Hostal Fungi Casa Rosa

Our private room was basically in the sitting room with a thin wall separating us and everyone else - you could hear literally everything. A printer woke us up around 5am every single day. Not even close to enough bathrooms for the number of people - 2 showers for god knows how many rooms, 1 of which was in a dorm. Shower was quite cold. The bathroom door was broken and literally came off its hinges when you tried to close it. Nice neighbourhood, but hostel severely overpriced for what you get.

AVOID THIS PLACE On our first night another resident told us she had bed bug bites from the night before. We found out the bed she got bitten in was the exact same bed/room we were assigned to. The staff said they put spray poison on the beds but could not guarantee it worked. They told us that nearly half of the rooms had been infected with bugs, and yet they were still renting the rooms out WITHOUT telling guests. And when we checked our beds, we still found a huge bug on the bed. NEGLIGENC...

This hostel had so many issues. The main one being privacy. The doors to the rooms did not lock, which is a major safety concern. Not to mention, there are only three bathrooms and two showers for the entire hostel. One of the bathrooms, you have to access it through one of the rooms. You also have to walk through this room to get to the roof. So if anyone needs to use that shower or go to the roof they have to walk through a room where people are sleeping. It was also very dirty.

The location is fantastic but that’s all I can say about it that’s positive. Employees would smoke and hang out late (past midnight) in front of our room, which made sleeping difficult as the smell was pungent and they talked loudly. I don’t recommend the private room attached to the outdoor area. Hot water was unreliable. Included breakfast was bare.

The dorm I was in was too small for 4 beds and no space to put belongings. It felt too intimate to be sharing with 3 others but is good there were curtains. The bathrooms are lovely, the terrace is nice, the location is in a safe and trendy part of town. The breakfast is awful just some cheap bread and bad jam and yoghurt pots. Staff were lovely.

It was okay! Wasn't terrible but wouldn't stay again & wouldn't recommend. It was very quiet - not the easiest to meet people as a solo traveler. The average age was about 60 which was kinda weird. Breakfast was the same every day - bruised apple, yogurt, and bread - was nice that it was included but got old quickly. The downstairs shower only got luke warm but discovered that the upstairs one had hot water. Staff was very nice but not always present. Beds were very comfy. Location was amazing.

Personnel très sympathique et disponible , roof top agréable, cuisine bien équipé . Petit déjeuné vraiment trop basic , et je n’ai pas trouvé les gens de l’hostel friendly .

Piccolo ostello in una buona posizione. Nel complesso è ben tenuto e pulito. Più di una volta non c’era l’acqua calda, che per il prezzo che ha dovrebbe essere un servizio garantito

Would have been nice to get information about the free breakfast and free water station. The room was okay but was right beside an open (no doors) dorm room so could hear everything. Washrooms were okay pretty basic. Good location. Wasn't really a vibe but I was okay with that as we were only there for one night.

Great location! There wasn't much happening and I wasn't able to meet anyone. I had a private room on the balcony and it was fine since there wasn't much going on but if there had been it would have been really loud. The room was clean and nice.

Nice hostel in a nice and safe location. Staff could be more friendly with more recommendations and creating a warmer ambient. Wifi is not great and breaks a lot.

Very cute hostel, great people working there, breakfast is included but no highlight, beds were clean, bathrooms and floors just a little dusty, area of the hostel is great and safe and the hostel itself feels lively but not loud.

A Wonderful place! it is very clean, the beds are comfortable, great location, nice terrace to hang out and meet travelers and a good vibe, the only downside is that the beds have curtains so it does not feel like a hostel because everyone closes them and atmosphere becomes anti-social...overall I highly recommend it, I will go back soon!

Decent hostel in a good location. The common areas could have been a bit nicer, and the light in my bed didn’t work, but otherwise fine and would stay again.

We only stayed for 2 nights but it was a nice experience! The staff were really friendly and the location was amazing! Cool hostel layout as well. Felt nice and cosy and we liked how organised the kitchen was!

L’emplacement est super, près de jolis café et de parcs. Les chambres/lits sont propres. Pour le reste, j’ai trouvé l’endroit très moyen, seulement 2 douches et 3 toilettes pour tout l’auberge. Une des salles de bain sentait vraiment mauvais l’humidité/moisissure. Très mal insonorisé. Pas d’ambiance, weird vibe des gens qui y travaillent. Je suis resté 5 nuits mais honnêtement pour plus que 1-2 nuits je ne recommande pas.

Very nice stay ! I already went in may and just come back in October because I love this place

muy amable el personal, muy agusto

The location is good, and the building is nice and has interesting design. What soured my stay is how uninterested and rude the staff were. Rebecca hardly greeted me, and overall gave the impression that I was bothering her by interacting with her in any manner. Considering travellers arrive at a hostel likely jet lagged and tired, a tiny bit of hospitality would be nice. Instead, I received a dismissive attitude by her and the rest of the staff were also not very friendly. Dampened my stay tbh

La ubicación del hostal es fenomenál! Tambien hay un desayuno pequeño en la mañana y siempre hay agua filtrada. Las camas son comfortables y tambien hay una terraza para descansar.

Fungi hostal was in a decent location- about a 10 minute walk to a few restaurants, but is on a pretty quiet street. Street vendors do come by at night though trying to sell different products. Not a super social during my Sun-Wed stay, but the facilities were nice.

Really good on the cleaning and facilities. But there isn’t much going on. The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms are clean. It’s just not a hostel where they facilitate the guests meeting each other. There’s no activities organized and the employees don’t mingle much with the guests. There’s kitchen is nice, but the breakfast isn’t much :)
