Dalat May House

I supposed to stay two days, but end up just stay 1 night. The house is huge. Looks like it was some kind of school in the past. Just next secondary waste warehouse and shop for filling gas bottles. Beds not the cleanest half sintetic sheets. Not a even liquid or any kind of soup in female dorm. when I asked for that, I was give liquid for washing dishes.The bathroom is in the dorm room so all bad smells stays in. The hostel is very basic far from the center.

I wasn’t satisfied with my stay at this hostel. The place is beautiful, but the owners constantly push guests to join their activities and buy extra services. If you’re not interested, you can feel their disappointment. In almost every conversation they ask about tours or transport. They are friendly, but it feels more like sales pressure. Other guests felt the same

Don't know why it has so many points in the page, it was sooo loud, not so clean, the breakfast was terrible

Les propriétaires sont très accueillants, l'auberge est grande avec son charme. Personnellement, j'ai demandé à changer de chambre à cause du bruit côté route mais l'établissement reste mal insonorisé.J'ai séjourné plusieurs nuits et parfois je n'avais pas d'eau chaude non plus malheureusement. Cela reste une bonne adresse surtout si vous souhaitez rencontrer du monde.

loved our stay at May House. Family were so welcoming and friendly. Family dinner was great to socialise. We also booked on a tour through the hostel which was fab. Bathroom in female dorm had a bad smell and we ran out of toilet paper and handsoap but ok!

Die Zimmer sind sauber mit bequemen Betten. Die Unterkunft bietet eine gut ausgestattete gemeinschafts Küche. Die Unterkunft befindet sich außerhalb des Zentrums. Das sollte einem bewusst sein, also am besten Roller mieten.

Such a lovely family, make you feel so welcomed. The breakfast was delicious and close to town so perfect.

Les + : les chambres sont bien et sentent bon (nous avons été dans celle en bois). Le personnel est super gentil, avenant, très disponible. Organisation de « family dinner » une super bonne idée. Les - : je trouve que le family dinner tous les 2 jours semble trop, on sent l’épuisement que cela leur demande et même si j’imagine que ça apporte de l’argent de faire cela je pense que ça perd le côté moment de partage. Les salles de bains collectives avec les toilettes dedan...

Nice hostel and staff are friendly, bathroom lack essentials such as soap etc and really overcharge for bus services

Als ich recht früh angekommen bin, wurde mir schon ab 11 Uhr mein Zimmer angeboten. Die Zimmer sind richtig schön und groß. Die Gastgeber waren mir nur manchmal etwas zu aufdringlich und ich hatte das Gefühl möglichst viele Touren über sie buchen zu müssen.

Great place to stay if you're in Da Lat. We had a private room which was quiet, clean with great facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed saying here, the owners are amazing. We booked all our trips and transportation during our stay at the hostel. We'd highly recommend it you're looking for a calm place to stay. We were happy with the location, quick grab bike to wherever you need to go. We'll be back if we return to Da Lat, thanks!

Such a beautiful and lovely place to stay at. Never experienced such kindness while staying at a hostel. The family dinner was outstanding and the atmosphere welcoming and friendly. Would recommend everyone to stay there. Rooms are clean and comfortable as well. All in all 5 star experience.

Best hostel I have stayed in SEA, the staff are absolutely amazing, family dinners are wonderful and bring people together. The hostel felt like my actual home. I lost my bracelet 20 minutes before a sleeper bus and they found it in minutes. The tours are great, I decided to do the motorcycle day tour and it was fantastic. Beds were super comfy, didn’t see any bugs except maybe a little moth in the bathroom. But honestly the staff was the best, really made me feel welcome.

Huan and Lee are the most sincere and loving host you could ever imagine. They take great care of their house which also functions as the hostel. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and in a walking distance from nice coffee places and restaurants. Lee and Huan organize trips from the hostel so really recommend to do one of them! They also organize family dinners every other day, super cozy and lovely!

Really welcoming hostel. The family are so kind and the family dinners gave you the chance to meet other travellers. Good rooms too. You will be warmly welcomed here.

Incredible homestay! My best yet in Vietnam. Really lovely staff who are always on hand to help and give you advice. I was ill when for the first night I stayed here and the owners went out of their way to make sure I was okay. Couldn’t recommend a homestay more! 10/10

The family who own the hostel seem lovely but the location wasn’t great and there was zero atmosphere.

The hostel was so well run, it honestly feels more like a home. The family who run this hostel are so welcoming and friendly! They make sure to include everyone! Family dinner was excellent, met lots of lovely people! The tour I went on through the hostel was great, lots of fun and varied too! Honestly had the best time here, highly recommend staying!

One of the best hostels I have stayed in! Me and my boyfriend had a private room which was so cozy and very clean. The family running the hostel is amazing, so kind and helpful and they really make you feel like a part of the family. They also his family dinners which are so social and nice. It is a social hostel but not a party hostel which is perfect. They were also really helpful in ordering a bus for us to go to Hoi An. Would definitely come back here.

It’s a really lovely place to stay. Made many a friend and the staff could not be more helpful.

We had an incredible time at Dalat May House! So warm and welcoming and the family dinner was absolutely incredible. Great location. Dorms are clean and comfortable, only down side was one bathroom between 10 in a dorm so sometimes had to wait but wasn’t a big deal. 10/10 would absolutely love to return! Thank you so much 🤍

i loved it and stayed way longer than i thought at the beginning. the family dinner is nice to socalise and very yummy. At all the Mayhouse has a very chilled, social, lovely atmosphere. it is not a party hostel. But if you want to you can find some people and explore the nightlife of dalat

We loved our stay at May House. The owners were so lovely and the family dinner was a great way to meet people! The room was clean and really comfortable. The only thing we did find was that the shower was often cold.
