Phangan Arena

500 characters is simply not enough. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again. Had 3 nights booked initially but ended up only staying the 1 night. It is as run down as you could imagine, the pool is virtually green and the hostel itself is filthy throughout, absolutely no TLC or care has gone into it. Ended up leaving there feeling dirty myself! Location isn’t bad but that’s about it. Not to mention the bedbugs as well.

The worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Was the only girl in a 16 bed dorm, smelt like sewage, toilets never clean, no curtains on beds, staff were rude. Yeah horrid icl. Could do with a qualified cleaner and a bit of room spray 😃

Arena trifft es vielleicht, wenn man gegen Hygiene, Geruch und Sicherheitsstandards kämpafen möchte.Die Vorhänge waren dekorativ verschimmelt, die Bettdecken hatten Flecken, bei denen man lieber nicht wissen will, aus welchem Jahrzehnt sie stammen, und der Boden sah aus, als hätte er seit Full Moon 2012 keinen Kontakt mehr mit einem Wischmopp gehabt. AVOID! Worst hostel I’ve stayed in. Rooms absolutely STINK, I don’t think they have ever been cleaned, mattress was broken (springs all under the bed where they’ve come out) staff rude and un helpful

The hostel is very large and not properly maintained, so it's unhygienic. The social atmosphere is unpleasant. Even though it is cheaper than other party hostels, it's still too expensive for what ir offers.

Stayed here for the full moon party and let’s just say I’ve never stayed at a more unhygienic hostel. It’s cheap and good value for money during full moon if you don’t mind mold on the beds, the bedding not being changed between different guests, dirty bathrooms and one toilet in a 16 bed dorm. It’s definitely social if that’s what you are looking for… but at what cost.

Beds and pillows covered in mold, ant infested rooms. Beds squeaked at the slightest movement. Overall not a clean place. Staff were nice and food was good at least

Ik heb nog nooit in zo’n vies hostel geslapen. De douches waren ijskoud en het water stond minimaal 10cm hoog. Als wij naar de toilet moeten liepen we maar naar een resort in de straat omdat de wc’s te vies voor woorden waren. Er zat poep overal, er waren overigens ook maar 2 wc’s voor vrouwen en 2 voor mannen. Wij hadden een privé kamer: geen airco, geen raam, muffe lucht en kapotte handdoeken met vlekken erop… Ga hier niet heen!!

Pour une nuit c’était déjà difficile. Salles de bains pas nettoyées. Il y avait des moustiques dans chaque cabine de douche . Pas de quoi installer ses affaires. Les toilettes étaient degueulasses et les dortoirs sentaient la transpiration. On a préféré dormir à l’extérieur près de la piscine avec mon frère. Si c’est pour une nuit ça peut passer, nous y étions pour la full moon mais impossible de rester plus.

The price is low so the quality follows … No curtains, Trembling beds. You need a bike to more around from there, Old people are there (like really old), Doors always open, No cleaning is made … Again, the price is really low so its not a surprise but if youre looking for safety and confort you should probably don’t go there. If you don’t care then thats your place to stay !

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed at The facilities in the female dorms are excellent it’s an all women building, which made me feel very safe. The bed is comfortable, and the bathrooms are clean. And if you’re looking to make friends this is definitely the place to stay. There’s beer pong every night and it’s super easy to meet people here the location is great you can easily access all the beaches by scooter, there’s a Lotus’s just a 1min walk away and a 7/11 2min away

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING 1. The noise, we were in a privet room the music was loud but it does cut off at 12am however doesn’t mean the people do. To the girl in room 4 having loud sex at 2am and 3am (15 march) walls are very thin. 2. It says on the website “we don’t allow people over 35 because of previous reasons” so we thought would it would be good for young people me and my friends were the one of only girls there surrounded by men that look like they have a wife and kids...

For the price I paid it was okay. But the door lock didn’t worked, the sink was clogged for over a day. The showers were nasty. And the atmosphere was okay.

Die günstigsten Zimmer waren echt schlimm! Sind dann in das etwas teurere umgezogen und das war echt gut, das Personal war auch sehr lieb, aber sonst eher nicht so empfehlenswert :/

Tolle Atmosphäre, viele neue Kontakte und sehr gute Ausstattung.

El hostal es bueno y a precio accesible , el personal es amable ! La infraestructura genial! Con piscina, restaurante, bar, Villar (taco) con gusto regresó nuevamente! Pero no le doy un 10 xq la limpieza puede mejorar, mi dormitorio era limpiado cada día pero sólo cambian camas, el baño olía muy mal y asi se quedó. Tampoco me tocó locker en mi dormitorio y al final alguien me abrió la mochila y sacaron algunas cosas, no las llevaron pero las dejaron fuera tiradas en el piso.

I think hostel is so good location

Fine for full moon as it’s cheaper than the other options but I wouldn’t really recommend otherwise. Bathroom was filthy and didn’t seem to get cleaned often. Took me 3 trips to reception to get my bed bc they kept sending me to beds that were already occupied. There was also a hostel rep staying in our dorm (#45) who snapped at us to stop talking at 11am bc he was still sleeping which was ridiculous lol, that was the final straw that made us decide to leave a review. Thank you

went for the full moon party so it was a crazy party atmosphere. upcharged i think because of the parties for what the hostel was. no curtains on beds, rooms not very clean, but good for a party with pool (pay for it) pong, and loads of nice people

Absolute sesh hostel. Always music and always people at the bar. Very busy especially around the full moon party. Beds were not too good with no curtains or privacy at all, as well as no where to store you bag. Very social and fun for a few nights max.

Overall, stay was okay. You pay for what you get. Room was not ready at 2pm, and I had to ask for it to be done at 3:30pm. Not the friendliest of staff but okay. Toilets smelt, no cutains on bunk beds, and mosquitos EVERYWHERE Plenty of opportunity for entertainment at a charge. Motorcycle hire was cheaper for one day than a close by retailer. Bike was good quality.
