Sjømannskirken Narvik

Not very good. The rooms weren’t clean and had used cigarette budds in them. Hairs on the bedding, suggesting no cleaning was done which is odd because nobody else was staying there. The staff were friendly however no complaints there

Kitchen was dirty, staff thought unpaid person was using facility, seemed poorly maintained.

Terrible experience. Manager was rude and walked away mid-conversation during a booking issue. Later, he tried to charge my card 3 times without informing me—unauthorized and illegal. I stayed till 3 PM next day just to ask, but he never showed up. Beds were extremely shaky—if someone turns below, the top bunk moves badly. As a travel blogger who’s stayed in hostels across the world, this was the worst. Shameful hospitality. Avoid if you value respect and sleep.

Liked the complimentary breakfast and different lounge areas and new shower room for women. Not a party hostel which is good for me. Bunks new with curtains. Bedding new & fresh. Think they need more toilets

Perfect for a stop in Narvik ! Facilities have everything you need. Breakfast buffet included in the morning is amazing and the staff was nice.

Great place to stay on a budget, they really do make it as nice as they can and each bunk has complete light shut out curtains. Nice little view on the porch as well. The included breakfast was actually really good and the main guy working there was incredibly friendly and nice, will be staying their again.

A sweet place and much more than just a hostel.It is a part of a complex including the Seamen's church, cafe, and a souvenir shop. The atmosphere is rather calm but depending on the season and the amount of other guests there is plenty of common area to socialize. The bed was extremely comfy, had curtains, and seemed somewhat wider than single beds normally. The breakfast was nice, especially considering the friendly price in Norwegian terms. The staff was helpful and friendly!

Overall a great stay, very clean and tidy, staff was lovely. The atmosphere felt a little bit too quiet, but I guess it was just that I had a different expectation.

Super clean place, super comfy beds, good kitchen for guests and good breakfast buffet. Really happy :)

Es ist kein Hotel, aber wenn man das im Hinterkopf behält, übertrifft die Unterkunft alle Erwartungen.

I really enjoyed my stay at Sjomennskirken. The hostel feels very warm and welcoming with a nice common area and large kitchen. Also, the dorm was very big and felt safe due to the curtains and relaxed athmosphere. Would definitely come back when being in Narvik.

I loved the atmosphere so much. This was actually one of the loveliest hostels I ever stayed at.

Not exactly close to the station but still a fine distance, nice and helpful staff, curtains on the beds and AC, slightly undersupplied kitchen, nice breakfast especially for it being included, shower and toilet situation not ideal but could be worse, dorms are not locked and the back door seems to stay open all night but since it‘s a quiet place it still seems safe enough. Good affordable option for Narvik!
