Hostel Condesa Chapultepec

Avoid this place. This place was genuinely filthy. None of the beds in the dorm room had been changed when we arrived. I slept in one that I originally believed was clean but woke up to noticing crusty dried gunk on the sheets. When I asked the owner to clean the sheets, he was dismissive and told me to change them myself. The bathroom was also super smelly and dirty, and tried to avoid using it at all costs.

My experience at this location was highly unpleasant. On the positive side, the location is great and the price is affordable. However, the property is exactly as described by that price point: cheap, disorganized, and dirty. On one night, I had to sleep on an empty bed without a pillow, blanket, or clean sheets. Bedbugs, people smoke in the rooms. In total a verry bad hostal.

I wasn’t able to get in and had to get a much more expensive accommodation last minute. I tried calling, emailing, and buzzing at the door and never received a response.

Took 3 attempts to check in which wasted a whole day for us. Toilet ran out of toilet paper. Beds were dirty. Security lockers were broken. Location is great. Moved hostels and found better value elsewhere.

Dirty and creepy. the owner was drunk when I arrived. don't go there.

I had prebooked a bed in the dorm and arrived around 19:30 but The hostel was closed and it was not possible to contact anyone. The number I got sent with my confirmation was not correct. A local neighbourr who speaks better Spanish then me helped me and also tried to call the number written on the door. A man told him, he would come. I waited for another 40 minutes before I decided to look for an alternative as it was almost 22:00 already. This even repeated another time, 3 days later

When we arrived at the hostel, the owner told us, there are no beds free even though we booked them & paid deposit. We were lucky that other people left earlier, so we could take their beds. We also had to wait for about 15 minutes, because no one opened the door, even though we were within the checkin hours. Its very dirty aswell. And after I took a shower and was trying to turn off the shower, I could feel some electricity going through my fingers (I was standing in the water). Dont go there

Primero de todo, quiero decir que el personal del lugar fue muy simpático y me trató plenamente con respecto. Sin embargo, me parece que tal vez la obra de manejar un alojamiento se les pasaba un poco a causa de varios factores. Para empezar la organización de todo faltaba un poco. Tomó mucho tiempo para encontrar mi reserva aunque tuve toda mi información y mi número de reserva impreso y listo de enseñar al momento de hacer el check in. La ubicación es muy buena, pero el Hostel está muy descuidado, es comprensible porque los propietarios son personas mayores de edad ellos son muy amables, , pero si necesita mucho mantenimiento y limpieza, lo único bueno es la ubicación y el precio para un par de noches estuvo bien, me he quedado en muchos Hosteles en Europa y Asia y este es el primero que estoy en Mexico y ha sido el más descuidado, no por ser Hostel tiene que ser sucio y con mal mantenimiento

The place is very affordable and provides the basic necessities I needed at a great price. The staff were very friendly. The house is almost 100yrs old so some things need updating but nothing that a little patience can’t handle. Great location near Roma, paseo de la reforma, hipódromo & other nice areas. Very safe & secure area full of restaurants & bars. Also, close to public transport to get you to popular spots. Would definitely stay here again if on a tight budget, highly recommend.

This is an old-style hostel, so don’t expect big parties or a crazy atmosphere. It’s run by the owner who actually lives on the property, and take care of. The house itself is old but in good shape and maintained nicely. The best thing is the location – it makes it easy to get anywhere in the city. A lot of people stay here longer term, either because they work nearby or come for events in the city, so it has more of a calm. Recommended if you search for peaceful place.

Me cancelaron mi reserva aunque me cargaron mi tarjeta . Llegue y no tenia nada . Apenas me hicieron el favor de darme una cuarto comunitario.

The toilets were disgusting. Also i had the feeling that ist not a safe place to be. I dont wanted to stay there any longer, because i felt like i get robbed in the night

Location is amazing, but you get what you pay for. Issues with many things but if you pay for a cheap room you will have a place to sleep!

Conditions will leave you wanting to be elsewhere and the saving grace is the location and relatively low price. Women staying here should be aware that there is no private bunk room or bathroom. Host will shift guests around and put men in the women’s dorm when there’s less space. The door to the bunk room remains unlocked and host or guests will come in and out to use laundry on the balcony. The facilities are not clean. We stayed 2 nights opted not to shower bc of the conditions. Nice...

Se encuentra en una excelente ubicación pero mi experiencia fue muy mala… Cuando llegue, vi que había muchos hombres en la lista donde te registras, del mismo lugar de origen, hice el comentario al señor Javier, lo cual solo me respondió que venían de trabajo, para mi sorpresa era un grupo de albañiles, llegando a las 22.00, se pusieron a tomar en la otra habitación pero venían a la mía, me sentí muy insegura e incómoda, había cucarachas y apenas estaban limpiando la habitación a...

Mi experiencia fue la siguiente: realicé una reservación por medio de la plataforma hostelword.com, esta se confirmó y se realizó el pago, al ir al recuento llegó y este está cerrado, me comunico al número telefónico que me llegó al mail por medio de la reserva y resulta que el lugar está lleno, no se respetó la reservación y textualmente pregunté a la persona que me atendió la llamada y este me dijo que las reservas no tienen “validez alguna”.
