Moustache Hostel Jaisalmer

The majority of staff were unfriendly. The dorm had a leaking toilet and the toilet area was rarely cleaned. Desert tour was over priced and the camels under fed. Disappointing.

I stayed in a 6 bed dorm. Terrace, garden and everything around was fine. The room itself was okay. It was obviously not as beautiful as the entrance area which I also expected. I was not so happy about the bathroom attached to the room. It was located at the end of the room and had neither a window nor ventilation. The room itself was also not ideally ventilated, as it was equipped only with a fan above the door pumping the air more or less in a circle. Additional to that the sink in the bathr...

Overall a mediocre hostel, especially for the price. Ants/cockroachs in the room, bathroom has a weird smell, staff asking for tips for doing nothing. 95% of people staying there are Indian tourists and families which is fine but not a great hostel vibe for solo travellers. On the plus side there was a good view of the fort and only a 5 minute walk away...

Even if it was high season.. paying 1.600 for a dorm room with a dirty bathroom and broken lockers is far from reasonable. It is one of the worst hostels according to price-performance ratio I stayed in in 1.5 years travelling.

It's a nice place, well situated, and the staff is kind. However he had some issues with the guy in charge, he wasn't comprehensive when we complained about the dormitory they put us in after the safari organised by the hostel. The dorm was a disaster : moist on the walls, pigeon nest in the air vent, pigeon s*** on the toilet below, bathroom's ceiling falling into pieces. The only solution given was to go in a mixed dorm (even if we booked a non mixed one), and no apologies given.

nice location, staff barely speaks english so not much support there, so thats definitely a big point for the hostel to work on.

Not great. Staff looks like they couldn't care less about you. My pillow was dirty so I asked for a clean one and he just swapped my pillow with a pillow on someone else's bed. Sheets didn't look clean either. The food in the restaurant tasted like raw garlic? Overall wouldn't recommend. View is indeed great but there are plenty of places with nice rooftops

Very helpful staff, excellent location, and a very clean room. I lost my luggage in Jaisalmer and the staff helped me recover it by providing a driver to take me to the airport and by speaking with the airline’s call center on my behalf. Highly recommended!

Liked the stay. Mostly using the common room as i stayed in the dunes for the night, which is good. Staffs are good.

A wonderful property just outside the fort walls and beautiful castle like ambience inside the hostel too .. courteous staff ..

The facilities are great, with spacious bathrooms and comfortable dorms. However, the staff's service could be improved.

Without a doubt the best hostel I've stayed in India (in 4 trips totalling nearly 12 months). It's incredibly nice looking and the best part is it's CLEAN. By clean I mean, European standard of clean. Fresh bedsheets that smell fresh, with quality linen. Can't speak highly enough of the accommodation, STAY HERE! There's also a cute little golden pup 👌 The only criticism would be of the restaurant, the food is pretty bad.

I stayed at Moustache,Jaisalmer recently. I was welcomed by a very friendly gentleman Abhishek. They say it’s a land of smiles and I didn’t see one staff of this hostel without a smile,ever. The rooms were super comfortable. I was visiting Jaisalmer and Abhishek was very welcoming and helped with navigation and recommended amazing places to go out and have fun. The tours Moustache organised were super awesome, especially the dessert safari. Loved the vibe overall . Thanks Abhishek & Team

Bon séjour à Moustache Jaisalmer, mis à part le réveil par de nouveaux « colocataires » à 5h30 du matin ! Nous avons fait un court safari dans le désert qui était génial !

Nice hostel, good location and nice rooftop terrace. Only negitives were that there wasn’t much atmosphere and the rooms weren’t that nice.

Ótima opção de hostel em Jaisalmer! O hostel é lindo. Peguei um quarto privativo, super bonito e limpo. Localização também é ótima, perto do forte. Reservei para fazer o passeio do deserto com a equipe do hostel, conheci muito gente do bem. Recomendo!

Great hostel in Jaisalmer. Building is beautiful with a great cafe and rooftop area. Dorms are clean and comfortable. Location is great for the fort and the desert safari they run is an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone travelling in Rajasthan. Well priced as well. Highly recommended.
