The front two rooms with balconies are really nice, the back ones not so much. The hosts were helpful but the wife is recovering from serious surgery so can’t do what shevisuslly does. I was taken by tuk tuk to the tea factory and he waited for me,
Friendly welcoming with cute little dog and cooking class is really informative (sur am going to follow it at home), but I guess being more people might add to the fun. Besides that little homestay feeling. Room is rather small for two people I imagine and there is mold on the ceiling, so only for short stays. Location in Ella is good, close to main street and also walkable distance to nine arch bridge and little Adam's peak (45 min). All in all had a good time.
I had the most magical two days at Nimsara! If you are looking for an authentic, local experience - this is it. The host was incredibly kind and friendly and showed me all the best local spots! He not only provided accommodation but also rides to and from Ella. He also gave me a full tour of Ella in his tuk tuk, showing me the tea estate, local waterfalls, monastery, and hikes, finished with a cooking class with his wife. The room is clean, simple and close to town. Breakfast was amazing!
This family is just lovely! very welcoming, very supportive, very kind! Definitely a recommendation to stay with them!
we stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. The owner and his family were super friendly and helpful, so can definitely recommend.
We had a great stay at Nimsara! The family are incredibly friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. He helped us to plan our onwards travel from Ella with excellent knowledge of bus times/routes etc. The room was exactly as advertised. We made a mistake with our booking and they were understanding and helpful in rectifying this. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
We loved staying at Nimsara for our trip to Ella. Our hosts were so friendly and we loved the tea and coconut pancakes on arrival. They informed us of walking routes, even including a map so we got to Ella Rock with no problem. The rooms are clean, there's hot water and the mosquito nets are good quality. We loved having breakfast outside while watching the squirrels run around in the trees.
The hosts are really friendly and were very helpful. The breakfast was great. We would come again.
wonderful host nice location
We absolutely loved our stay at Nimsara Homestay! We were welcomed with cups of tea and cake and quickly made to feel at home. Tharanga was helpful with planning our itinerary for our travels around Sri Lanka and Rohini makes the BEST breakfast (her coconut pancakes are out of this world). We asked to do a Sri Lankan cooking class with Rohini and enjoyed the delicious feast of curries and roti -- would highly recommend it to anyone staying here! Thank you for everything -- we will be back!
