Qingdao Kaiyue International Hostel

Very well designed and eqipped hostel in the heart of Qingdao with hotel-like quality. The food in the adjoined restaurant is tasty and serves also western cuisine. The only downside is that there is no common room, so it will be difficult to meet other travelers here.

Really good coffee, nice space for breakfast.

In general, everything was great and especially staffs worked 24 hours so I could check in even at the late evening. Staffs are really kind and polite!

The property was good and very clean. But It was so hard for me to go up to the rooms. Cuz there's no elavator there. Except for that, it was nice

I stayed there recently and it was excellent. The staff in particular were fantastic. All of them spoke English and were very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely go again.

We stayed at Kaiyue Hostel mainly to relax and recover the vibe was calm and perfect for a short break. Staff were fine, polite but didn’t go beyond what’s needed, which suited us just fine. The restaurant was excellent with great Western food, a bit pricey for China but worth it. Brunch is included, though portions are small so you’ll likely order extra. I booked the top room for a better bathroom absolutely worth it. Just wish there was more bottled water. Open 24/7, great for a night ou...

This hostel is extremely beyond my expectations. The location is excellent if you want to take a city walk in old town, and not even to mention the staffs here, everyone is warm and welcoming to make me feel home. I had spent two extraordinary days here, and highly recommend this hostel to you all.

Great location in old town within walking distance of train station, subway stop, and many tourist sites. Located in a preserved old building. The dorms were fine, you get a cabinet and a padlock to store your stuff. Mattress a bit thin, but about normal for China. Very little street noise at night. Shared bathrooms seemed bit small (only two stalls) not a problem when i was there with the dorms only half full. Attached coffee shop is good, pleasant to sip on the front steps in the morning.

Very pleasant stay, would 100% recommend. Perfect location, it would be a mistake to visit Qingdao and NOT stay here.

A really great hostel in the old part of qingdao. Very nice atmosphere probably also due to the fact that this hostel is built into an ancient church. Easy to reach Lao shan. The stuff is very friendly and speaks fluent English. Same for the attached restaurant! The room (I was in a 8 bed male dorm) was clean and well prepared. Power plugs (incl USB) and reading lamp on each bed and the room was nicely warm in winter season. The shared bathroom was kind of cold, as there is no heating there.

Everything was very good except for one thing. Why was the toilet paper not inside the toilet stalls? There is absolutely no reason for this and I hope they fix it.

it's located near Zhongshanlu metro station. quite good location between Qingdao train and Taidong shopping street. espacially there staffs was very friendly and helpful to me. really nice. and the roop top view was also very nice!!

One of the best hostels I have been to in China

No curtains so no privacy. Other than that everything else was okay.

Perfect hostel. The rooms are ever so clean. It is quiet but I would bring some wax earplugs for when it is busier. There are lovely common areas like the library with a small balcony on the 4th floor and some sofas on the 3rd floor. Jinn's is an attached restaurant where you get 10% off your orders. We had a pizza which was great. It is very central.

Had a great time here, the staff is very friendly. Everything was very clean. Also, I had the 8-person room on my own for 2 of the 3 nights
