the bathroom was small I could shower on the toilet if wanted. No real room for a sink needed to wash my hands by reaching out for it. everything was extra money even cleaning the private room.Not a very good location. at our last day there was no electricity the staff said it in the whole island but we went around the koh tao had electricity in most places

Disappointing. Such grubby rooms. Felt dirty in the shower and bed. Blankets were so old and felt oily. Windows don’t close so the rooms full of mosquitos - I’m prone to getting badly bitten so this was my worst nightmare. I got 16 bites in 1 night(!) but even my friend got a load. The sketchiest and worst experience I’ve ever had and I’ve been to over 50 countries. Had my phone stolen (which I suspected was the staff who helped me with my bags since he’s the only person I interacted with since I last used it) and they completely refused to take responsibility of it or help me with my situation at all. Instead, I received the rudest attitude from the staff and owner ever, even though I was still being polite. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Completely ruined my trip.

Good stay until we found adult and baby BED BUGS in our room. We found over 10 on our bed curtains and there were some running across the bed too. Staff told us it was too late to change beds because reception was closed. They didn’t even offer to change the bed sheets until I explicitly asked. We had to sleep there as we had no choice. Really disliked staying here, unsociable, smelly, no good activities/organisation of those activities. Staff unfriendly, subpar location away from the busier party scene (not that far but far enough to not feel very safe at night as a woman), the beds were so uncomfy and the shower was full of mould. Really unsocial if you’re not doing a diving course, everyone wants to go to bed at 10pm because they have early dives. Didn’t sleep well once in my 5 nights there and couldn’t wait to leave.

A lot of people love this place but our experience was AWFUL. A couple drunk idiots pissed all over the floor while we were sleeping and all over our shoes. okay, not the hostels fault. But when we go to tell them what happened and how we’re no longer comfortable there, they had the audacity to kick US out. my sick sister wanted time to sleep until we could check in to another place and they wanted to resell the bed and told us to get out even though we already paid and there was no refunds!!!

It's not easy to meet people, and it's a bit far from the beach. Not the cleanest place I stayed at. The staff couldn't accept any feedback. Also, I called before booking to confirm that diving was possible, but upon arriving, they informed me that it wasn't.

We stayed in private rooms. It was maybe the loudest room I have ever in, you could hear everything on the busy road all night. Our tap exploded on the second night leaving gushing water flowing all night with no access to a toilet, we couldn’t do anything as reception was closed. Our friends ceiling then leaked all over their bed and they had to both sleep on one side of the bed. Reception made a temporary fix which lasted about 1 hr but the bed was still soaking wet.

Unfortunately all four of the reception staff I spoke to were really unfriendly, rude and unwelcoming - the worst customer service that I have had in any hostel in Thailand by far. They seemed really irritated and made me feel like a complete idiot when I politely asked where my room was & when I was buying my ferry ticket etc. Really unprofessional to make guests feel so unwelcome and they didn't even bother with a smile or saying hello when I arrived & bit my head off when I asked for help.

Staff were rude, told them i could checkout at 6:45 or after my dive and said to checkout after at 12:30 and they said that was fine but was half hour late and still charged me for half day even though all my stuff was off the bed and packed so the cleaners could clean and weren’t even there before my checkout so no idea what i paid my half day for. We had no power for 2 days out of my stay for a week. Ants in the bathroom and bugs in the room.

Great vibe, yummy tacos for a decent price. It is a bit of a hike from the main road but nothing too bad. Cleaners came in every day and organized our beds, cleaned off the sand. Would be a perfect hostel if it weren’t for the fact that they don’t offer free water.

The staff were absolutely amazing. The rooms were a bit run down and so was the bathroom. Location was a bit far out and about a 15 min walk to sairee beach.

Amazing diving school, highly recommend the open water course. Rooms were good but there is a bit of a smell in the bathrooms that doesn’t go away. Restaurant food was also good and not overpriced

Perfect place to get scuba certified! Nice people and lots of common areas.

Bel Hostel, à 10-15 minutes de la plage et de la vie nocturne. Personnel très sympa, belle terrasse ombragée et fleurie. Seul bémol : le bar était très cher pour un hostel et pas de bidon d’eau pour remplir les gourdes !

The staff is super nice and the rooms offer what they promise. They’re simple but spacious and the beds are comfy. However, the layout is not ideal since the sink is in the bedroom itself and when you come home late you kinda have to brush your teeth and wash your face in the dark. Unfortunately, the bathroom smelled so extremely of sewage, that I only went in there once a day to take a shower, and used the common toilets in the basement instead. Other than that i’d definitely recommen...

The perfect place to stay if you want to get your diving certification. Booked with them at check in for the next day and it was super easy. You also get three nights free which is nice. The diving was great, felt incredibly safe the whole time and had the most amazing instructor. Also nice because it's mostly people from the hostel so easy to make friends. Apart from the diving, very social, easy to meet people, and the tacos/burritos are really good

lovely hostel and would recommend. However the only issue is that the ensuite bathroom is an issue because there is only 1 for the whole room. Also there is no water dispenser which is diabolical!!!

Het hostel zit op een hele fijne plek! Je bent heel snel in het centrum. De kamers zien er niet super mooi uit maar de bedden liggen lekker en de douche is heerlijk ruim!

Really nice space and diving school is great as well as staff. Rooms were dark and dingy and a bit cell like. Didn’t like the curtains and was happy to leave after five nights

Horrible, the bathroom smelled disgusting. There was no soap or shampoo the entire time I was there. And the truth is, they didn't clean the room properly because there was a lot of sand on the floor the whole time I was there. The power went out two days in a row, so there was no AC for quite a while and it was difficult to rest. The good thing about the hostel was the common area, and some of the people who worked there were very willing to help.

Loved this place, the Staff are amazing and host activities every night. Location is 5 min walk from the main strip so it’s quiet but most people are hanging out in the common area until 11 so it’s easy to find people to go out with. They also offer great Diving there, most people including myself extended to do the open water course and loved it. Already missing the vibes here! Would recommend to anyone staying on Koh Tao!

Good location and near a lot of nice restaurants. The hostel itself and the common areas are very nice but the room absolutely stank of drains and sewage. Also one bathroom for 6 people, basic rooms, shower didn’t drain at all, and I got locked in the bathroom for 40 minutes the first day. The staff were helpful and eventually got me out but the facilities are what lets the hostel down really. Other than that it’s lovely and has a great bar/restaurant.

Great hostel great location, great food aswell. Nice balance between being social and being chill.

I loved my stay here — extended after my dive! Perfect place to get your dive cert as well. Social in the evenings, beds are comfy, bathrooms are very nice for hostels out here. I really enjoyed my time here!

Great hostel, the vibe, the people, the staff and facilities are all great. It has a social atmosphere but also doesn’t feel forced. Would definitely come back here if I’m visiting Koh Tao again.
