+ The beds and lines however are good. Huong at the front desk is very helpful, knowledgeable and kind.
- From the photos it all looks good. Unfortunately the reality does not hold up to the expectations. The pool seemed dirty. The breakfast is the worst we have had in our 2 months travel through south east Asia. We had to go out to have breakfast at the nearby nice countryside Homestay, and huch can be recommended for staying. At the Serena Homestay, of the pool sticks at the billiard table, only one is not broken. The scooters are pretty run down, the helmets are not great. The Serena Homestay is just not well kept up. This is sad because of the potential and nice setting. Paying you have to be careful, because if you pay by card, additional fees and taxes, which was not clearly communicated in advance.

- Les photos ne représentent pas vraiment la réalité... Problème de piscine qui se vide... Repas moyen petit déjeuné décevant. La plage a proximité est trop sale pour se baigner

- -vies zwembad -verschrikkelijke rioollucht in de kamer. konden ruilen van kamer maar waren te moe van het reizen! - overal ongelijke tegels bij de homestay, andere dame en ik enkel verstuikt. ze hebben tegelpaden en daartussen stukjes kunstgras, verschil in hoogte van 10-15 cm. levensgevaarlijk! -kapotte tegels - kapotte trap, bakstenen ontbreken. -
+ The owners were lovely and helpful. The beds were comfortable. We were able to hire motorcycles from the owners directly.
- The bathroom had an awful smell with no air flow. The included breakfast was not great. The laundry service was poor, our clothes returned still stained and very damp which caused them to smell in my suitcase.

- Schlechtes bis kein WIFI, relativ teure Mopedvermietung, schlecht aufgepumpter Hinterreifen, Pool nicht einladend, Frühstück schlecht, Staff schleicht teils missgelaunt rum, für ein Homestay riesig, Essensbereich erinnert eher an Autobahnraststätte,
- Nothing in the property looked like the photos: garden was overgrown and disregarded; pool was in bad shape with floor tiles broken (risk of cuts), bad quality food. Pool was used by many kids and teenagers belonging to the family homestay playing rough ball games and that make the whole relaxing and refreshing experience impossible.

+ Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und nimmt sich Für jeden Gast Zeit, erklärt alles über die Insel und die Unterkunft. Sie ist sehr hilfsbereit. Der Garten ist nett.
- Das Zimmer war nicht besonders konfortabel, entspricht nicht einem europäischen Hotelstandard.

+ The location was awesome. I was a bit overwhelmed in the main "city" part of Cat Ba, so being a bit outside of that (closer to the national park) was perfect. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The breakfast was great, and the property was beautiful.
- I can't think of anything that would have improved my stay.
+ Beautiful place with insane surroundings, pool was lovely and close enough to have a lovely bike ride to nearby attractions! would recommend!
+ L’emplacement à l’écart de la ville, le rapport qualité prix , location du scooter sur place à petit prix . La nourriture est très bonne . La piscine est un vrai plus , bien entre une comme le jardin

+ Linda et l'ensemble du personnel du homestay sont extrêmement chaleureux et agréables. Ils nous ont aidé à organiser nos trajets pour arriver et repartir ainsi que notre séjour et nos activités sur place. Par ailleurs le cadre paisible est très agréable, la chambre confortable et propre, le petit-déjeuner copieux et le restaurant de bonne qualité, le tout à un prix raisonnable. Ce homestay est un peu plus excentré et demande de se déplacer en taxi ou en scooter (15min de trajet pour accéder au centre-ville). Cela ne nous a pas posé problème grâce à la possibilité de louer un scooter sur place mais c'est à garder en tête pour ceux qui souhaiteraient loger à Cat Ba même.

+ Locatie en werkelijk een prima restaurant. Vooral de vis is aan te bevelen!
- Men instrueerde ons niet over de warmwater voorziening waardoor we aanvankelijk met koud water moesten douchen. Zwembad kon niet gebruikt worden vanwege een defect filter
+ Schöner Communitybereich, nettes Personal, haben sich um alles gekümmert!
- POOL WAR NICHT BEFÜLLT, was zu einem dicken Abzug führt( war ausschlaggebend für die Buchung), sonst hätten wir es gar nicht gebucht! Die Bilder täuschen etwas, alles in die Jahre gekommen. Roller in einem schlechten Zustand.
+ Die Unterkunft hatte eine sehr gemütliche und hübsch geschmückte Außenanlage mit Pool und Billiard. Auch die Zimmer waren sehr gemütlich!
+ Hôtel calme avec un très beau jardin. Les lits sont confortables mais les salles de bains sont moyennes et humides surtout celles qui n’ont pas de paroi de douche.Le petit déjeuner est moyen. Bon accueil et facilité pour réserver des transports et des excursions. Véhicule indispensable loin du centre.
- La location des scooters qui ne sont pas entretenus. Nous sommes tombés en panne 3 fois malgré le changement de scooters. La piscine inutilisable sans filtration lors de notre séjour !

+ Stanza carina senza troppi fronzoli, bella location immersa nel verde, personale molto gentile e linda (il boss) una persona splendida e molto disponibile, piscina presente, colazione discreta.
- Si percepiva un po' di umidità nella stanza.
+ Struttura bellissima, molto pulita e in una posizione perfetta. Personale molto gentile e sempre attento e disponibile. Ci hanno accolto benissimo. Super consigliato

+ Linda, notre hôte, et toute sa famille sont adorables, accueillants, serviables. Nous avons passé 48h absolument parfaites. L'endroit est trés calme, propice au repos, et en même temps à 10' de toutes les activités de cet île extra de CAT BA. Nous avons aussi pu nous restaurer, Linda nous a aussi préparé des sandwichs en 15' avant notre croisière. Elle a répondu a toutes nos attentes au niveau des activités et a organisé notre retour à Hanoi de porte à porte. Un vrai confort.
