est possible d'utiliser la piscine du resort situé derrière. Propriétaires supers, nous avons même fait une excursion en bateau avec le mari !

Loved this spot. Air con, fridge, shower, short walk from the beach with a few bars and restaurants, nice and helpful owners. The huts are exactly that so don’t expect anything that luxurious but it’s exactly what we were after !

The bungalow owners are incredibly friendly and always approachable, even late at night. On our first day, the lady even drove us to 7/11 so we could grab some food. The location is central yet quiet, and with a scooter rental on-site (200 Baht/day), you can get anywhere quickly. Laundry service is also available. We were extremely impressed. Expect some insects or small geckos in a bamboo bungalow, but it was very manageable. The price-to-quality ratio is excellent – truly a low-budget dream!...

This isn’t a hostel, it’s individual bungalows so you won’t meet other travellers. We liked the wooden vibe and the doors of the bungalows had a lock. The bed felt comfortable. We also hired a bike from reception. However, be warned that given the fact it is a wooden bungalow there is a good likely chance of bugs coming in.

Lovely stay here. Being in the forest there obviously are critters in the room at times but a mosquito net is provided and the owner came to help us remove a scorpion from the room as soon as we asked.

Loved this hostel, the huts they are are really nice, lovely air conditioning, it’s a 3 minute walk from the beach and there is a restaurant on that same beach that does amazing food for a good price. The sunsets are also stunning on that beach, and if it’s not cloudy then you can see so many stars at night. 10/10 hostel, wouldn’t recommend to anyone who’s coming to Koh lanta

Great stay in the private bungalows. Family running the place was super sweet and helpful. Not a social place, but a good place to recharge and have some privacy. Close to the beach.

Fantastic place to stay - clean and cosy bungalows and the owner posted the earpod I left behind to my next accommodation spot which was hugely appreciated :)

Had a lovely stay at Baanmaiphai. The hosts were very welcoming and even gave us a lesson on how to use a motorbike. Definitely recommend as a good base if you’re visiting Koh Lanta but you will need a bike to get around!

Thr family that runs this place is so sweet and kind! We felt like we had plenty of peace and quiet but they were always available when we needed their help with anything.

Loved to stay here, it was very different from where I stayed in other place! You definitely will need to rent a scooter to get around in Lanta as everywhere is a distance from each other! This place does offer to hire a scooter, they even would show you how if you haven’t done it before, the people were lovely! (P.S. not ideal to stay if you’re scared of insects, etc as it is a bamboo house and in middle of nowhere)
