Lushy Hostel Kintamani

The staff are good, it is the fault of the owners. This hostel should not be here, its irresponsible. I walked to the village (40 minutes away) to have lunch, visit hot springs etc, and then it rained - the rain which is common here made the journey back almost impossible. I had to walk through flowing water and mud up past my ankles in unlit streets (almost pitch black at 8pm) with no sign posts, its dangerous. There are no taxis or grabs or any public transport, and finally aflooded dirt track

I would not stay here again. The hostel is quite isolated, and a scooter is essential. Even then, it’s around a 30-minute ride to decent warungs or cafés. The on-site food was disappointing—the worst I had in three weeks traveling Indonesia—and several menu items were unavailable for two consecutive days. Flies in the area also made the outdoor spaces unpleasant during the day. Staff were friendly, beds comfortable, and showers clean, but the property felt empty and somewhat run-down in...

Friendly staff. Best showers I have had since traveling all east Asia and staying in hostels. Great location just is Really really hard to get grab or Any kind of transportation from it so be prepared to pay over priced transportation from the location.

The pool in lake view is incredible and even warm. They got free kayak which is awesome. Stuff is lovely and helpful. The rooms and beds are pretty clean. Coffee is too expensive but foods are delisious and exceptable price for the atmoshper. Only ironic thing is even though kayak is free but you have to pay for towel which is weird.

I had such a great stay there, even though I did not stay long. The views from the hostel are some of the best I have ever seen. Flies are pretty bad currently but it’s only because of the farmers. Please plan ahead about transportation because I almost was stuck in Kintamani. Thankfully Geizka and others helped me get back to Java. Would stay again with more thoughtful planning

Amazing location, located right next to Lake Batur with an absolute blessing of a view. Just opened so there was not much going on. The staff is 100% what made the stay worthwhile, so open and kind, they even taught me how to fish.

This is a really nice hostel. Nice rooms with good beds. I slept really good. The staff, with Geizka, was great doing everything to Support you. The view is amazing! It’s worth a visit!

The hostel is super nice. They offer free Billard and Kayaking. The rooms are like you see on the pictures. You have space for the backpacks and a small sideboard where you can put things in. Every bed has light and electricity. I didn’t like that you‘re not allowed to bring your own food. When we ask for a bowl the first answer was no, but then we got one, she staff gave us one. A really good hostel!! The beds are spacious, with plenty of room to store your bag and belongings safely. Everything is kept very clean, and the food menu is reasonably priced. The lake views are stunning, and the free kayak is a great bonus. The atmosphere was a bit lacking during my stay, as there were very few other travelers, so it’s better suited for a more relaxed, quiet vibe. Also mind that fly infestation in Kintamani could also affect overall comfort, but they do their best to man...

Great hostel in Kintimani down by lake Batur. Friendly staff, very new hostel, great food. Free karaoke and pool table, motorbike rental and tours able to be booked through the hostel easily.

Amazing!! We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were incredible, all of them remembered our names! Feels like a retreat! Totally recommend!

We stayed at the Lushy Hostel for one night so we were closer to the Mount Batur Hike. It was prefect location for the hike, but other than that you are very isolated from everything else and it’s a bit hard to get there. The hostel does have a beautiful restaurant and bar so you have what you need. The staff were absolutely amazing and welcoming! Definitely recommend for the hike and the atmosphere would be really good in peak season.

Great hostel itself but kind of isolated so it was hard to get places. Good air con, clean spaces, good restaurant, and extremely good scenery as it was on the lake
