Me picaron chinches, revise la cama y los encontré en el marco. Avise a la administración y me armaron una cama de emergencia en el entrepiso arriba de la cocina y cuando comenzó el desayuno ya no pude dormir más. En el baño encontré babosas. La limpieza dejó mucho que desear. Para el ambiente mochilero súper buena onda y todo pero por el precio que pagué hay mejores opciones en Puerto Varas
I got bitten by bedbugs, checked the bed and found them in the frame. I notified the management and they set up an emergency bed for me in the mezzanine above the kitchen and when breakfast started I couldn't sleep anymore. In the bathroom I found slugs. The cleanliness left much to be desired. For the backpacker environment super buena onda and all but for the price I paid there are better options in Puerto Varas
Tuvimos varios problemas con la reserva, no nos dieron el recibo. Además al momento de querer hablar con el dueño, nunca estuvo disponible. Nos dijeron que nos iban a contactar de vuelta, y no fue así.
Security - individual lockers were available, BYO lock. Location is a bit far from buses and town - need an uber or taxi to get to bus terminals. Staff weren't around in the morning when I needed to find where the bus to Pucon departed from. Clean hostel and clean kitchen. Was there just one night so unsure of atmosphere but got the vibe this place is for people in their early 20s and younger. Probably avoid if in early 30s.

The man hostess was quite rude and unhelpful. I did not feel welcome or respected. Beds were comfy and clean, blankets were good. Kitchen was too small, it made it hard to cook at the same time as others. The doors are fussy.
Impeccably clean, with great bedding. The volunteers were very welcoming too. Though there's plenty of common space, the layout isnt the most social as everyone sits at separate tables

Special place. Amazing house + garden, great facilities and a perfect kitchen/lounge social area. Staff fostered a great family spirit cooking meals to share with them. Extended a few times, you probably will too.
It was a super nice stay for a little while, the installations where beautiful, everything was clean and nice. For me personally, I decide to stay in hostels because it allows me to meet new people and create more connexions in my life, and in this particular property I found it difficult to do this in difference with other hostels. I felt that it was lacking some instances or events for people to meet and get to know each other. It's mainly a personal thing, so apart from that, lovely stay.
This was nice but is quite far out of the centre of town. Beds in dorm room are very squeaky and the position of the plug sockets means sometimes you can't charge next to your bed. Wanted to come for a couple of days to relax but I think the owners(?) had their young son with them a lot and he was quite loud running about the property. No laundry service and the nearest one charges $4.600 per kilo so wash elsewhere first!

Perfect chilled and sociable hostel. Super clean and comfortable, cool location by the lake with a garden, shops and food trucks nearby. Great place to use as a base.

Loved this place, properly family vibe hostel
Lovely hostel, large but cosy social spaces and a beautiful big garden. About a half an hour walk from town but is right by the lake and there are a few restaurants, cafes and mini markets super close by. The 10 bed dorm is really spacious and the beds & bedding are by far the comfiest I’ve had in my travels. Thank you Elly for a wonderful stay!
very nive hostel a bit far from city center but you can take a bus to every wherw you need, staff are very nice and place feels like a big family house
We loved our stay in Casa Apel! It is such a cozy hostel with a beautiful, large common area that invites to socialise. We met so many great fellow travelers and spent time all together. Also, the gardens are amazing! On top of that, Ely is such an amazing host and makes everyone feel at home. Thank you so much, Ely, for creating such a nice place for everyone. We will be back one day!

Lovely place and very nice people. My only problem was its location, but to be honest a cheap uber inter centre is all you need. Great stay!

The property was the cleanest andhad best quality beds and linen I've experienced in the last 3 months. There were good spaces to hang out and socialize or not. Staff were friendly and kind though I don't speak Spanish so unfortunately I couldn't communicate much with staff.
Really great hostel! The 10 bed bunk room is spacious, and the kitchen and common areas were great. Fantastic bed, was so comfortable! A little far (about 25min walk) to main downtown area, but is located close to lake and there is a small Mercado and a few restaurants nearby
There is really no negative aspects of this hostel. One of the cosiest atmospheres you can find in the hostel with clean facilities and comfortable beds. Amazing owner and good wifi as well. 100% recommend.
Great stay, cosy hostel makes you feel like you’re in Elena’s home. Comfy beds, great showers, big kitchen and loads of space for chilling and eating. Was overall a wonderful stay!
Je devais rester 2 nuits, je suis restée 5 nuits ! Merveilleuse auberge au lit très confortable. Le décors de cabane est accueillant et Ely qui manage les lieux veille sur nous et nous aide à gérer tous nos petits tracas. Possibilité de faire laver son linge, un gros plus. Ce n’est pas immédiatement dans le centre mais il y a tout ce qu’il faut alentour. J’ai adoré mon séjour dans cette auberge où j’ai rencontré beaucoup d’autres voyageurs, en particulier des français.
I was supposed to stay 2 nights, I stayed 5 nights ! Wonderful hostel with very comfortable bed. The cabin decor is welcoming and Ely who manages the place watches over us and helps us manage all our little hassles. Possibility to have his laundry washed, a big plus. It is not immediately in the center but there is everything around. I loved my stay in this hostel where I met many other travelers, especially French.
One of my favourite hostels I’ve stayed at in South America. It has such a nice, cosy atmosphere and it’s so clean. Would definitely recommend!

das casa apel hostel war das hostel, das ich bisher am besten ausgestattet fand und von den räumlichkeiten am wohlsten. der 10er schlafsaal ist wirklich optimal und angenehm! die bäder werden oft gereinigt und sind sehr hübsch :) es ist nur etwas schwierig manchmal die haustür mit dem code zu nutzen 🫣 ansonsten aber echt top und das personal super lieb!
The 10th bedroom is really optimal and pleasant! the beds are often cleaned and are very pretty :) it's just a bit difficult sometimes to use the front door with the code otherwise but echt top and the staff super lieb!
