Awful hostel. Don’t stay here. Doors to hostel rooms don’t close leading to animals coming in in the night. I woke up to a cat on my head biting me. I am extremely allergic to cats and this caused me hyperventilation in the room and therefore being unable to sleep and feeling awful with an allergic reaction. Doors don’t close, meaning absolutely 0 security and safety, and wild cats crawling over you in the night. Reception had no sympathy or interest in compensating me and were awful and r...
I do not understand all the positive reviews. Here are some things to note: 1. Instead of an actual building the hostel consists of containers etc. 2. There is no door to the hostel and the dorm rooms do not lock, some of them do not even close meaning light, noise, and mosquitoes get in day and night 3. Most of the showers are broken 4. The toilets are like privys but with a water toilet 5. Bicycle rental is more expensive than elsewhere Only positive is location.
Die Bilder entsprechen nicht der Realität. Unsere Mehrbettzimmer waren in Containern untergebracht, die sehr instabil und dreckig waren. Die Matratzen sind hart und die Handtücher dreckig. Insgesamt haben wir uns so unwohl gefühlt, dass wir direkt wieder ausgecheckt haben. Der Gemeinschaftsbereich hingegen machte einen guten Eindruck. Wenn man sehr low budget reist, ist es wohl okay. Komfort ist was ganz anders.
The pictures don't match reality. Our multi-bed rooms were housed in containers, which were very unstable and dirty. The mattresses are hard and the towels are dirty. Overall we felt so uncomfortable that we checked out straight away. The common area, on the other hand, made a good impression. If you're a very low budget traveler, it's probably okay. Comfort is something else entirely.
dorms sind nur in Containern, überall viecher, fast keine dusche funktioniert richtig und auf der toilette gabs fast nie Klopapier. man kann seine sachen nicht wegschliesen oderr das zimmer. staff ist supernett, die lage ist gut

decent hostel, dorms were simple but fine, nice common area with games and good food. scooter/bicycle rental available and help with transportation. The toilets were not good at all. 5 toilets total, 1 not working, 2 partially blocked, 2 very dirty and not cleaned in two days, only 2 out of 5 seemed to have toiletpaper. showers were ok-ish but you get what you pay for, cheap hostel, nice people
Nice hostel in a good location, showers are a bit naff but apart from that nice hostel for the price

We had a great experience with Big Joint! The owner was very friendly and helpful and the place felt social and clean. We rented bikes to take to the Trang a boats and then we had time to come back to shower and get food and drinks before our night bus. I would definitely recommend!
Really nice place such good value for money. Beds were really big and comfy and the scenery around the place is so nice. Also perfect location just outside tam coc and you can rent motorbike or bicycle to easily get to all the local attractions
The owner is super kind and helpful, let me stay more days than I wanted to but had to.

The place is located in a beautiful area and the set up is such a vibe. The owners are very welcoming, this is honestly one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at while traveling Vietnam, it’s a great social space. I loved my stay here, will definitely return if I’m in the area again.
