The "no refund" signs at the entrance were a red flag I should not have overlooked. Clearly people ask for them a lot, for good reason. Long story short: my room was hotter than the bowels of hell, the sheets and walls were dirty, the mattress is clearly broken. It was terrible. I decided I wasn't staying there for 4 nights. Offered to pay the first night (of course), but not the rest. They refused. No refunds. EVEN THOUGH I COULDN'T HAVE KNOWN THE STATE THE ROOM WAS IN BEFORE I PAID
I COULDN'T CHECK IN BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO KEEP A PHYSICAL COPY OF MY PASSPORT. BASED ON THEIR ATTITUDE AT THE RECEPTION, I DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER ASKING ABOUT MY REFUND OR ARGUING.
Horrible hostel. We arrived late and we couldn’t let the hostel know because of the signal on the road. When we arrived the guy from the hostel told us “come back tomorrow at 9, there is no check in at this time”. After insisting ha accepted to open us. However, my friends booked a private room, and after opening 3 private rooms with people sleeping in it, the guy realized there was no private room available. They had to sleep in a dorm. The staff is horrible and the hostel is the one to a...
Not at all a nice hostel. It was empty during a high touristic season and I understand why. I booked a room with AC and payed for it and when I arrived they said it was booked without AC. The rooms were terribly hot it was impossible to sleep. The staff was not friendly at all and you're only allowed to keep your bags until 6pm so it's very inconvenient if you have a night bus. After check out you're not allowed to even stay in the hostel until your bus arrives.
I only gave the staff 3 stars because they helped me investigate which cleaner stole my necklace and 100 pesos from my friends wallet. the owner assured me that all his staff have been there for 7 years and are profesional on a email and after the desk girl told me the cleaner has only been there for 3-6 months and i emailed back the owner plus some photos of the lockers which by the way are small and in poor condition. reimbursed me. not for the entire stay but for my remaining days which is ok
It is one of the worst hostel I have been to comparing to the 30-40 hostels I have visited around the world. It is definitely the dirtiest, they were many insects in the mouldy bathroom, including worms in the shower. Many stains on the bed sheets. No key provided so after reception closed at 11pm, we were told to be on our own or to get the chance to get someone attention. We didn't take the risk to be locked out at night though and came back earlier.
Hostel très sale, odeur nauséabonde dans les parties communes, odeur d’humidité dans les chambres avec des grosses traces de champignons sur les murs, la cuisine était très très sale. Je ne recommande pas
For the cheap price there isn’t a lot to expect but there are better alternatives. I was the 7th bed in a 6 bed dorm there where a lot of ants in the room, the dorm room stays open 24/7 the bed sheets have holes and stains, wifi only works near the reception not in the room, matras was not comfortabel at all. Good points are: the windows have mosquito screens, there is breakfast: cereal, bread and coffee. And the roof fans keep the room reasonably cool. Overall I would not stay here again but ...
No AC was terrible. It was crazy hot
Hostel won’t turn on AC before 9pm. The rooms are boiling hot. The bed in the dorm is so bad, you can feel the springs very much. The kitchen was dirty and the fridge hasn’t been cleaned in forever.

It's close to airport
Nice spacious room and property. Staff were really kind and accommodating. Our toilet was not working but staff did everything in their power to fix it and ease our stay. We had a very late check-in and they kindly stayed up to let us in. Had an issue that the price was not the same as hostelworld told me it was.

Incredibly welcoming staff and the people who live there are amazing
This is a nice hostel. I stayed in a lovely little private room, which was a bit too hot. The breakfasr is ok but better than nothing. And there’s a small pool.
La Ermita? I return here because it's the best in Merida. I hate to give such a glowing review because when others discover it, it becomes harder to get a reservation! There are no negatives here
Extremely beautiful hostel. The common spaces are gorgeous
nice hostel with nice people. loved the vibe but that was probably because of the people. kitchen was very small and also a bit smelly. the female room was very nice and clean. staff was very friendly. would recommend!
Really nice property, unfortunately the demographic was old men when i was there and being objectified before my morning coffee, and everyday i was there really made me feel like i would rather ve dead then have to suffer through another conversation with any of them. i think these blokes are gravitating towards this place because of the camping that is also offered on the property, some of them stayed in cars.
faabuuluussss hostal
EXCELENTE SERVICIO
Hostel génial, super beau, bien placé, la piscine +++

Everything was good except for the loud music playing from about 5-11 PM. Unfortunately, the music was playing right outside the mixed dorm room and we could either close the windows & boil from the heat or open up the windows and endure hours of loud pounding music. Music is being played by workers(not hostel workers) that are utilizing the hostel for lodging, not by fellow travelers. Overall I want to emphasize this place is a gem, the staff is nice, I hope they can resolve their noise issue .
OK hostel with free breakfast, a little bit far from the historical centre (20 min walk) but would not stay again. It was hot and my ceiling fan made so much noise it was impossible to sleep with. Luckily a separate fan was provided. Toilets didn't flush well, no hot water in the shower (I told staff about this two days in a row and nothing changed day 3..). Swimming pool didn't look particularly clean or inviting. Bedsheets were stained. The good thing was it was cheap.
First check in was for one night. Stood here for 3 weeks. For people without a plan where to go next, this place is like Hostel California, you can check out any time you want but actually never leave haha Really enjoyed it here. The Stuff is amazing, super friendly and helps you with everything. The breakfast is served with fresh fruits! Perfect location to come around easy by foot like the central of Mérida. Everything you need is around the corner. And 2 lovely dogs are welcoming you :)
