Irresponsible. Bad communications. False advertisement regarding luggage storage and breakfast. There were no such things. Showers hot and cold water were so inconsistent that it was unacceptable. Horrible wifi. Charging was extremely slow. No staff to be seen.

Do NOT book here. I have never felt more unsafe in my life. Staff was nice, location was ok, bathrooms were clean. However, the OWNER of this hostel got shitfaced drunk and got extremely aggressive to the guest (group of 7 tourists) he physically assaulted us, kicked one of them out at 2 am in the morning and literally called us names and got EXTREMELY aggressive. He might also be onto some sketchy shit Im not comfortable speaking about here. For your safety DONT book here. We called the police

staff rude, had a party in the communal area outside the bedrooms until the early hours, I totally get people want to have a good time but just quite inconsiderate to all guests. I had a flight really early the next morning but got no sleep. No kitchen facilities and bathrooms dirty. Good location but in my opinion not worth it.

Niet gaan! De muren zijn enkel gipsen wandjes, dus het is zeer gehorig. Daarbij waren de muren van onze kamer continu nat. Ook was het bed doorgezakt en klein (ik ben 1.96 meter en mn schenen lagen buiten het bed). Verder kon de badkamer deur niet dicht en de douche lekt water waardoor de badkamer zeiknat wordt. Ook is het totaal niet sociaal en hebben we niemand van het personeel gezien. Het enige dat oke is, is de ligging. Verder echt niet aan te bevelen!! Niet gaan.

Schlimmste Nacht jemals in einem Hostel: ich habe in einem Zimmer mit einem Typ auf Drogen teilen müssen. Er ist ab 2 in der Früh mehrmals ohne Vorwarnung ins Zimmer reingelaufen, hat etwas geschrien, jemanden gesucht, mit der Handytschenlampe in das Bett einer schlafenden Person geleuchtet, sich dann „schlafen“ gelegt und sich in ganz oft und ganz laut übergeben, dass man sich beim zuhören einfach nur anwiderte. Ich hatte die ganze Nacht Angst vor ihm und fühlte mich überhaupt nicht ...

Location is nice, quiet and it’s clean. However, the vibe is a bit strange and facilities are not well maintained. E.g. broken floors, no sign with the name of the hostel outside? And the only way to wash the scare kitchen utensils is in a toilet with no soap? Would avoid to check in here on Sundays. There’s no reception available so you must be lucky that some other guest will open the door for you. The online communication with them is a hassle. Would not stay again.

We booked a private room but it was in a very dirty and unacceptable state. It didn’t look like it had been cleaned after the previous guests-there was hair on the bedsheets, toilet and basin. I had to clean the room myself before using it. The shower also wasn’t draining, so water flooded the bathroom floor and even reached the room, soaking our bags. The rooms need proper clean and maintenance.It seems like nobody looks after the place which is a shame:(

The private room bathroom left much to be desired. The shower was only cold water and was not draining well. Afterwards there would be a sewage smell for many hours. This really dampened our visit. Rooftop was nice but not the most social. Other rooms and experiences may have been better, but our bathroom needs a lot of work.

I don’t tend to leave negative reviews but this has been a really strange hostel experience and something has not been right. It’s self service but still they don’t take your passport details at check in (other guests mentioned the same). I had been in touch with the hostel via WhatsApp so they knew I had arrived, yet Hostelworld sent me an email saying I hadn’t turned up. I whatsapped then to ask for an extra blanket and mentioned the kettle was broken, and no response.

The hostel is located in a very good area; however, we first had single room I, where the shower was not sealed at all and the bathroom got flooded. This problem has apparently existed for a long time, as can be seen from the raised wooden boards. The bed was also not very comfortable. Afterward, we got a new room, which was better, but again the shower was not properly secured. Overall, the price-performance ratio is not quite right. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, then it's ok...

Booked a double room. Nice but small, and that’s ok. The only thing is that we didn’t had any place for our items. A improvement can be to create some space. For example some shelves would be helpfull. Breakfast is included they say. Breakfast is toast with jam. It’s nice that they offer that. But I wouldn’t call it breakfast included. No lo recomiendo si quieren descansar, mucho ruido de los vecinos y algunos huéspedes hacen ruido en la madrugada

I had issues with overall security.I wasnt sure how to get into the building and was buzzed in by another guest who trusted I was also a guest. I was then told there was no staff member on site on Sundays, and was confused how to check into my room, recieve my key, etc. I was then informed by the host over whatsapp that none of the individual dorms locked and that one key was shared byall guests outside in a lockbox.Overall I wouldnt say it was incredibly unsafe but Id like to know this before

A place to stay but not too much more - staff are super nice, rest of the hostel is a bit less exciting. The „free breakfast“ is a pack of toast and instant coffee from the water dispenser, rooms are a bit dirty and walls are very thin. For the price i‘ve had much better value elsewhere in the city!

Great place to stay and it’s in a great location!

J'ai bien aimé dans l'ensemble mon séjour dans cette hostel, bonne ambiance avec activités proposées, j'ai bien aimé la terrasse à l'étage. Par contre j'ai juste une petite remarque pour l'odeur d'humidité dans la salle de bain et dans la chambre.

Coming to Casa Columpio is like coming home. If you're travelling through Mexico and find yourself here, remember that Mexico can be very different from your home but at least here you can take a minute to count your socks. Miren was the receptionist during my stay and was always warm and helpful. The owner is friendly and aware of troubles that travellers can face or bring:)

Super Lage, freundlich, unkompliziert und flexibel bei der Verlängerung des Aufenthaltes. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet (grosse Lockers, Vorhänge, Licht und Steckdose beim Bett). Nur zwei Badezimmer für mehrere Dorms, hat aber ok funktioniert mit den Leuten. Die Küche eignet sich nicht wirklich zum Kochen, jedoch hat es eine kleine Kaffeeecke, Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle, Toaster. Tolle Dachterrasse!

The rooms felt clean enough and the bed was quite comfortable, but for some reason one of the bathrooms smelled like wet dog. It was probably due to the two soaking wet towels left on the shower floor. The toilet was pretty gross looking as well. The other bathroom was better but it still felt a little gross. It’s too bad because the location is excellent if you want to be in Roma Norte and Condesa.

I'm leaving at 10 star review because there was a promotion to get 10% off. So that's my reasoning. Otherwise, there's only two bathrooms to share between a lot of people and often the floors can get really wet and the bath mat and handtowels are not replaced often. There needs to be bins in the dorms because there aren't any and as always more hooks!!! I think all hostels need to put more hooks up in the dorms and in the bathrooms. The upstairs area is a nice place to chil.

Beds were not ready when we Arrived. We Got a 6 bed dorm instead of a 4 person dorm, and when we asked for discount on wattsapp (because the staff was not there) we got unkind response saying they didnt do any refunds. On Hostelworld it says breakfast included- thats just toast bread and jam. Didnt look very appetizing.

Had a very nice stay here, its quite a calm hostel. Great beds.
