Day and Night Hostel

Guess what! They charged my card before I arrive while I withdrawed it already for the hostel and I couldn't find the hostel, no property phone number to call, ended up staying in a different accommodation because I was so tired and now asking me for a review. Gotcha

if you’re on a really tight budget or nothing else is available alright, but expect to take a biiiig step out of your comfort zone 😂

The location is somewhat good, but thats about it. Not very clean, no hot water, disgusting smell, little room and a very wierd neighborhood.

Very unsafe and bad hostel. There are no lockers in the dorms and they are incredibly small. 10 min queue everyday to get into the elevator to get to the hostel, building is very cramped and feels dodgy. If there would be a fire there is no chance of getting out in time. Location is good but it is not worth staying here, pay a bit more for a real hostel. Man in reception was rude to me, cleaning lady was very kind.

Maybe Price worry for Hongkong, but in generell… idk. We booked two nights, stayed only one because it was dirty. I mean not heavily dirty but still in the shower, there was mold everywhere, the stairway to the room was so disgusting. The staff was nice, it’s very central, so that are the good points.

Warning: this place is in Chungking Mansions, which is a legendary hotspot for dodgy stuff. You are NOT getting luxury, and there are old stories of very bad things happening in these buildings. HOWEVER, my stay was pretty good all things considered. My private room was ok, water in the shower was good pressure and temp, bed was fine and room felt secure enough. My main reservation was what would happen if there was a fire, but that's more an issue with the building rather than the hostel.

Perfect location, cheap and authentic. But dont expect more

It's a great bohemian backpack hostel... it'll put you right in the heart of the pinensular city,right next to the red line, and within walking distance many attractions. The staff is kind and the price is great for the city's cost of living. It's a tad bit funky as the first two floors have a Bazar feel which might be overwhelming at first but once you make it up the stairs or elevator to the tenth floor HQ, it's rather convenient later on. The quarters have all that you need when not exploring
