Wake Up! Bondi Beach

We were excited to stay here as it was a great location. Staff were friendly. Kitchen was decent. However the rooms were super small and dingy, especially with lots of people having multiple bags and/or suitcases etc in messy states and filling up the entire room. The hostel events were deceiving. “Cheese and wine night” started with staff going round banging on all the doors and screaming at 7pm. Rooftop terrace was shut some days. Overpriced

Ze waren de bovenste verdieping aan het renoveren, dit maakte mega veel lawaai. Ook was het redelijk oud en rook het muf. De locatie is top, maar de vibe vond ik niet mega gezellig.

Someone stole my bag and the staff doesn’t do anything about this ! Like a person on the staff said : « she doesn’t have the time to look the cameras, because she’s to busy ». So the staff doesn’t really care about my situation and this is not very cool because I thought this a safety place, but apparent no.

This is a very young and party hostel. Don’t expect to get much sleep here. The corridors are noisy. There aren’t any privacy dividers on the beds so you wake up facing the person opposite. The beds are all connected so when someone rolls over everyone feels it. The toilets get disgusting overnight when people are sick after their night out, but they are cleaned up quite quickly. The interior of the hostel is super dark and depressing. All the pictures of the beach view are a bit misleading, as most of the rooms had windows looking directly at a concrete wall. I almost left the hostel early from how much this affected my mood. Even the common room felt so dark & depressing. Vast majority of the people at the hostel are here with a 1-year work visa and are trying to find a job. I think the hostel definitely had a younger crowd, with a lot of people looking 18-22 years old

Emplacement génial juste à côté de la plage d’où sont pris élever que pour les voyageurs riche Dans l’ensemble établissements très propre mais alors aucune ambiance aucune convivialité rien et là le meilleur j’arrive dans la cuisine pour me faire à manger et la plus mes courses dans le frigo ah bah oui ont a tout redistribuer car ont pensait que vous étiez parti !! The staff was sweet, Luke and Michael were so helpful and supportive but someone brought another person into the hostel to sleep, which is not a comfortable or safe feelings.

Es war ein sehr schlechter Aufenthalt.. die Küche war so dreckig, dass man dort nichts essen konnte. Die Bäder waren auch nicht viel besser. Das Zimmer hat gestunken. Ich kann es nicht empfehlen!

smells like a boys locker room, looks like a 90’s cruise ship and generally quite grubby. Had to ask for clean sheets on arrival as there was hair all over and around my bed. To be fair, the staff were lovely and apologetic. Even after the sheets were changed they just didn’t feel or look clean. Luckily I had a sleeping bag slip. The reedeming qualities are the friendly staff, rooftop and location. So if you can put up with grubby, stinky loud hostels then it’s ideal!

Too expensive. I paid A $95 per night for a dorm! Location fantastic. Bathrooms very clean. AC excellent. Free pool table was a nice touch. Excellent lockers.

I loved this hostel. I found the wake up in the centre too big and difficult to meet people. But at Bondi the vibes and events feel more curated and easier to get into. The hostel is really comfy and the roof terrace amazing. The location is just incredible - right on the beach by everything else. For that alone it’s a 10/10.

Perfect location, right on the beach. Great spot to socialize and meet people, has everything you need on the main road. Highly recommend

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Lage ist wirklich traumhaft und das Personal total nett. Zu beachten ist jedoch die sehr kleine Küche und auch im Badezimmer ist nicht viel Platz.

Great hostel, right on the parade and the beach! The female dorm I stayed in was fine, the bunk beds were good and weren't noisy when climbing up and down. The all had a privacy curtain, outlets and a light, which was very nice. There were drawers under the beds for storage, but a part from those, there weren't other storage options making the room quite messy, when everyone kept their suitcases on the floor. Found the cleaning staff to be extremely rude, snatched open our curtains and told us to leave so they could clean the rooms. The showers were basic compared to other hostels, no separate changing area. The rooftop was nice and location was excellent

I didn’t want to leave I met the most amazing people that I won’t ever forget, not to mention how helpful the staff were and open to joke around, if I could live here I would 10/10 if you want to stay in bondi and have the extra cash stay here

Loved the roof terrace. Rooms are also really nice and have plug sockets and a light by the bed. Didn’t like the showers - the floor gets soaked and there is nowhere dry to then get changed so if you’re wearing trousers they end up wet. The kitchen is also small and during busy times it’s chaotic. It is expensive for what it is but overall it is nice.

Clean and fun place

Loveedddd this hostel. Literally right on the beach in such an amazing location. We did the 4 bed female dorm and the beds were like pods which is always nice. The kitchen is a bit small when everyone’s cooking at dinner time but is well equipped. We didn’t find this the most social hostel but that might be due to our room choice!

Amazing hostel for solo traveling! Location is amazing, great events and the staff were so fun (shoutout to Jake)! Would recommend this hostel to anyone.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE HERE! 🌊Honestly I was doubting to come here because there’s no curtains but I took a females dorms only and everything was fine! So many things included here, a lot of activities, free shuttle to the center every hour, always super clean, big kitchen and AMAZING staff. I have to make a BIG mention to the manger, I think her name is ✨Agustina✨ !! She literally spend 5 hours with me trying to get my flight back home (because the company cancelled without telling me) BIG...

A great location and plenty of social events hosted for making friends. Be ware that anyone could walk in. The kitchen could have been cleaner but it was fine and usable. Nice private beds with individual lights, plug sockets and black out curtains.

Amazing beachfront location. Beautiful area. Great staff and very clean facilities. Loved the daily activities and the organization. I booked initially five days and then I extended five more days because I loved it. Thank you wake up staff for the great experience.🙏
