A beautiful hostel.

A hostel experience that feels like you're just sharing a luxury house with friends. Waking up in the morning to a view of the Waitekere Ranges, followed by breakfast with the owners delightful dog, made this the best stay of our trip.

The scenery around the place is great and the kitchen living area is really classy. The bunks don't have plug sockets and the forms don't have any lockers which is unideal. All facilities are nice and clean. Don't go expecting a social hostel vibe but you'll get a nice relaxing time.

I absolutely loved staying here but it's only idea if you do have a car, this place is quite remote with no public transport.. the rooms was clean and beds was comfortable.. just wished I could of had my hire car a bit longer so I would of stayed on my last day as well before going home.. there is no shuttle service to airport so not sure why this is being advertised..

Nice place, quiet and about a ten minute walk from the general store. Great place to say if you are looking to relax for a few days

Loved this place so much… would definitely stay here again/recommend to friends and family. The view from the property was amazing, the building was really stylish and the bed super comfortable. Only wish we could have stayed for longer!

What an amazing place. I stayed here as my first stop on my solo travels of NZ, I felt safe, welcome, and at home here! It’s a lovely social place I met a bunch of great people and would have happily stayed longer! There’s not too much in Piha itself but absolutely beautiful scenery, wildlife, quite a few good food spots and lots of nice walks that are easily accessible! Honestly couldn’t recommend more for a relaxing way to settle in to your travels! Thank you Piha Beachstay!

Awesome spot. Small river wrench through the property and there is a trampoline. Rented a surfboard from the owner. Only went out for a couple hours, but he charged me for the full day and didn’t give a reason. :|

Loved this place!! The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the property was beautiful! Lots of lovely places to sit and relax both inside and outside! Dorm room was spacious and clean, comfy beds too! Would definitely recommend 👍🏼👍🏼

Amazing place for a peaceful time. The mixture between youth and older people is really nice. There is an amazing homely atmosphere which facilitates nice talks with others. Highly reconmended.

This is the best place I have stayed in NZ. Felt like a lodge/cabin home. So cozy, clean and quiet. Staff are very nice :)

This accomodation is a 11/10! Wonderful location, top facilities, beautiful garden with chickens and nice people!

Really nice hostel in a beautiful area, facilities were also amazing. It is a really small town, so if you're coming over for a few days it might be nice to bring some extra groceries, since the only store in town is quite expensive and closes really early. If you're looking for a social hostel this is not the best option probably, because I felt most people were kinda doing their own thing, but if you're ok with that I would really recommend this place if you're in the area!

This is one of the most beautiful hostels out there. It feels more like a resort than anything. The view of the mountains from the bunk room, the clean, spacious bathrooms, and the gorgeous porch out back made for one of the most comfortable stays I’ve had yet. This is an ideal place for quiet relaxation off season, though I imagine in summer it gets pretty busy. As a solo traveler, I would’ve enjoyed more company for my longterm stay. The stay was really awesome! Super clean, felt like home with a big, well equipped kitchen, terrace and garden. They also have own hens and eggs! Location is very nice, view out of the window is super calming and relaxing with only birds in the background. And they also have a trampoline ;) All in all, I can totally recommend!
