Blind Dog Inn

Booked last min as a place to rest my head for the night. The beds were large however just felt dirty. The hostel had a horrible lingering smell and you couldn’t escape. Kitchen on site and was probably the filthiest place I’ve ever seen. Ants everywhere. I even saw a rat scattering around the common area. The hostel has dogs that just did not stop barking all night long. Unfortunately not somewhere I would recommend staying.

Saw the mixed reviews and decided to give it a shot for 1 night before the ferry- regretted it. I would strongly advise solo gals against staying here. Arrived in the evening and was unsettling to be shown to my room that I was the only girl in, and in the bunk below mine was an entirely naked old man. No privacy curtains. All the guests I encountered were similarly hostile, mostly much older, men. Also, nothing seemed like it had been recently cleaned. Not worth the money.

Rooms had bedbugs

Disappointing stay, unfortunately would not recommend. Staff were very nice, but the hostel was rundown and completely lacking atmosphere. We stayed during low season, but the hostel had no activities and nobody spoke to each other or socialised. Expensive for what it was. We were charged to fill up our water bottles, no breakfast included, and not much privacy in the dorms (just normal bunk beds). The location is awkward, not close to the beach and theres nothing to do locally. We moved hostel

The property is very authentic beautiful balinese style. But i dont know why the hostel has such high ratings. The bed was really bad. I had the top bed, so it was too hot to sleep, while the lower bed was freezing. So the AC didn’t work in the top of the room, which is a problem for all the people sleeping in the top beds…

The place is cute, BUT honestly not worth the money, you are better off traveling to another more exciting area (even if chill is your vibe) there simply is nothing in Sanur. Also, there is a ton of noice and light coming in through the windows, so sleeping is difficult. Really the only good thing about this place is their blind dog Spot, their house mascot which the place is named after, whom is really sweet, and the nice pool, but don’t waste your time. :)

Honestly, even though the property is beautiful, the experience wasn’t as good. You literally have to pay for everything, for water or even for a towel. The bathrooms were not clean and there was someone coughing rather violently the whole time in the dorm where we stayed which was rather unpleasant. The only thing I truly loved about this place was sweet sweet Spot! What an angel dog! Defo give him some cuddles when you get there.

Fine for some couple of nights

Overall, a very nice place. The beach is a 15-minute walk away. Unfortunately, I have a few flaws. The bathroom, being "open," often smells unpleasant. The room was very hot, and I slept on the top bunk. Since the structure is all wood, but there are no mosquito nets, my bed wasn't clean. Occasionally, something unpleasant would fall from the ceiling.

Staff always friendly, dogs are very cute, pool is clean and tidy. Beds in the mixed dorm are very wide and not traditional bunkbeds - so you don’t get shaken around by your bunk mates getting in and out of bed. Nice vibe in the communal areas. Only note is that there is the usual wear and tear, but that wouldn’t stop me from staying here again.

It’s not the nicest hostel but for Sanur it’s great cheap place to stay before your boat ride. I just didn’t like the bathrooms which were more like outhouses.

I had such a lovely stay here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely and the food was really good. The room is simple but very clean and comfortable with AC turned on in the evening.

Fine for some couple of nights

Mixed feeling about this hostel, some bathroom are just simply “exist” and feel abandoned, for the no curtain bed I already seen from the pictures so no problem, but everything is good it’s just lack of curtains. IDK why you guys don’t put curtains? I only stay for a night, it’s very quiet and cheap. I managed working in a hostel as well. There’s no card machine, payment all by cash (lucky I can transfer) but comeon guys step up your games in hospitality.

Super relaxed and beautiful place with good rooms and super friendly staff

I stayed here one night to catch the ferry the next day. I arrived very tired and asked the front desk for help with ferry schedules or companies to Nusa Lembongan, but they couldn’t help, which was surprising given the location. I also didn’t receive any information about the hostel or where to find everything. The hostel was clean, the bed was great and lockers were big. The shower had very low water pressure so it toon ages to wash out my hair. Nice hostel for a short stay. 🌞

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. I was here in low season (Dec/Jan), wasn’t too busy but very nice and peaceful atmosphere. Staff is amazing! They gave me fresh linnen after a week. The beds are good, rooms are clean, AC worked well, they have big lockers and there’s a lot of areas to chill. And ofcourse the pool area, which is beautiful and was cleaned often.

This was a nice rustic hostel. Chilled and the staff are lovely. No curtains or light, so having to use your phone torchlight when someone switches the big light off at 9pm. It's @ a 20 minute walk to the beachfront where there's loads of restaurants and bars, but there's a lovely little gem @ 15 minutes walk away down a sidestreet, a Japanese restaurant and there's bars leading up to the beach too. I would stay here again.

Enjoyed my stay here in the female dorm. There’s no curtains on the bunkbeds in this dorm, which didn’t bother me as there was only 4 beds and it was quiet when I stayed there (not fully booked). There’s big lockers outside the room, that you will need a padlock for. The pool and surrounding area is well kept and nice to chill out. This hostel has a relaxed and lowkey vibe & semi-social. Grab is easily available in this area, or you can walk to the beach down some alleyways.

In the love and light of our one infinity creator, I had an opportunity to stay at this place for a night. I noticed that there is an opportunity for staff to be more friendly , maintain environment cleaner and mold free. Otherwise, bed and ambiance was pleasant full. I send my love 💖 and light 🕯️ 🚨 to you all

Really nice spot, dead cheap and lovely pool, no atmosphere but don’t think that’s what it’s advertised as tbh so can’t complain, very good if you want to chill, beds are big and comfy. Would recommend
