The only positive thing about this place was Ahmed. He was incredibly kind and welcoming, and we genuinely enjoyed our conversations with him. Unfortunately, the room and hallways had an unpleasant smell, the bathrooms were dirty, and the rooms themselves were not well maintained and moldy. The location, however, is convenient.

It was a very enjoyable experience. I was pleased with it and surprised by its cleanliness and protection there. I advise everyone to try it. The place is a masterpiece that represents the beautiful Moroccan style. Thank you, Bayt Alice. ❤️❤️☀️

DO NOT STAY HERE — THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE. I don’t even know where to begin. From the moment I stepped into this hostel, I knew something was off. The air smelled like mold and sewage. The receptionist — if you can call him that — looked at me like I had just murdered his cat. No greeting, no smile, just a dead-eyed glare and a barked, “Passport.” I tried to ask a question about check-out time and he sighed so loudly I thought she was going to pass out from the exertio

I hate to leave such a low review for this hostel because the staff was truly phenomenal. However, the beds are like sleeping on a cardboard box. The area does not seem safe at night. Moreover, the neighbors outdoors are incredibly loud, as well as the homeless people. I was not able to sleep either night that I stayed in the hostel due to the constant yelling by people outside until past 3:00 AM. Moroever, the shower in the ensuite fid not drain, despite following instructions in the bathroom.

It’s bad… because the guy at the reception was perfect! But we didn’t sleep NOTHING… The reception is at the second floor, like where you sleeping so each time someone arrived, they wake up you because of the sound, and they don’t have door and window so… Plus, the ring bell is strong and everywhere so of course each time a person arrived, they wake up every person on the room!

I’m confused as to how this hostel has such a high rating? The hostel is far from clean, there is no sound proofing for the rooms, and the beds are uncomfortable and creek every time you move an inch (waking everyone in the dorm up). Whilst there are security lockers, they are quite small and do not fit a rucksack, with no other options to store bags. The only positive thing I have to say about the hostel was the staff, who were very friendly and helpful. I would not recommend to others.

Worst bed I have ever had in a hostel. It’s super lumpy and I woke up in pain. It’s also hard to sleep because of the noise outside. People are loud until 3 am. They also don’t provide towels for every one even though it mentions that towels are provided. The employees are nice though and it was clean. Not sure how it’s so highly rated though.

No idea how this place has such a good rating, they must all be fake. Sketchy area, smelly dirty street. The whole house is very dark, no vibes and pretty creepy. Feels like a literal hole. Apart from the area the room was dark, cold and the bathroom smelly and looked like it had mould. Good rating in no way justified. Deserves a 5,0 max.

Awful stay Please save yourself from stress and avoid this property at all costs. Myself and two friends were filled with horror at the sheer dirt of the rooms, communal areas and toilets. Over our whole 5 day stay, no one cleaned the showers in our 7 person room. The whole hostel feels dusty, is very dark and the lack of communal areas makes it hard to socialise. No soap or towels were provided. The only positive of this hostel was the staff who were very helpful, nice and friendly.

10/10 Hostel

An amazing hostel with a beautiful terrace, free mint tea and coffee on the terrace served every morning! The best Wi-Fi I've ever had in a hostel (I'm a digital nomad that takes zoom & teams callls and there was no lag.) and lots of laughter and warmth from the lads that work there. I extended to stay a month as it was such a positive experience and I highly recommend!

This has been perhaps the best hostel experience I’ve ever had. Ahmed, Rashid and Nadi with reception are the best of the best, so accommodating and instantly make you feel welcomed and at home. They are always there if you need help and bring positivity and smiles every single day! The terrace is absolutely amazing and it’s a great place to meet fellow travelers. The breakfast is also 10/10 thanks to Samira and the wonderful housekeeping team. I cannot recommend Bayt Alice enough!!

Merci Ahmed pour tes excellentes recommandations ! J’ai passé un super séjour dans cette auberge, que j’ai due quitter à contre cœur (je voulais prolonger mais tout était complet !). À noter que les lits des dortoirs sont assez vieux (cf les photos des lits en métal noir) et, dans le dortoir pour femmes, j’ai dû choisir entre la pression de l’eau ou l’eau chaude… Mettons ça sur le charme de l’ancien 😉 La magnifique terrasse et la belle ambiance compensent ces point...

Stayed a week at Bayt Alice and had a very comfy stay. The beds are nice, the rooms big enough, the location right in the Medina, the house is funky and the terrace is great. I also worked while I was there and the internet never let me down. Both staff and guests were very friendly and the atmosphere generally was welcoming. Our room was downstairs facing the street, so it could be quite loud at night. It’s also an old building, so just go in with that mindset. It was totally worth it :)

Emplacement idéal pour explorer la médina et ses alentours ! Quartier animé à deux pas, avec plein de rues commerçantes. On trouve facilement de quoi manger à petit prix à proximité. L’auberge est impeccable, la terrasse est parfaite pour rencontrer du monde ou se détendre, et les équipements sont au top — j’ai même pu cuisiner un tajine ! Un grand merci à Nahdi et Ahmed pour leur accueil chaleureux, leurs précieux conseils et cette hospitalité typiquement marocaine. À bient...

Nous avons adoré notre séjour ! Nous avons été très bien accueilli, l’emplacement est top dans la médina, la terrasse est parfaite pour admirer le coucher de soleil sur la mer, ou prendre le petit déjeuner délicieux proposé par l’hostel (le meilleur de tout notre séjour au Maroc). Struggle to get warm water for the showers but everything else was great. Staff were very friendly and fun, English speaking. Great location, atmosphere, cleanliness, felt comfortable and safe.

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very helpful and the room was good. The terrace is amazing, but it’s the main lounge area, so it got chilly in the evenings. Only problem was the cold shower - it warmed up after a minute or so, but constantly shifted between hot and cold. Overall really good though, would recommend and stay again.
