My Hostel Boracay

The hostel is a 30 minute walk into the main area/ town, located within the local community away from the main strip. The 6 bed mixed dorm was extremely tiny. There is no area to lock your belongings in the dorm. The bathroom was dirty and there was mould growing on the ceiling of the bedroom and bathroom. There was also no wifi. I would not recommend to solo female travellers. We ended up forfeiting our money and leaving early because we felt so uncomfortable.

Wir kamen im Hostel an und waren alleine. Von außen hat man nicht gesehen, dass dort ein Hostel ist. Schon seit längerem waren keine Menschen in diesem Hostel. Das wlan funktionierte nicht. Es sah leider auch ganz anders aus als auf den Bildern. Die Zimmer waren so klein, dass man seinen Rucksack nirgends hinlegen konnte. Alles roch nach Schimmel und wir hatten ungebetene Hausgäste. Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr unwohl gefühlt und haben das Hostel am selben Abend wieder verlassen.

The family that own the hostel are lovely and helpful, but I think there could be improvements. The four bed room we stayed in was tiny there was no room to move or put bags, it should have been a double private instead. There was one shower/toilet for lots of people so was often occupied and not very clean. The wifi didn’t work most of the time and there was no water dispenser. The beds were comfy and clean but there were gaps in the windows and no curtains so very difficult to sleep as very ...

Please don’t go here if a solo traveller, it really isn’t a sociable hostel at all and is really far away from everything in Boracay. Spent my whole time there alone as never met anyone else even though I sat on the ‘rooftop’ each night no one ever appeared and really didn’t feel safe walking to and from the hostel as it’s not in a good area and is also located down a dodgy alleyway with stray dogs. in quiet area, but far from the center and shops. close to recycling yard with very dark alley to cross before the entrance. nice terrace.

The family who run this hostel are very lovely, however the hostel itself was quite average. Definitely not ideal for solo travellers as it is not a social hostel, rooms were also very small and there wasn’t really anywhere to put bags etc. There is also no clean drinking water supplied and we constantly had no toilet paper. Again, lovely family but there are definitely improvements needed.

Only hostel on the island. Quite far from all the restaurants and beaches, lots of power cuts so no electricity/wifi for a lot of the stay, wood crumbs all over the bed - staff knew but hadn’t done anything about it. Common area outside rooms very noisy during the night. Would be nice to have filtered water available and some utentils (cutlery, cups, hot water, bowls) downstairs to use.

Manuel who runs this hostel and his partner coco are very welcoming. They are always around if you need suggestions or to just hang out and have a beer with. They are always experience at this hostel is very chill and a good place to spend some time. The rooftop is a great hang out spot if you want to relax or invite some people over. 10/10

Great stay, did have to stay in a bigger dorm than originally booked due to our toilet being broken. The only issue was the wifi was not good at all, but would stay again so close to the beach and lovely staff. Would recommend to others.

Nice quiet hostel just a few minutes away from the shoreline.

I spent five nights in My Hostel Boracay and I completely recommend it. It was like a home away from home to me. The location is really a plus if you’re looking for calm and tranquillity. Beach is really close. I loved the nights out in the rooftop completely immersed in the nature where you can chat with the staff which is very friendly and willing to make you experience the best of the island. Thank you Nigel and Manuel, really enjoyed my stay here!

Amazing staff! Make you feel like your at home. The nicest people and the cutest place❤️

Best hostel ever. If you are visiting Boracay this is where you need to be. Hosts are amazing, in 4 days they became like family and hostel rooftop provided an amazing place to hangout and meet other travellers. Location is good, close to the quiet side of the beach. Clean rooms and washrooms Great service (breakfast and bar) My love to the hosts
