Great location and owner but just generally a tough place to stay. The beds feel very dirty, it’s very grim and the toilets are just not toilets. I’d recommend not staying here
In a decent location for weligama and owner is lovely. However the facilities are pretty grim, the shower and the toilets are pretty much in a construction site out back, one toilet has no door. you have to buy toilet paper, and the showers are not private. its a bed to sleep in but the facilities are quite bad and dirty. my mate got a towel from the cupboard and approximately 100 million mosquitoes flew out.
Great beachfront location and the owner is friendly however do not book the cheapest 8 bed dorm room. The bathroom facilities consist of three outdoor backyard showers with no privacy and no sink. There are two outdoor toilets (only one with a door) and no toilet paper.
Vi bokade för två nätter men åkte redan efter första natten, vi var 4tjejer som bodde i ett privat rum där skulle ha ”privat badrum” och vi betala extra för AC. (Som vi knappt fick använda) Det gick inte o låsa dörren till rummet så alla som bodde på hostlet gick in och ut ur vårat privata rum konstant, även personalen. Och mitt i natten vakna vi av att ägaren stod inne i vårat rum med en lampa och skulle ta en dush, faciliteterna som står på the website ska finnas stämmer...
We stayed for two nights but left already after the first night, we were 4 girls who stayed in a private room where we had to have a private bathroom and we paid extra for the AC. (Which we barely got to use) It didn't go door to room so everyone who stayed at the hostel went in and out of our private room constantly, even the staff. And midnight we woke up from the fact that the owner was inside and I would have our room with a lamp and shower, the facilities that are listed on the website ska ...
The staff were very friendly and the people were lovely and sociable, however the whole place does not look like the picture, it’s fairly dirty, untidy and the facilities are extremely poor, no bathroom doors, no sink, dirty bathrooms and you have to pay extra for toilet roll, we left after a night and wouldn’t stay again, it’s a shame because the owners are so lovely!

Rizzie ist ein super herzlicher und hilfsbereiter Host. An Silvester hat er für uns ein fantastisches Biryani-Barbecue zubereitet.Es hat sich fast wie ein Homestay mit einer großen Gruppe angefuhühlt. Die Infrastruktur des Hostels könnte verbessert werden (kaputte Couch, fehlende Steckdosen, insgesamt schönerer Außenbereich). Wenn Rizzie seine Pläne verwirklicht, wird das bald nicht nur ein sehr soziales, sondern auch schönes und modernes Hostel sein. Ich würde jederzeit wieder kommen.
Rizzie is a super warm and helpful Host. On New Year's Eve he prepared a fantastic Biryani-Barbecue for us.It quickly became a homestay with a large group. The Infrastructure of the Hostels could be improved (broken couch, missing outlets, overall more beautiful outdoor area). If Rizzie makes his plans come true, it will soon be not only a very social, but also a beautiful and modern Hostel. I would come back anytime.
Trotz Nähe zur Hauptstraße sehr ruhig. Sehr schöner Außenbereich zum Essen und entspannen. Super nette Besitzer und morgens abwechslungsreiches traditionelles Frühstück.
Despite being close to Hauptstraße very quiet. very beautiful outdoor area to eat and relax. super neat owner and morning alternatives traditional breakfast.
hands down my favourite hostel ive stayed so far. Rizzie is an absolute legend and the place is so much fun. he creates a big family vibe and you definitely wont want to leave. i booked for 3 days and stayed for 10. i will definitely be back whenever i am in sri lanka !
the best place I stayed in Sri Lanka. I stayed for a long time and enjoyed everyday here. the owners are absolutely adorable and they make you feel like home. the hostel in itself is nice and there's a good outdoor to chill. social hostel with nice people. the cafe is amazing and the location is perfect. by far the best I ll come back and I recommend !

the best place I stayed in Sri Lanka. I stayed for a long time and enjoyed everyday here. the owners are absolutely adorable and they make you feel like home. the hostel in itself is nice and there's a good outdoor to chill. social hostel with nice people. the cafe is amazing and the location is perfect. by far the best I ll come back and I recommend !

Very good place! The hosts are the best, they create a very social and warm atmosphere. Very good location, close to everything you need including surfing, shopping, food etc. We recommend it to all, especially if you’re looking for some hangouts.
This Hostel is one of those places you book for one night and end up staying longer :) Clean and comfortable beds, they make people social, and it truly feels like home. Rizzie and imran treat everyone like family, For sure Coming back ;)

Imran and Rizzie are wonderful hosts - made me feel right at home. Probably the most social hostel I’ve been to so for solo travellers / 2 person looking to make new friends you can’t go wrong with this spot.
Had a great time at one more day. The hostel definitely lives up to its name, you never want to leave. Rizzie and his son Imran were helpful and welcoming, did a great job of creating a fun culture and a homely feel.
One more day is a great hostel, the location is perfect and the owners are great! We feel at home, there is nothing exceptional but the atmosphere is great.

Genuinely the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Such a nice location and the hostel is fantastic. The owners, Rizzie and Imran (and Osman) are the best hosts I’ve ever had. They made my experience here the best, and I ended up staying 4 more nights than I planned! Also made lunches and BBQ’s for all the guests, as well as finding us some great dinner spots. Could not recommend this place enough.
Rizzi is an amazing host! the location is so perfect and the beds were really comfortable. the atmosphere is really really nice it's such a good value I will definitely be staying here again

The hostel is great. I meet nice people and the outdoor area is realy cool. the host have a lot of plans, so it will be better and better! The near to the sea is perfect!
