Halong Almor Homestay & Hostel

Private room looked nothing like the photos. Was really looking forward to windows but instead placed in the centre of the building, no windows except for 1 leading to the common space where loud music and yelling occurred at all hours. Lights shown in our room from door. Sheets + blankets not washed & can confirm this because we left for half hour, checked out, came back and the door to our room was open. the bed was made with all the same bedding. And the duvets stunk. Staff weren’t great.

Hostel under construction, none at reception and very dirty

We were given the wrong room with less beds for the same price. There were bugs in the bathroom shower gel dispenser.

Hostel was veel minder mooi dan op de foto’s en andere recensies stond aangegeven. Kamers waren oud en vies. De wasbak in onze kamer was kapot en al het vieze water lekte op de vloer. De wc stond half onder de douche geplaatst, dus werd volledig nat zodra je ging douchen. Er was geen spiegel, waarop de eigenaar nog vroeg of wij die soms hadden meegenomen? Bed was hard en je voelde de veren zodra je omdraaide. Na een nacht mochten we van kamer wisselen, die wel iets beter was.

Franchement pas terrible, c’est ok mais pas fou. La piscine est vide, les lits ne sont pas confortables et le petit déjeuner qui n’est pas compris dans le prix est assez décevant. J’avoue que je m’attendais à un petit peu mieux sans que ce soit catastrophique non plus. On va dire qu’il me semble facile de trouver mieux pour le même prix

The room was okay. The bathroom was not very clean and the mattresses were very hard and had mould on them. The pool was drained of water so could not use. Good location. Cheap stay

The room is clean and the bed was comfortable. However, water temperatures were very inconsistent and had a few cold showers, and the room did feel a bit damp. We also ran out of toilet roll and had to go find someone to get more, but nobody was there. The host is lovely but the place needs some more attention.

Pretty mid stay. Pool was half empty so couldn’t use, room had to be upgraded to a private as they had run out of dorms but our bookings were accepted. Had to pay extra for this. Hostel was very quiet and nothing really going on.

The hotel was decent but it wasn’t that clean, the room was kind of run down and the sheets had a lot of stains and felt used. The staff where really kind and helpful and was pretty much the only good thing about our stay.

I planned to stay here for 1 night but the room was beautiful. the area is perfect especially if you want to visit sun world or use the zipline. it is a 2 minute walk. also has a circle k, loads of other shops and resturants. I did plan to go to a hotel for a few days but I didn't need to as the room was great. the host hana helped me book a boat cruise and even drove me to the port. the whole stay has been great and I would recommend to anyone and everyone :)

Très bon personnel, familial bon service

Det var perfekt for oss for tre netter. Man får masse for pengene, vennlig og forståelsesfullt vertskap. Vi kunne sjekke inn 4 på natten. Tusen takk❤️

is ok for one night but didn’t feel very safe because the rooms have huge glass windows open for anyone in the hallway to look into (you have curtains but not able to close 100%) and the door in the hotel is always open i think

It was a good stay, a lot of construction at the time so was loud at parts but didn’t effect us much! Overall a nice place.

Great location stay and knowledgeable host. We came here thinking there was a pool but it had sadly been drained for the off season, we didn’t see any mention of this and the picture was still up. It was mentioned the rooms are cheaper because of this when we asked. Didn’t eat there as there was an awesome vegan cafe just a few doors down. Minutes walk from the theme park which was super cool. We had a great bright room and were able to check in late at 4am which was such a relief :)

Richtig schöne Zimmer mit kleinem Balkon. Frühstück muss man für einen kleinen Preis extra bezahlen.

Nice place for me to walk down to the port for the Ha Long Bay tour. 10 min walk to the port. The staff helped me with everything I needed. Laundry, bus to Ninh Binh with pick up from the hostel. Very helpful staff and the room was nice with good aircondition.

This is such a great place, it feels like at home. Hostel is very spacy, it reminds me of an European loft. Room was big, clean, bed was comfortable. Hana is a great host, she speaks English well, she's very helpful, organized a great Ha Long Bay boat cruise for me. I trully recommend this place.

De uitbaatster is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam! Flexibele inchecktijd en alle nodige voorzieningen, wat ons verblijf heel aangenaam maakte.

Such a wonderful family running this homestay/hostel. They really do go an extra mile to help you with tours, planning or whatever you need. The owner of the hostel ended up booking our boat tour and a luxury bus back to Hanoi after. When there was delays on the boat, the hostel owner fixed everything between us and the bookings.

Really enjoyed my stay here would highly recommend their private rooms. Location is fantastic with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops close by.

The Almor hosts were incredibly helpful with booking our Ha Long Bay boat tour, Bus ticket to Ninh Binh, and Ha Giang Loop tour. They were incredibly knowledgeable and had alot of advice for places to see and stay. Highly recommend staying here as the service was incredible.
