Very rude and unprofessional staff

I stay in a shared room nt remembered how many either 8 or 10. The room are OK. Each bed has it own nook which is nice for privacy and you have a night light and USB plugs to plugged your phone or tablet. The only bad thing is that the rooms where super hot and there was one fan on the window for the hole room. With or with out the curtains was really hard get some air to your area. I stay with a friend and she also got super hot at night. I think is super easy to get small fans on each bed hook

Overall, I enjoyed my stay, especially the very comfortable beds, which are attached sturdily to the walls so they don't move around whenever someone rolls over or climbs the ladder, like at most other hostels. The staff is very friendly and helpful, too. However, storing our things outside the rooms rather than under the beds or in lockers inside the rooms is a hassle. And a dishwasher would be a low-cost, welcome investment, since many don't know how to properly wash them.

Fantastic experience. Rosie is the best. The Ravishing Reuben is quite the interesting and entertaining host. I'm coming back for sure!!

This was my first stay in a hostel, and I’m nearly 60 years old. I was quite surprised at how comfortable the bed was, and the overall cleanliness of the facility. Showers were clean, and there was plenty of hot water. I go to bed pretty early, and my sleep wasn’t disrupted at all by people coming in later. Privacy curtains on the cubicles were a nice touch. I’d stay here again.

Great Hostel. Perfect location. very clean and staff was helpful. loved the added privacy with the bed curtains and the comfort of the shelf, light and outlets by the bed. unfortunately, not a lot going on in the common area.

Really lovely hostel. Perfect location, super clean and pancake breakfast in the morning. Rooms were lovely, would definitely recommend.

It's so nice that there's a hostel this great right in the middle of Santa Barbara. You're steps from the train station and the beach, no need for a car. It can be very difficult to find quality hostels in the US, but this one has everything you'd want from a hostel anywhere in the world.

This was my first time staying in a hostel and I couldn't have been happier! The staff were very kind and helpful with a wide range of items. They always had suggestions or something to chat about. The staff were also very understanding of my travel being altered causing me to arrive late and leave early. I can't wait to come back someday

This was the best hostel I’ve stayed at so far. The staff was like family and the property was insanely accommodating with everything from food to entertainment. I couldn’t ask for a better experience especially in one of the most beautiful places in California. The train next to use is loud but you kinda grow to get used to it. I don’t know what hostel can beat this one for its value and location. This is truly a hidden gem💎

Dan and chaz are great! Only gave 4 stars because another hosteller kept opening up window all the way… as i was bed closest, and knowing homeless pipulation in area, did not ferl secure sleeping. I would close it enough so a person couldnt shimmy in- she opened it all the way. I asked her twice to be respectful of my concern, and she said it wS hot in her top bed and she had a right.

I stayed in the all-women's hostel. Amazing experience! Staff was very knowledgeable and kind, and so were the guests. The bunk beds were private and comfortable with a curtain, which I have not seen at a hostel before. ITH Santa Barbara Surf Hostel was a fantastic way to spend my New Year's Eve/Day!

Absolutely the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Perfectly located right by the main station, the beach, and downtown. The space is beautiful, full of natural light, great energy, and amazing people. Everything is spotless, and the beds are hands-down the most comfortable I’ve had in any hostel. But what really makes this place special is the staff, genuinely the friendliest and most welcoming crew you’ll meet. Huge thanks to Rosy, Drew, Maxine, and Chaz for making it feel like home.

Das Hostel ist zurecht ausgezeichnet worden. Es ist sehr persönlich und privat, gleichzeitig kommunikativ und offen. Alles top, so soll es sein!

Un des meilleurs hostels que j’ai pu faire ! Nathan qui m’a accueilli à été au top ! Chaleureux claire et souriant. Il nous partage sa bonne humeur ce qui est très agréable pour débuter son séjour. L’établissement est au cœur du centre ville entre la mer, les magasins et les restaurants. Les lits sont très agréables Seul petit point les douches pourraient être équipés de plus d’étagères ou de quoi poser ses affaires durant la douche.

Awesome place! Good vibes, clean, and super convenient. Had yummy free pancakes for breakfast, but missed the free hamburgers the night before. Would definitely stay here again!

lovely hostel. the location is great (very close to the beach). The hostel was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. They organised some type of group activity everyday. That helped meet the other people living in the hostel.
