Eftalya Hostel Tangier

Surcharge cachée à l'arrivée sans aucune explication. Le petit-déjeuner qui était supposé être inclus coûte un supplément caché. Les draps sont empilés en tas par terre et nous avions payé pour une chambre avec climatisation, mais ne fonctionnait pas sous prétexte qu'elle serait réparé au lendemain! I stayed here one night but it was enough to say that is the worst hostel I ever stayed in Morocco. The bed is a nightmare, feels like a piece of wood. I went in August and it was SO HOT. I asked to the guy if we can use a fan and he responses that in the middle of the night the weather got cold “wtf” it was almost 1 AM and me and the other guests were awake because the heat. Were 2 guys sleeping in the lobby (that was weird) with a fan and I took it, we deserve it!! We paid for that bed...

Avoid!There was no top sheet for our bed. When we asked for one the host did not believe us. He wouldn't give us a sheet over the 2 days we stayed there. He INSISTED he enter our room to check which was an invasion of privacy. On hygiene: unwashed bedding, sleeping with other people's hair on pillows, dead maggots in water around the toilet. No key to enter the building-you have to call them every time so we felt consistently monitored. It's like living in very disrespectful, untidy man's house.

The worker from the hostel was always nice and friendly. He texted me in the night before our stay to ask when we arrive and recommended a taxi to arrive. He booked us a driver for 19€ to pick us up from the airport. The rooms were very clean. The bathroom with the shower was like I would say „hostel clean“. The only strange thing was that we booked the deluxe room, but I don’t think it’s available at all. The room exists but I think the worker from the hostel stays in there.

The staff was nice but the hostel is in an apartment in a building with no sign outside, so we did not feel very safe when entering the place. The dorms were clean but the bathroom was extremely dirty.

the room looked like it had not been swept for days, lots of cat hair and very dusty, the bathroom was also dirty without being swept or mopped, the walls and glass had lots of soap splatters. The kitchen is also very dirty and messy. I asked for my room to be cleaned and it wasn't clean so I had to sweep it again because it was still dirty. I will never return to stay there. For those who like cleanliness, I don't recommend staying there.

The apartment is large and comfortable but they don't clean they don't change sheets when the guests change. The owner is possessive, stuck-up, bipolar and disrespectful. Taxis from the airport are not included, they charge them.

There is not a special environment, always someone sleeping in the lounge area (day or night) which I found it weird to be honest. The people of the hostle, all of them live there in the same rooms they rent. It feels safe for that reason as they seem to be good persons. No women around, only men working as well as all guests were men. The breakfast is nothing special, only bread and tea, much better in other hostels. The people working there are nice,however not easy make conversation with.

Place is good. However without Joe the manager it will not be functional. The owner overbooked me one night and I have to spend it on the couch. Luckily I’m Ok with it but I can see for other people it would be a big deal. Joe gotta be paid more, he serve and organize most guests

My experience at Hostel Eftalya (Tangier, Morocco) was absolutely amazing. On the 9th I lost my wallet with all my money and documents. On the morning of the 10th I had to travel to Marrakech, so I thought it was completely gone. To my surprise, on the 15th the hostel owner called me from Tangier to tell me he had found my wallet under the bed, where it had fallen. Not wanting to deal with the hassles of living and trying to locate the hostels in the Medina. I chose Eftalya Hostel in Tangier instead as its is well located in a modern high-rise building within walking distance to the Tangier Rail Station. Mr. Omar is a gracious host and responds promptly to my WhatsApp messages. The hostel has aircon and a nice sized kitchen. The WiFi was fast and dependable. Mr. Omar let me stay after checkout until later in the evening when my ferry left for Algeciras.

The hostel is so clean and quiet omar is so helpful and once I booked he contacted me with the exact address to the hostel and was waiting for me overall it was a great experience in the hostel and in tangier over all

The price is cheap, the location is great, other hostels are in old buildings, but this one is in an apartment building so there is an elevator. Above all, it is very friendly and safe❤️

Great stay in Tangier! Close by the beach, the train station and the city center, in quite neighbourhood. Perfect to go for to the beach or walk to the medina. Very welcoming hosts, they can even organize tours to the Hercule caves for a good price :) Wow!

The price was really good and has a good location but I felt a bit uncomfortable there. The atmosphere was strange and it’s an apartment. Also there are only 2 rooms so there weren’t a lot of other people there. As a girl I wouldn’t do it again.

la verdad desde el primer minuto que llegamos nos atendieron de diez somos una pareja que viajamos,estuvimos en varios hostel , y este en especial exelente ubicaion y muy buen trato muy amables , el hostel muy limpio los banos..exelente para para la gente que pasa por tanger no dude en elegir ... a solos 5 minutos de la playa !

During my trip I stopped in Tangier and found Aftalia Hostel and booked one night, then extended to six more days. I am very happy with my stay there, the hostel is next to the beach "Corniche", cleanliness, arrangement, quietness, location, everything is honestly 10/10. I thank the hosts and Mr. Omar for his cooperation with us and for the kind treatment.

The best hostel you can get at a cheap price! Aftalia Hostel is a five star hostel!! The beds, the Moroccan living room, the luxurious kitchen, the clean bathrooms... everything was perfect, especially the very strong internet. I highly recommend to guests to visit and have a nice time

It was our best experience staying at Avtalia Hostel during our visit to Morocco, the room is big, the beds are very clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful in everything, all you have to do is ask them for help for anything you need or have a question even if you are abroad. The bathrooms are clean and have hot water and are very suitable for showering.. The breakfast was delicious and on time. I highly recommend it to guests.

The hostel was very clean and everything was new, the staff were very kind and helpful especially Mr. Omar the hostel manager. The place is quiet and suitable for friends gathering, and the location is right next to the beach, I highly recommend it.
