Mayan Monkey Isla Mujeres

Never probably come here again, the girl I travel with got a welcome drink, we both arrived and checked in together, the bartender and front desk told me no 😂 they just said sorry, no. Great service, 2nd Mayan monkey I’ve been too. Both suck

Couldnt sleep in my own room and they told me they would refund my stay, the never did. They put me in some random other room without being able to, or atleast offer, a way to brush my teeth. Ignoring me for a couple of weeks now.

Doordat het aan een beach bar is gelegen zijn de prijzen helaas enorm hoog. Helaas niet wat je verwacht van een hostel.. Een water was 110 pesos, een pizza avocado was 300 pesos. Zelfs als je in het hostel verblijft is er geen mogelijkheid op een korting... De activiteiten die het hostel deed waren mateloos toen ik er was. Personeel van de receptie was wel super vriendelijk! Ik mocht na een dagje strand nog een douche nemen zonder probleem. Helaas ligt ook alles ver van het hostel af..

S**t place book anywhere else on isla mujhers

It was a whole dirt show pillow, bed sheets, floor with hair and chewing gum. Roof was leaking from the rain. Restaurant workers do nothing but chill people had to wait almost an hour sometimes. Receptiok people don't understand english. we ended up cancelling after the first 3 nights. we even paid extra for breakfast for the days we weren't even there anymore and i don't know if we ever see that money again.

Positiv: der Strand und die Atmosphäre am Beach Club ist super schön. Sehr privat und genug Liegen! Negativ: das Frühstück ist leider gar nicht gut, die Zimmer sind extrem dunkel (Privatzimmer) und befinden sich auf der andere Straßenseite des eigentlichen hostels. Auf Grund des Restaurants welches direkt an die Zimmer grenzt ist es bis spät nachts extrem laut. Leider würde ich, trotz des schönes Strandes, das Hostel nicht weiterempfehlen.

My room was comfortable, spacious and was cleaned thoroughly each day. The staff were kind and helpful. My air conditioner only worked part of the time and the fan did not work. I had to request the maintenance folks fix my lights that would not turn on, but they couldn’t fix the AC or fan. The pool was under maintenance for the entirety of my trip, so I could not swim and the construction was LOUD in the early AM. Thankfully, when I complained, I was given a free 24 rental on a golf cart.

Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. The kitchen was being renovated and there was no information about it. Instead, we were told it would be ready "tomorrow". That was not true. After I did a bulk purchase, I was not given the opportunity to prepare my food. Instead, I was told again and again that I could order something in the restaurant. The rooms were clean and the activities were fun, especially with Javier (snorkelling) and Nerea (yoga). The Hostel is located outside the city cente...

Very beautiful resort style property right on the beach, loved the saxophone player at sunset. Definitely doesn’t feel like the most social hostel but there is activities to do. The kitchen could use some improvements, just 2 electric burners are really a joke when you look at how fancy everything else is… but I’m guessing they want the guests to prioritise spending $$ at the overpriced restaurant ahah Location, out of town and need taxi to go and move around

Buen lugar para descansar

This hostel is so amazing. Right on a calm, clear blue waterfront. No seaweed like a lot of the places in mexico. In a quieter area of isla mujeres, but close to lots of restaurants and the big grocery store. Rented a bicycle and rode all over the island with ease.

Superbe endroit, nous étions une famille de 4 et avons séjourné 2 nuits, superbe endroit avec un personnel très agréable. Nous recommandons à 200% cet endroit.

We had such a lovely stay at Mayan Monkey Isla Mujeres. We stayed there longer than originally planned, but it was such a chill vibe, the staff was extremely nice and helpful, the whole hostel was really clean and we felt safe during our stay. It‘s not too close to the center but that made it even better since it‘s not as crowded. We will definitely be back!

Me encantó este Hostel, superó todas mis espectativas!!!! El lugar es un encanto, ideal para descansar. La playa está divina, las instalaciones super lindas y cuidadas, el personal desde el momento del check in muy atentos y amables! Las comidas del restaurante muy ricas, las clases y actividades que ofrecen suman bastante a la experiencia y el ambiente en gral muy bueno. Recomiendo 10/10 :)

Es un lugar precioso, hay mucha vegetación, el mar es una alberca infinita. Los desayunos están bien servicios y muy ricos. La tención muy cálida por parte de todos.

Not the typical hostel experience! I mean the place is great but has more of a luxurious couples retreat vybe that a place for backpackers! Maybe it was the timing of my stay as well. Staff is not super welcoming.

The rooms are good, beds are comfy and the bar and pool area are really good. My only problem was I was never charged the same amount for any drinks and they would add their own tip as part of the price and then ask for another tip. Felt like I was scammed quite a bit by multiple members of staff which was disappointing

This is probably the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in. Super comfortable clean dorms. It's also a beach club/restaurant so different people visit throughout the day and evening. The location is gorgeous, perfect if you just want to chill on the beach all day and have a beer. The vibe was relaxed but it was easy to socialize and make friends. Stunning hostel with a private beach; it really felt like a resort or beach club. The beds were super comfy and was great to have a free towel to use too. My en-suite dorm had 2 toilets, 2 showers and 2 sinks, which felt like a luxury. Only downside to this hostel is it’s far away from the centre

Love this property right on the beach, with a great vibe, live DJ at times, lots of beach cabanas to relax, fabulous dock to enjoy sunsets or yoga. Staff is really nice and chill. Impressed by cleaning twice a day in rooms. Been back at least 5 times I like it so much!

Everything was very good,clean, comfortable, amazing facilities,cordial staff and the atmosphere was great. Definitely coming back

Rooms are big and bar and restaurant are great. As much as I would have loved to give them more the water issue was not ok. We had a private room and the water was on and off for 2 out of the 3 days we stayed there. The first morning it kept going off and even though we reported it someone said they would come but they never did. We got back that night again to no water to wash our face or brush our teeth and again told reception and nothing happened no explanation.
