Isla Roots Hostel

Don’t go there. Very isolated and nothing to do. The staff seemed to be very bored working there. There was a weird vibe, and almost no other guests. The food was not good either, wouldn’t recommend :(

Darwin and Felipe are the best and super helpful with tips of things to do. The chef is also really great. However one volunteer kept staring at my girlfriend and made us both quite uncomfortable. Also it is very basic and if you’re the only ones here it is extremely dead

Plan how you’re going to get here in advance, it’s a mess

Ein bisschen abgelegen, also es kann gut vorkommen, dass man alleine auf der Insel ist mit dem Personal aber alle waren sehr nett, gut zum abschalten

Best Hostel in the World. All people are super lovely and do their best to make you a wonderful time. Super Chill vibes 😍

Lovely hostel! It started out pretty chill and on the weekend there was more of a party vibe. Did the snorkel tour but it’s nothing special. Then I swam around the island and got stung by a sea urchin in the hand, a very painful experience. But the staff helped me get the venom out and showed me how to treat the wounds!!! Big respect. The next day I rented a kayak the whole day and explored the nearby beaches: 100% recommend!! Facilities and food are a bit basic but still good for the price :)

Now El Arca Hostel! We had a lovely time here, it was super quiet and relaxing, the staff were lovely - shoutout to Avel and Lady for taking such good care of us! Perfect place for a reset during our long term travels! I do have to mention there was no running water at the time of our visit so had to shower with buckets and manually flush the toilets🤣 but for the price compared to surround properties like Casa en el Agua, it was great value for money! A happy budget getaway xx

Lo pasé genial en la isla Roots, ahora El Arca. Mucha tranquilidad, la atencion del host muy buena. La zona del bar y musica esta lejos de las habitaciones que permite el descanso. La comida calidad/precio : excelente. Hice kayak a las otras islas, es un paraíso!
