Stained bed linens (god knows what) and cockroaches rummaging around the kitchen to start with. Then the door to the room went in to temporary deadlock which was stressful enough since you could not get a hold of someone managing the place. The second time I really needed to get in contact the toilet was backed up. This could of course been caused by another guest, but still a quick way of contact would be helpful.
