Es war alles ganz okey. Der Inhaber der Villa hat wirklich alles gemachz damit man sich Wohlfühlte. Jedoch habe ich mich dort nicht wirklich wohlgefühlt. Es war nicht wirklich geputzt und aus den Abflüssen hat es nicht gut gerochen. Alles zusammen Solide, eine klare weiterempfehlung ist es aber nicht.
I stayed here for 6 nights and overall I enjoyed my stay. They have turtles and a dog and a swimming pool and it’s a nice place. For me, the 3 triple-tier bunk beds close together in one room were hell, but I moved to a mattress on the floor after 2 nights and this was manageable. I didn’t mind the 25-minute walk to the centre because I got to know the town a bit. Steevo is doing good work as a volunteer. I was given a bit of grief for not diving with them, which I felt was unnecessary.

Les triple lits superposés ne sont pas très confortables (matelas fin, très peu d'espace entre chaque étage...); plusieurs fois le ménage a été fait vers 22h/23h donc impossible d'utiliser la salle de bain et surtout on s'endort avec une odeur de javel dans la chambre... Il n'est pas autorisé de ramener des tens exterieurs à l'hostel mais le personnel invite leurs potes pour faire soiree jusqu'à 2h dans le jardin (qui se sont d'ailleurs servis dans les bières des clients dans le frigo...
Als je komt voor duiken dan is dit perfect. De dive master is heel chill en heeft heel veel ervaring. Heb hier mijn eerste duik gedaan na het behalen van mijn certificering en heb me de hele duik veilig gevoeld. Voor de rest is de hostel zelf gwn chill om lekker te relaxen.
Hace falta poner un poco más de atención en la piscina. Creo que está bien para gente que gusta estar relajada o pasar tiempo tomando algo por las noches y platicando en un término medio de fiesta. No fue nuestro caso, pero quien guste de esto estará feliz.
Mayacasa was a nice place to stay! The atmosphere is really chill and everyone is super friendly. You can also book dives with them. The diving could be more professional, beginner divers got a lot of freedom during the dives which were not always in line with safety guidelines. The hostel could also be cleaner. It wasn't really dirty or anything, but just seems like it doesn't get cleaned well or often enough. All in all I enjoyed my stay.
I didn't walk 30 minutes with backpack, I took a taxi straight from the ferry for 100 pesos. You can also walk a bit into town and from the next road there are mototaxis that will take you for 50 pesos. Casamaya feels like coming home. Pepe and Rudy have created a great, cosy atmosphere where everyone is welcome. Even if you don't dive! I didn't feel pushed at all, they are just very passionate about diving.
A new hostel with friendly staff and a very cute puppy. They can take you scuba diving which is very practical. The location is a bit far from the center and it's about 35 min to walk there from the port. The beds are comfortable but quite confined because there are 3 beds per bunk bed.
Casamaya was a great place to stay. The comfiest beds and best shower I had during my entire trip. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. They are dive instructors and will take you out for dives. They even offered to rent me their scooter when the rental places were closed on Sunday. They held a bbq on the last night I was there and the food was delightful. There is also a cute resident puppy and turtles to chill with as well. There could be lockers and plugs in each bunk to make this a 10.

I was so grateful to stay at Casamaya. The Hosts were so lovely and caring. It’s a super chill vibe - playing Boule, having Barbecue or just having a few drinks and nice chats. The accomodation is super clean and the kitchen is fully equipped.. even coffee and water is completely for free 24/7 There are many delicious food spots and a groceries nearby. The diving experience was gorgeous and professional! They know every great spot! This is the perfect place to unwind and relax
Excellent Hostel! The hostel was clean and fun, staff were kind and helpful. They have great diving as well with excellent guides that provide the best experience. Will be back for sure!

Very nice Hostel. The vibe was very chill and social. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They keep everything very clean. Kitchen is well equiped. Diving with them was also amazing :) I would definetly come back here.
I loved my stay at Casamaya. It is one of those places where you feel like home the second you enter the door. And a place where your heart breaks a little, when it’s time to go. Thank you for everything 🫶🏻
Casamaya was a fantastic experience. I stayed for 2 nights and did some diving with Pepe (he was a great guide) - both daytime and nighttime dives. The pool/bbq area is great to hang out at and people are usually all hanging out playing cards and whatnot at night. Friendly and social environment for sure. The bunk rooms were comfortable and AC was solid. Shoutout Steve-O, Pepe, and all the other staff - I miss this place already!!!
El mejor hostal en Cozumel : camas comodas, cocina equipada con todo, siempre limpio, zonas communes perfectas para relajarse o socializar, y tienen todo el equipamento para bucear.
Such a great hostel, the staff are really amazing and friendly. The daily up keep is great and done very well. It feels very safe inside and the atmosphere with everyone there is just really homey. They do a fantastic job when it comes to the diving aspect, can easily and quickly get dives set up for the next day. Also very connected making rentals and other aspects very easy.
From the moment I arrived I felt at ease. As a solo traveler in my late 50s it can get a bit lonely but this hostel is so social it’s impossible not to make friends and stories up conversations. Pepe and Steve-O are super helpful and the diving they arranged was first class. The main town is about 25 mins walk away but I only visited it once, preferring to hang out at the hostel. My room was super spacious and the shower was piping hot and powerful. Wouldn’t hesitate to start again.

The staff here are wonderful. The dive instructors are passionate and really care about your experience. The hostel manager truly wants nothing more than for you to have an amazing time. The location is a bit of a walk from the tourist center, but for myself and many others that is a good thing. There are local shops and cantinas in the area. During my stay the dorm had a stink. Aside from that great experience. Would definitely recommend.
Ich hatte eine schöne Zeit im Casamaya Hostel. Super Leute und kompetente Taucher. Ich bin für 3 Nächte und 2 Tauchausflüge geblieben und kann es nur weiterempfehlen! Vielen Dank nochmals an Finja, Steve-O, Rudi und Pepe! Vielleicht komme ich eines Tages nochmal wieder.
This hostel doesnt have different groups of travelers meeting up, everyone hangs out with everyone here. This is the best place If you are uncertain as a solo traveler that you find people to hang out with.
Top Hostel wenn man tauchen gehen will und eine gute Atmosphäre sucht. Pepe, Rudy und Stevo sind richtig cool drauf und schaffen ein Gefühl der Zugehörigkeit und Gelassenheit. Auch der Hund Maco und die süße Katze Coco sind teil der besonderen Atmosphäre. Ich habe Weihnachten hier verbracht und wir hatten eine super schöne Weihnachtsfeier! Auch beim tauchen kennen sie sich richtig gut aus und sind sehr gute Guides! Immer wieder gerne.
Meilleur auberge que moi et mes amis ayons faites au Mexique le staff est particulièrement adorable et s'assure de tout faire pour que votre séjour soit le plus confortable. Ambiance ultra convivial avec tout le monde discutant au soir autour de chants et autres activités je recommande absolument d'essayer le détour en vaut la peine !
Superbe auberge ! On s’y sent vraiment comme à la maison. Il est facile de rencontrer du monde et de s’intégrer. Le staff est mega sympa ! J’ai fait de la plongée pour la première fois, et c’était vraiment une expérience de dingue. Je recommande à 100% l’auberge si vous êtes de passage à Cozumel

Really a good place!
Wish I could have stayed longer! Very welcoming staff, it is easy to meet people. I did 2 days of diving and it was incredible! We were only a 2 people group and the instructor was professional. Good facilities, lots of animals, the location is a bit far from the harbor (30min walk) but allows you to be away from the touristy city center :)
