DON’T go there! The owner is very aggressive, and even BETRAYED us! There is NO socialising atmosphere!! He charges you for everything, even baggage storage, and as he even told us, he just wants to make money. There is no breakfast, no kitchen, not even a free tea. After we criticised politely one price he charged us, he got very aggressive and unfriendly, just behaved like a narcissist! Then he CANCELLED our stay online, so that we can’t review our stay! Big fail! Also, we got sick afterw...

piss poor hostel -- there's a gross old man walking around shirtless all the time, out in the middle of nowhere, just weird bad vibes. Don't go.

Sehr ruhiges Hostel eher am Rande von Shkodër. Schöner außen Bereich mit tollen Sitzmöglichkeiten. Leider gab es keine Küche und auch weder Frühstück noch Abendessen und keine geplanten Aktivitäten. Gut für Paare oder kleine Gruppen, die es gerne entspannt mögen. Als Solo- traveller würde ich es eher nicht empfehlen.

Such an odd vibe. Stayed for two nights in the middle of August and was alone in a six person room for almost the entire time. The whole place is devoid of people, staff included. Good facilities and beds. No kitchen so you can’t really store or eat your own food. Location is pretty far from everything. If you’re looking to do nothing by yourself for a night, then this is the place for you.

Overall an okay hostel - absolutely okay, but not more. The dorm rooms are basic and clean, they have AC and a lockable nightstand. A towel is provided. Simple beds, no curtains or something of this sort. Staff came in at around 06:30/07:00 to take out bedsheets and to turn off AC. No kitchen, but a fridge is available. The garden is nice for reading, etc. They provide bike rental, laundry, organize trips to Theth, etc. Hostel is not remote but also not central (10-15min walking). Quiet at night

A little bit of a funky stay. The hostel was clean and the outdoor space was nice but the guy working at the front desk was a little off putting throughout my stay. On my last day there I had stored my bags and when I went to pick them up I realized I forgot my wallet at the restaurant around the corner, they were quite rude about the situation, when I finally got my wallet back and paid for the bags they seemed to almost roll their eyes at me.

Overall, it was a good place. It's owned by a family, so you get a homely vibe. Although it's quite far from the city center, you can take a 15min walk. The facilities were clean, and the dorm was comfortable, with air con and a provided towel. However, the WiFi was not very stable. I'm giving it a 7.4 because the man at the frontdesk, he had a lot of energy, which sometimes I found it kinda overwhelming. He also made comments about my country which made me feel really uncomfortable.

Die Private Rooms sind süße kleine Holzhäuschen, die glücklicherweise auch eine Klimaanlage haben. Man kann für den Valbona-Teth Hike Transport und Unterkünfte buchen. Auch Trips zum Shala river sind möglich, aber leider ist beides nicht kombinierbar. Leider muss man pro Tag Gepäckaufbewahrung 2€ zahlen, auch wenn man dort vorher/ nachher schläft…

I had a very great time there! My room was very spacious with a locker next to the bed. Shared spaces were really clean. I didn’t go but there was a bbq organized for dinner for who ever wanted to share a moment with other guests. I would have appreciated a kitchen 👍🏼 People at the reception can help you plan your next day(s) especially if you want to go to the North and have a cruise on Komani lake!

Beautiful hostel, the family that run it are so lovely and helpful. Would definitely recommend to others. Perfect location too, close to the centre and still quiet.

Hostel a 15min a pied du centre ville, des petits commerces sont juste a coté si besoin. L’hôte était très souriant et agréable, le lieu est sympathique.

We had a really nice and funny stay. We enjoyed our time in Shkoder and with the help of the friendly host we had an amazing experience. Klausi was friendly and booked the hike for us, we didn't had to worry about anything! The room and the bathroom were clean and we would recommend The Hood Hostel definitely. Really enjoyed my stay here was in a great location and great value for money. Big shout out to klaus host for making our stay here as good as it was. He was very informative on things to do here whilst also be very friendly and accomodation. Could not fault our stay here would 100% recommend to anyone staying here

Clause was extremely accommodating- I arrived at 2:00am and was able to make it to my bed. Friendly hosts, nice bathroom/shower and comfy beds. You can also rent a bike for cheap which is a big bonus. I came in the slow season so it wasn’t busy but I’m sure during the summer the lawn area will be a blast.

Amazing Hostel a lot of activities as hike to the alps ,days trips ,events in the hostel. Best hostel so far ❤️

I really enjoyed staying in this hostel! Even though it was the end of the season, so there weren’t many other travellers, the owners made us feel welcome and helped us to have the best time!! We also booked our trip to Valbone/Theth through here.

Brilliant hostel. Very clean, very comfy, friendly atmosphere. Klaus was a fantastic host who helped us arrange 2 x tours. He went out of his way many times to help us. No if, buts or maybes - he’s the best in the world mate.

Klaus and his parents are lovely people. We had a great time!

Sehr gechillte Atmosphäre, wunderschöner Garten herzliche GastgeberInnen. Als die Mutter bemerkt hat, dass mir die vorherige Nacht kalt war, hab ich noch eine Decke bekommen. Klaus ist ein sehr lustiger host und hält die Unterhaltungsrunden am Abend im Garten am Leben. Sehr entspannte Atmosphäre und gut zum Runterkommen, vor allem wenn man einen Trip nach Valbona/Theth vor hat, den man übrigens sehr gut gemeinsam mit dem Hostel organisieren kann.

Super quiet area that's a few minutes' walk from the heart of Shkoder. The yard is a great casual area to hang out, and Klaus is super fun and helpful. Luggage storage while I was hiking was a huge plus!

We had a great stay! The place is super cute and has a chilled atmosphere and a good vibe! We met nice people and the transportation and accomodation for the hike Valbona to Theth was organized for us. Restaurants were closeby and the main streets with many bars/restaurants could be reached within like 10/15 minutes of walking. Only downside is that there is no kitchen to cook.

Loved staying here. Klaus is super helpful, took care of booking everything I needed for the Valbona-Teth hike. Held my luggage for that time also, and he's just a riot! Highly recommend staying here in Shkoder

I didn’t stay long at this location but it was nice and clean and it felt comfortable. They had bikes to rent for the day for €5, the bikes were very run down but did the job to get me to the lake. There were only 2 bathrooms inside with a shower and I believe one outside but I never had to wait too long to be able to get into one of them.
